I really hope if the new recruits work for Deimos we get to use the cool keres legion guns from the cinematic
Those are Nighthaven built guns, they were in the last cinematic with the death of Harry. The only gun that I'm aware of that's been datamined/leaked and also isn't in the game is an AR-57, which is very different from those.

Those guns are absolutely massive. 5:30 The Keres soldiers' supporting arms are fully extended but only reaching halfway down the receiver.

Another piece of info that could point towards Deimos not being the leader is that in the animated video we got of him betraying Rainbow in the past; he was picked up in a helicopter by someone. He was recruited himself. It all starts with the recruit….

Are those people Rainbow's recruits? I was under the impression that they were 707th's recruits (the Korean counter-terrorism unit) since they all seemed to be Korean, and were training under Korean operators at Tower, a South Korean map.
As a verb Cull means select from a large quantity or obtain from a variety of sources - which in this sentence it’s a verb.

@@No-mq5lw In Outbreak but not Extraction, Ubisoft pulled support on the game due to their own poor management and timing of its release. I still play the game and think they did a good job, some sort of Sandbox/Editor mode would have been amazing, or even a be the Arechean mode
@cssib the reason it died was because it was a separate game. Not to mention the change from Black/Red to Blue/Yellow. Also, it had too much competition to other games like Deep Rock Galactic and GTFO
Deimos used the word “culled” specifically.
Culling the herd means to remove the weak and make it stronger. This is shown with RAM taking down the helicopter and still keeping her head. It can also mean that he could have HIS recruits now in rainbow do Deimos’s acts at the tower.

I’m betting that Deimos and Keres Legion are a smaller sub faction of Walker’s Wolves group from GR: Breakpoint. Their MO seems the same; Former special forces soldiers disillusioned with the politics and bureaucracy that hinders them achieving the mission. Plus we know Deimos is working on chemical weapon warheads; something that Rainbow was following leads on when they arrived on Aurora to stop the Wolves chemical warhead production
could also just be lazy writing by ubisoft

I think the recruit remaster since it will have 2 recruits, I think 1 will be Team Rainbow and the other will be Deimos’s crew.

100% I think we’ll get a cinematic that shows demos in a cell or something of the sort then he’ll say a villain line and then something flashy will happen and it will be recruits betraying the operators and essentially busting him out
I have a few ideas for the recruit rework:
Basically i saw they used the images of the recruits of r6 mobile and i hope it won't be like in the mobile game in which they can't change the gadgets, but maybe they can use some part of the loadouts of the mobile game for the rework, so my idea is to use r6 mobile so we can have a rough idea of what their loadout is like and look at previous gadgets for older siege games that didn't appear:
Recruit ATK:
M4 (if we assume that he keeps all his weapons, it's very likely that the l85a2 will be removed leaving the Mk 14 EBR and
M249)
Sdp 9mm pistol so he might lose the p12 and keeps C75 and super shorty
If they do like r6 mobile he will only have Grenade (so no smoke hard breach and impact EMP) as primary and breaching charge as secondary but very likely he will get another secondary it can be: stun grenade, claymore or breaching charge (I hope he get the stun grenades but might be to strong)
If he gets an original gadget i was thinking of C4 he gets 2 of them he throws them and blow it up killing everying on the blast and the utility. But it's to much similar to regular nitro so i have another idea.
Snake camera: This will allow recuit to use a small camera he can deploy to peak behind reinforced doors without risking a drone and it's bulletproff and he can use it without exposing himself to much (enemies can see the cam.) if he gets that, the breaching charge are perfect or claymores and with other operators the synergy can be extremely good recuit breach the others throw nades.
Recruit DEF:
UMP-45 (assuming he keeps all the weapons he has right now, i think it will have an ACOG because the mp5k and m870 are better)
5.7 USG so he will probably lose the p9 and keep the Smg-11
In r6 mobile his primary gadget is impact grenade (so no nitrocell if we can't change his gadget) and in his secondary is barbwire and maybe for the other one a shield or bulletproof camera.
If he gets an original gadget i was thinking of an heartbeat sensor BUT not like pulse the one recuit gets is similar to the ones of old rainbow six games (at least the 1st mode) it is attached to his arm and it has 2 modes the 1st one is stand-by and is sound based and will do a bip sound (maybe a small vibration on controlers) and it will be more frequent the closer you are to an enemy but they can't ear it. The 2nd mode is ON this one deplete the battery and have 25-30 seconds of use it increase the range and show a minimap (like the one in cod warzone ) and every 5 seconds a radar wave will be sent to give you a rough estimation of where the enemy is however the enemies can hear the noise your heartbeat sensor make and if you try to switch mode to save battery it will reset the 5 second timer to avoid abuse and if you use all the 25-30 seconds the battery is depleted and the sensor becomes useless so you better stop when it's at 1%. For secondary gadget i don't really know maybe like pulse nitrocell and sheid or barbwire and impact to make it different.
Other stuff i would like to see:
-Sheild for ATK recuit because it will make the pistol useful and also would be hilarious throwing a grenade from behind a sheild.
-Having the orignal recuit as a free legendary skin.
-Allowing to play multiple recuit in casual if he doesn't get an original gadget.
Stuff i didn't think was good:
-I saw there was tear gaz that you cloud use in older siege games but i didn't took the idea because ATK recuit don't wear gaz mask and also it would hurt your allies starting seeing everything in red.
-Custom recuit: my older idea was to allow us to chose the weapons recuit was able to use making the recuit of each player unique and to limit that to be to much broken i had an idea of a 15-10 point system to limit everyone to pick broken guns like if you wanted to use ash's R4-C it would cost 5 points and less powerfull 2-3 allowing people to chose to become a swiss army knife or just focus in 1 role
I feel like a good original idea for the gadget is giving them the ability to steal gadgets from dead allies and enemies with a limited capacity. It feels wrong to give them a specific thing but if they steal gadgets it would play into the villain aspect, And be viable for new players and experience ones. This also allows for multiple people to play recruit without overloading the game with the same gadget.

I personally think there will be skins for the recruits that change their standing. Rainbow, Keres and Nighthaven gear for the recruits where you get to choose who your recruit is working for. Maybe the gear itself having the lore attached to it rather than the recruit themselves. changing the recruits lore depending on what gear you're wearing. They could also include recruits in cinematics or comics and just use the different gear to show what groups recruits we are seeing.
Also, a Greek operator coming out after Deimos is no accident I think.
Deimos is the god of fear. He's the son of Ares, the god of war, and Aphrodite, the goddess of beauty/love. He had a twin brother, Phobos, who was the god of terror. I think this Greek operator may be either the head of Keres (perhaps named Ares) or another important member (maybe named Phobos).
I also think, since we got Rainbow operatives crossing over into Ghost Recon games, maybe if Rainbow really does start falling apart, the U.S. would send over Ghosts to help patch it back together. I imagine even Keres would find themselves unsure of how to go up against the Ghosts

yk how deimos has a reacted operation, i think it may be patriot because his quote says "i was there when rainbow began, ill be there when it ends" and we know he worked under rainbow in 2012 becuase the anime cinematic (when he departed) and patriot was in development in the early 2010s. short theory tho.,

Ideally (at least for me) the recruit rework cosmetics would be Milsim like. For example like the Milsim skins in Modern Warfare 2019. Like multicam fbi operators, black and blued out GIGN operators, Russian spetznaz regulars, etc all earned through either battlepass or renown/r6 credits
Maybe we'll see a few things in the years to come. Hear me out here.
Devs once said they plan on having 100 playable operators.
We saw division amongst troops with the nighthaven saga. What if they were toying with the idea with some ops defecting or stepping over to other teams
Maybe we'll see balance with the numbers and there be R6, NH & KL ops to choose from.

The thing with the whole “Blackbeard might die with his rework” theory, is that what are they going to do with all of his cosmetics if they decide to make Blackbeard a new person? I doubt they’d be able to put all of his cosmetics and his elite skin on the new character and make it fit with their personality, not to mention it would look *really* weird. Obviously they can’t just delete all of his cosmetics from the game because a lot of people spent money on them, so I’m kinda leaning against the theory.
Even if they give him a completely new gadget, I’m sure they could easily explain why he chose to use it instead of his mounted shields, just like they did with Tachanka and the Shumikha Launcher. I don’t think Blackbeard is dying, lmao.

What would be cool to see is that recruit go back to the way he originally was where you could pick which division he was in like SAS or GIGN, but instead you get to pick like different teams in rainbow, like red hammer, or even be able to play under night haven or Damos. This would honestly be a really cool concept in my opinion.

The Greek operator is likely to be Kure Galanos, a sniper from the earlier games Rogue Soear and Raven Shield. It was also said in her wiki page that she was the inspiration for Glaz as a sniper themed operator.
My theory is that Kure will come out of retirement after Rainbow reaches out to her about the situation with Deimos and his identity since the two might have history together. What role she might play in terms of attacker or defender as well as her gadget is anyone’s guess
There might be two parts to the recruits, gameplay and lore recruits maybe in lore there under cover bad guys but gameplay we get an almost self insert maybe we just play good ones (with bad recruits as skin), also it be weird if the only other operator didn’t match demois, my guess there demois but attack so roamer around hunting but maybe they decided the other evil to be very different maybe there the statistics so there about setting up with a defensive gaget

It's a cool idea but I think as they'll be recruits for all new players coming into the game for the first time I doubt they'd make the sorta tutorial Ops into villains
Personally i hope we get an even and fair mix of cosmetics for recruit that harken back to the customizable soldier we had in the Rainbow Six Vegas games. Attack and defense recruit respectively get different cosmetics and even gadgets.

Slightly off topic, but anyone notice how they just completely abandoned the white mask threat narrative? Like when the game was first released, they were the main antagonists in the story, they were in terrorist hunt and of course article 5, attacking Bartlett with those awesome cinematic cutscenes. But ever since they started playing paintball in a stadium, they just got completely ignored (and TH even got removed 😢)
The recruits Deimos' headgear is talking about is the gal he killed on the cinematic for tower in Heavy Metal with Ram.
Well yeah they gave Deimos a Keres phone logo. So it's definitely probable that we're getting more from the Keres Legion. Because it would be just a waste to use it just for him.
As for the Recruit's it will probably be Attacker Recruit working for Keres and Defense Recruit will be Rainbow Recruit. As for the "Deaths of Recruit's." We kinda saw this already with Grim's teaser trailer and Brava's teaser trailer.
As for BlackBeard dying it's definitely not the case. They won't kill an Operator just look at the cgi cinematic Rook, Doc & even Deimos all got shot in the face. As for Deimos being in the game he's being forced to work with Rainbow again. The recent Deimos videos explain it. Which is why you see him going up against Smoke (Who's NightHaven.) Does that mean NightHaven is coming back into the fold? We need a video of them returning.
The Greek Operator is speculated to be a Defender Sniper. She's the one that Glaz lost to in his Bio back story. Only because the Dev's said " a new gun is on it's way."
Deimos is wearing a ballistic mask, both Rook and Doc have ballistic visors covering their faces.

Personally, that description for the headgear felt like a dig towards the attack on Seoul Tower where Deimos killed a handful of recruits.
However the masks Morse code is intriguing.
With Ash now up and alive, per the ingame animation for Y9S1, and Nighthaven's Osa making a interesting comment on perhaps Nighthaven extending their communication again. Year 9 is going to be a banger year.
I think we will have a evil year and the recruits may have some backstory that is from keres but maybe...maybe they are on the run themselves from the big head of keres and joined Rainbow.

I’m just getting back into siege after losing interest around kali joining but I wonder if Deimos is just trimming the fat off rainbow.either he’s being the bad guy to use the bad guys forces to cull the weakness he saw, or maybe he’s pulling a big boss from mgs3, final theory is he wanted a worthy opponent to take him out. Just going off of what he said to Harry because he obviously doesn’t hate rainbow
With regards to this whole year introducing Keres Legion ops, I'm actually not opposed to the idea! But I hope it's not ALL bad guys. In particular, I'm hoping that the Greek operator introduced is Kure Galanos, who was featured in a Mid-Season Reinforcement alongside Glaz, and that she's part of the Rainbow Operational Staff-- it would be interesting to have another operator from older games to contrast against Deimos, and the path he went down.
I do like the idea that Deimos is just another pawn, but I can't help imagining that he actually is the big bad--if the new recruits are evil, maybe they break him out? That forces Rainbow on the run, and makes the current division in Rainbow of "we should've killed him" versus "we did the right thing capturing him" more tangible and contentious.
In any case, I'm really excited to see what happens next!

Imagine if they released a new rainbow six game with all the multiplayer stuff but, with a campaign like the old rainbow six games like raven shield.
ideally. create a power rangers recruit elite. allow to choose per round which color you want so you can 5 stack and have all the versions.
With recruit I thought they’d be bad but I hope with Blackbeard they put a under barrel grenade launcher so “nading from below” would be somewhat back.
maybe we'll get og recruit, mobile recruits, article 5 recruits, and demio's recruits from the cinematic as skins

my guess on the nighthaven rifles is that they are lions vector rifle with a smaller mag and different look but they could function the same there for being like gridlock and cap m249 same gun but slightly different

Alternate theory: The new recruits are specific people one each side (or one person who can play both sides), who has a history with Deimos. As Deimos was once a recruit.

Blackbeard's death might be teased in the game its self, his uniforms description from the battlepass says "Lost a lot of people to this job. Someday it might be me. I can get too comfortable"
What if we get a recruit for every squad, whether or not they are in rainbow. They could have different variants for each group. I think that would be the best idea for the rework

I'm thankful we have the 9th year of content for this game. However, I miss the 2 ops and new map per season. This year is only 2 new ops and reworks (5 new operators if you want to count recruit and Blackbeard). I know "data limits" exist, but I am skeptical of that because of all the money and resources Ubi has at their disposal. But again, awesome that R6 is still going on
I think "culled your recruits" is referring to the Seoul attack, you saw what happened.
I want to keep the original recruit I feel like getting rid of him just wouldn’t be good and if Ubisoft wants to add a second class that is for both attacker and defender I would be up for that especially since the current recruit only can be used in quick match.
If the recruits get actual gagets, I'm willing to bet they're gonna add "ammo bags" that might partially recover gadget uses.
An ammo bag wouldn't really make sense for a full fledged operator. What's their background story gonna be? "I lost my whole squad because we ran out of ammo so now I always order more ammunition and carry it everywhere with me". Not a very compelling background story.
Also if they are with Deimos it would kinda make sense, like they stole/replicated R6 technology so thats why they have it in their ammo bags.
i think you should follow the story theory up with the idea of rainbow being broken apart, cos it then makes me question where nitehaven would fit into all of this, and what is going on with them since kali was captured by rainbow back in Y7S4 and nothing about whats happened since (and i dont think kali would hsve just wanted to sit on the side especially once rainbow learnt of demos and hunting him)

at minimum maybe in teh battlepass this year after season 2 we start getting recrut skins theamed after the 4 rainbow squads, a nighthaven look and a keres legion outfit (if none of them ar the default one)

if they add the Keres leader i hope his on Attacker maybe he and the rest of the leagion will attack rainbow to save deimos cus deimos must still be a important part of the leagion maybe a succesor or something
I was really hoping Recruit would be removed after so many years of Ubisoft only selling Deluxe and Ultimate editions of R6 so new players would be incentivized to use different ops similar to League, Valorant, Black Ops 4, etc since most of the time people encounter Recruits its just troll rounds.
Imo bring back the old class system of recruit but with different guns and factions being nighthaven , keres legion and rainbow
There’s an item in the battle pass, I can’t remember which one exactly but it’s a nighthaven operator saying they should reach out to rainbow
Another possibility is that the recruits are actually from nighthaven who might support rainbow with deimos.
Could also be responsible for Blackbeards reworked gadget when it releases.
