i like how they retconned the Sonja character to have dark hair and cast Rhona Mitra who looks similar to Kate Beckinsale, because in the first movie it was mentioned that Selene (Kate B.) reminded Victor of his doomed daughter, which was why he spared her life.
I also appreciate the little bit of Star Wars Special Edition they pulled on the first movie. Some copies of the first movie now feature Rhona in the flashback of Sonja’s death now as oppose to the random lady they originally used..

i tried to find this alternate version online to no avail. i found the extended version, but the flashback scene still has the original blonde actress in it. IMDb says "a version is available (*most notably on U.S. Netflix*) where scenes with Rhona Mitra were inserted in place of the original scenes." i guess the uploaders don't have the U.S. version.
She was still a great, very sexy choice regardless of all that.
This is actually my favorite film in the series!
One of the best prequels I’ve seen that matches up really well to the first film. The original three underworld movies were great. The others not so much.
The Underwold trilogy are amazing, they went so high on the camp they finished the journey on top of Everest.
I just started a rewatch of the Underworld series and literally watched this one last night! I thoroughly enjoyed ROTL and the previous two but things started to go downhill with the next installment...
The next installment became resident evil with vampires and werewolves

This one might be my favorite of the series. It’s definitely better than the two that followed it.
Both Michael Sheen & Bill Nighy really gave an Oscar worthy performance here.
Those two can chew scenery and make us happy moviegoers. Plus they can give excellent restrained performances when called upon (I mean both eventually scored Oscar nods with Sheen getting his nod the year after ROTL & Nighy for Living in 2022)
@@LucyLioness100 they don't have to go hard for their performance but yet they did in this movie. I think this is what late Christopher Lee meant when you starred in god awful movie. Just because the movie was terrible, doesn't mean you have to do the same
I have the same response for anyone trashing Underworld: "It's better than Twilight."
I have been revisiting this series recently actually and I like this one the best. Because it's in medieval times the battles seem more fierce and less like a Matrix/Equilibrium ripoff. It's more meat 'n potatoes.
After having recently rewatched all the Underworld movies, this was easily the best one.
Rise of the Lycans was the best one.
Ending it on that "cliff banger" earned you a thumbsup 👍😜
We are trilogy in and we still top the resident evil franchise! That's quite an accomplishment!
I do miss Kate in this film but still a fun entertaining film non the less still a better love story than Twilight!!!
I loved these movies back in the day, but after rewatching them, I don’t think they age well. I need to rewatch the first one though, because it was always my favorite.
I appreciate the third movie. Hell I’ve always enjoyed the franchise as a whole. Even part 4. Haven’t seen part 5 yet. I really should check it out.

love it i would say make more but i can imagine that kate is probably tired at this point juat like Mila is tired of resident evil
I recently read the 2004 prequel novel (Blood Enemy). Then this came out five years after that novel and the author had to novelize it. I wonder if he was pissed about that.

The only multiverse story I care to see . . . . besides Spider-Verse of course.
It was a terrible film, but it has Michael Sheen shirtless for most of it, so it is forgiven and the best film of the series
His and Bill Nighy performance was the best part.
It IS a male-driven franchise. ALL flicks of this nature are male-driven. Back then, they understood that and gave us what we liked instead of deliberately refusing to do so.
I like HANNIBAL RISING. Sure, it´s not at the same level as the first three but it is a really enjoyable movie in itself. So much so that I own it on BD with the others.
The Thing prequel was very, very good and done with extreme care and love for the original. Another one I own on BD.
And Rise of the Lycans was extremely good as well.

An English voice-over requires someone that speaks English...
yeah that movie was terrible.. honestly, the second one was ok, but everything after has just been utter garbage
I saw this on LSD once and it was the ugliest movie imaginable.
