The lady from Jacksonville is the great Susan Tedeschi who just happens to be married to Derek Trucks, the slide guitarist in the video (who used to play with the Allman Brothers). The Tedeschi Trucks Band is one of the best acts on the touring circuit, catch em if you can. Great pick guys!

I think JPJ probably arranged this performance. He is criminally overlooked by the casual fan, but not by musicians who know how brilliant he is. He was such a big part of their music not only with his phenomenal bass playing, but with all his keyboard work as well as all manner of stringed instruments and bass pedals. He added so much color to Zeppelin’s music and the band wouldn’t have been nearly as good without his contributions which also include his arranging skills along with his song crafting. Thanks for doing this one because it’s always good to keep this classic material alive with great musicians giving their interpretation of music that probably inspired them as it did me.

The Tedeschi trucks band is so good!!! I saw them last summer at the Bend amphitheater. I’m in a slide guitar kick these days. I suggest the song “ANYHOW”. Strap in- it’s awesome. Derricks uncle was drummer for allman bros. He is married to Susan Tedeschi who is 9 years his elder. A charismatic couple who is absolutely top notch.

There are so many incredible artists from around the world in this Playing For Change organization. They have been around for a while. Check them out often please, you will enjoy everything they do. Awesome! Love the blues combined with the eastern vibes. And Susan Tedeschi & Derek Trucks are amazing musicians. And of course John Paul Jones was the glue in Zeppelin and talented multi-instramentalist. Some of the song reminds me a bit of a live version that Page/Plant did of Kashmir.

Thanks for including this info so I don’t have to. We know how Zeppelin had great taste in music and borrowed (credited or not) a bunch. They made it accessible to a young generation of rock and blues fans. I’ll always be a Led Zeppelin fan. 😽❤️‍🔥

JPJ is not underrated by musicians, they are very aware of his multi talent skills. I am a diehard Zeppelin fan, and also an amateur drummer but absolutely believe, and am in the majority when I say Jones is the most talented in the band. Cheers...
Side note Alexia has such a beautiful smile. 😀

Actually, now I am thinking that this cover of Memphis Minnie's _"When the Levee Breaks"_ is even better than Led Zeppelin's cover.

What most people miss is that Led Zeppelin's 'When the Levee Breaks' is a cover of the 1929 original release by Kansas Joe Mccoy and Memphis Minnie about the Great Mississippi Flood of 1927; the most destructive river flooding in U.S. history. Playing for Change is an organisation that needs more attention for reactors to expose their mission of bring peace to the World through music. They do so my funding music schools in underdeveloped countries & 'Turnaround' projects in America. Please react to more of their stuff, my suggestions is 'Stand by Me' that was one of their first to be noticed projects & 'Teach Your Children' with an amazing lead vocalist Tula.

Zeppelin created music for the centuries. Immortality is the reward when the music is more important than passing fads and the shallowness of image.

Nice choice Michele Michele. My favorite from the Playing for Change series.
Memphis Minnie recorded "When the Leavy Breaks" in 1929.
    ruclips.net/video/W5VmVvsjyKw/видео.html
My other favorite form the PFC series is "The Weight".
Fun Fact: Over the years John Paul Jones is know to show up at the Lyons, Colorado RockyGrass bluegrass festival as a spectator and play Mandolin with the campsite pickers into the wee hours.

      *_"Not a cover band"_*
Who? Led Zeppelin? Up to about two dozen of their tracks were covers. This one was written by Memphis Minnie.
But, generally, they had a dreadful record of crediting their sources until after they'd been sued.
But I think that this cover is almost as good as, possibly even better than, Zeppelin's cover of _"When the Levee Breaks."_
