I love that you include the "extras" that contribute to the language of signing. No one else I have watched does that. The language is more than just vocabulary; it helps to know how to put them together so a person makes sense. Thank you.

Maybe because others didn't cover "grammar" as the title says, which is the way to put words together.

The non-manual expressions seem like they’re going to be a little hard for me, especially doing two at once, because I’m going to have to think about the sign AND the expression, so it’ll get a little confusing-but I’m sure I’ll get the hang of it :) thank you, these videos are helping me learn!

From what I’ve learned from a content creator who has deaf parents is talking while signing is counter intuitive. They must pick one in order to teach or you can be taught wrong.

I was left-handed as a child, but my grandmother "corrected" me, so now I am right-handed. When learning to sign, I sometimes mix up which part of a sign goes with my dominant or non-dominant hand. Would that confuse a deaf person if I accidentally switch for certain signs? (And what might a hearing analog to that be?)

I'm currently working to improve my French fluency, then my Spanish. After that, ASL. I study ASL just a little every three days, mostly with these videos, while spending most of my time on French.
When I make ASL my language focus, I will look into this accelerated program more. I really liked this preview- best approach I've seen so far.

Everyone is welcome, hearing or not. If people who are deaf and HOH were the only ones who learned ASL, then Meredith wouldn't have / need this channel. Think of ASL as learning a language and communicating with others - those skills are always welcome and needed.

Why was asl kept in French syntax all these years since English syntax is easier for so many hh, deaf and hearing? They have to write and read English and it seems asl French syntax isn’t even kept completely and with many not at all. So many speak pidgin even deaf and hh.

I missed. I actually signed the "Sign" and then "Language". I see now that
you only need to do "Sign" and don't add the "Language" one in there.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I also noticed when you sign, "ASL", you're moving your hand in a circular
motion while signing it. Is that necessary or do you have to sign it always
    with a circular motion? Thanks.
