Thanks for this information. I am very new at making beads with less than 100 under my belt, I will take all the help I can get. I have watched your removing beads from the mandrel video and it also was very helpful. I hope I find more videos from you. What I would like to learn is how to pull the glass rod away from the bead without the molten glass stretching into long hair-like fibers. When I am wrapping the glass around the mandrel for a bead and want to stop I fail lol. I enjoy a lot of artists' videos but have no technique for the little things they may take for granted hahaha.
Angela, if you hold the rod in the flame while you pull it away from the bead, they'll melt apart rather than stretch the rod out. I hope this is helpful! I do have a playlist of other lampwork tutorials I made. You should be able to find it on my channel. Thanks for writing!
