Great work!
You’re a real one, thank you Chris!
Always great to see an old tool put back to use.
Indeed, thank you for watching my video Dave. You’re a real one.
The shots of the cutting torch in the hardy hole slowly turning toward the fellow is priceless. At least they managed to not tip over the main casting and break it in two like my ex girlfriend did. Nice work, hosers.
I understand that the coil spring can fail and shoot out in the direction of the operator. Hence the cage. My 50 is a 1920 no cage. On my list to make one. I’m using a 1910 modern but like the lil giant for compact ness. Have fun!
Kent ,I agree with you. the guard screens as for protecting the operator if and when the springs fails. I have heard comments from people about have shards of the spring in-bed into their bodies.
I didnt know this channel existed, great video and awesome soundtrack! I watched the whole thing, you're a good guy Gabriel thanks for all the love. see ya soon my friend!
Thank you brotha, I appreciate you! Hopefully I’ll see you and the boys at makercamp!
This was a Very Heart felt Video!!! For a man that is..
I'm sure your very happy and you should be!
Can't wait to see your calling😇
GOD Bless
Thank you friend, it’s true there was a good deal of emotion involved with this project. I’m glad that made itself evident through the video. Thank you for watching.
I believe your crosshead is upside down, older hammer’s have it up and the newer versions with the different ram guides have it down.
I’m not sure that’s true, In the original schematics and ads for the Little Giant company, the crosshead is as I have it.
Button fuses as a disconnect 🤔🤷🏼♂️
I’d go no fuse disconnect and rely on the breaker from the panel to break if it does
Damn good work
Thank you for the input. That is probably the wiser course of action, and if new breaker disconnects weren’t exorbitantly expensive I’d have done that.
I found a used disconnect with the lever that I wanted for real cheap, so I used it.
@@ragnvaldur384 gotcha,
I did enjoy watching you learn throughout the restoration,I’ll be check n in as you roll the footage out
I dabble in building just a little 😉
Dude your comedic timing is on fucking point, good shit
Thanks brother, I’m glad you like it!
Cotter. Excellent video. Thanks
Yes, thank you. I remembered what they were called when I mumbled the name to the guy at the hardware store.
Maybe next time you measure the threads before relieving the tension of the spring 😅 i like your video though!
Nice video, really like it! Good jobb on the hammer! / well wishes from Gotland Sweden
can you tell the overall wheigt of the little giant ??
With the dies and the motor it probably weighs around 1,850 pounds or so.
I don't understand, what is the problem?
This was less about solving a particular problem, and more about looking for any problems that I’d want solved by taking it all apart and putting it back together. More like a maintenance check up than anything.
