This is a trustworthy channel. After much research and sorting out which channels are just hyping products vs. conveying solid info, I too, landed on E6 and the R10. As mentioned in the video, there are a couple quirks, but tweakable and for the average to good golfer, this is an awesome solution for the money.
I love GSPro, use the new Bluetooth connector with my Garmin, don't need to use my phone anymore! Haven't tried E6. 450+ courses around the world so realistic and growing. I'm actually designing a course myself that is local to me, so much fun....Thanks for the videos...
@@GolfTestDummy Unfortunately, it requires a Windows PC, but totally worth it in my opinion. There's also a one-time purchase option and the amount of courses is insane. Here is a video on how to run GS Pro with R10. ruclips.net/video/uWCbrfjcuko/видео.html
I used my TGC 2019, it’s terrible on my Mevo Plus, then switched to iPad version on iPad Pro of e6 connect, the accuracy was spot on, £800 wasted, my set up was correct, without any interference.
I know this is random, but I was thinking it would be interesting if you revisited the Single Plane swing but followed Kirk Junge instead of Tod Graves.
Ok do you run E6 off Ipad or PC? You said graphics are really good which makes me think you must have a PC cause my Ipad is top line running E6 and it's pretty basic
I’m just getting started myself and I have the garmin r10 playing in my garage also; my question is what distance are u using for ball to screen and ball to unit. Are u running iPad? What size screen. It looks like ur projector fills the screen all the way. That’s one thing I’m having problems with
I'm confused about the subscriptions for the e6. There's a license for 2500 for 27 courses then there's a one year subscription for 300 for 27 courses. Do you need a license and a subscription or is the license a lifetime thing. The website doesn't really explain anything.
The Awesome Golf range is better than the E6 range. But E6 is better for actually playing rounds of golf; it also has a range data portal which is superior to the basic .csv file export which is all that Awesome Golf currently supports. When I’m using Awesome Golf in Detailed range mode, I actually perform a screen recording on my iPad to capture everything. I don’t know what people see in the misnamed ‘Coaching’ mode of Awesome Golf, which doesn’t actually provide any coaching feedback. The Detailed view of Awesome Golf provides all the data in one place. The Garmin R10 is a fantastic device. Its only drawback is the space required (6.5ft. R10-tee, & 7ft. tee-screen/net is all that’s actually needed). You aren’t missing anything by using the R10, because the qualitative difference between the R10 & the vastly more expensive devices is practically nonexistent. Since space in my semi-open carport is at a premium, I went ahead & ordered the new Skytrak+, because it only requires 18in. horizontally from Skytrak+ to the tee, & only a couple of inches of ball flight. But the qualitative difference is pretty much nonexistent, & if I weren’t space-constrained, I would’ve stayed with the R10. I’ll still use the R10 at the range & for travel, because it works really well & is eminently portable. I’d suggest you check out the Phigolf 2 (be sure to get the 2!), which works with E6 & doesn’t require hitting an actual ball. It works well indoors, & also visualizes swing path well. Finally, Sci-Core practice balls work really well with the R10 (I’ll be using the newly-available white ones with the Skytrak+). You may want to try them, as they’re quieter & don’t inflict as much wear & tear as real golf balls.
Cool course and nice breakdown. "That's a big rock" LOL. I think that I saw a video of somone playing that course in real life; amazing landscape. Have you looked into GS Pro at all? I'm by no means knowledgeable about this subject and have just been reading up on some aspects of GS Pro after watching Willy Long and a few others. I guess that there's about 170 real premium courses and 5 fictional ones for about $250/year or something like that. I found out ( you probably already know ) that there's a hack to make it work on the Garmin Approach. Anyway, I was just curious on your thoughts on that even though E6 Connect looks great. The whole idea of just being able to try the Augusta knockoff for example seems pretty cool. Cheers.
@@GolfTestDummy Good point, I'd be pretty stuck on that prerequisite too unless I steal the gaming laptop we bought my son a couple of Christmases ago. I think that he'd miss it though since he's almost biologically connected to it 🙂 Cheers.
@@GolfTestDummy Here's a simple and yet really potent tip for power and ball striking. When I utilize it, it's dynamite so I was wondering how it would work for you (in fact, I don't think that it can fail to work for anyone if it's done right). This is definitely true for every great ball striker that I've ever seen and the bigger the arc that you produce while doing it, the more power you feel and produce. It will also obviously have a big effect on takeaway without one really having to occupy oneself with it too much. Quite simply. all really good and especially powerful ball strikers have the lead arm going up and coming down roughly in around the same orientation when you look at the swing at about 1/3 to 1/2 down to the ball. The real juice of this tip is that when seen DTL all these ball striking masters create a loop around the lead arm where the clubhead goes outside of and above the lead arm on the way up and then loops around and falls behind and under on the way down. Some players with a really explosive change of direction like Jon Rahm or Cameron Champ will create a bigger loop whereas those with smoother change of direction will have smaller loops. This in a nutshell is really the golf swing. I have discovered and rediscovered this principle several times and keep coming back to it's incredible potence as a swing fundamental and really almost an entire methodology if you are able to incorporate it. Swings will look different because people get the lead arm up and down in different ways depending on body type and physical attributes but those 2 things regarding the lead arm and club relationship remain a constant. Basically the swing happens from the lead arm and shoulder and the club in concert with it in the way that I described and everything else just functions as supporting elements to make that happen. When you get this really right, the ability to accelerate the club square and on plane becomes almost unbelievable and the more one can do it and increase the arc, the greater that effect becomes. Also, if you want to take lead wrist extension mostly out of the swing, all you have to do is the same thing but have a bigger loop on top of the clubhead and then loop it ,more onto the plane of the swinging lead arm as it comes down (instead of behind and below) and this will make the swing mostly stress free on TWE but you can still develop a lot of power. Cheers.
Just curious, now that you have had the R10 for a while, if you had the money or option to get a older Skytrak for around double the price of an R10, would you have rather went with that as your launch monitor or would you still have went with the R10? I am just starting and cannot decide which way to go. I think I can get an older Skytrak for $1200. Like you, I don't want to break the bank, but might be willing to spend an extra bit if it's worth it. I've been following you since the beginning, It's been a fun watch. Love your channel, and thanks in advance for advice. Mitch
Tough question, because I still haven't had a Skytrak, but, one advantage would be that I could use a fan. My garage this time of year is sweltering, but fans mess with the R10.
I find I have to tweak the elevation on the e6 to compensate for the R10 under reading distance. Once dialed in, it’s very close to my actual yardage on the course. I moved my elevation settings to 5000 ft.
Gday Chad, I am currently in the process of building a golf simulator room within my backyard Garage, I am also on a tight budget so I am making everything myself apart from the things I can not make, I will probably be buying the R10 and also using E6 and Awesome Golf, I was interested in the MLM2 Pro, but the yearly subscription and the fact you must use the Rapsodo ball to get spin and spin access is another cost restraint, the Rapsodo will not give spin or spin axis with a normal ball, so balls will continue straight after the launch direction, I think alot of people will be turned off by the continued expense of the MLM2pro. I would love to buy a expensive launch monitor and have GS Pro, but if I want to continue to be married to my beautiful wife I better not, and I really can not afford it, that’s the main reason. I think I will be very happy with the R10, I am 46, and it wasn’t that long ago that I thought I could never afford a golf simulation room, how times have change, we are living in a great time for Golffers. keep up the great work Chad, cheers from Australia 🇦🇺 👍
Haha, yep, staying married is why I haven't bought a Trackman or GCQuad. The R10 will measure spin if you put a little piece of metallic tape on it. Works well.

Designing course onto simulator so you can play it? Or actually designing course being built near you IRL? Would love to know more about it ..

A license means you have it for life. A subscription is a recurring once per year fee.

I hadn't heard about the hack, but I'll check it out. I think you need a good laptop to push the GS software, and I'm fresh out of those, haha.

I got a OG skytrak on Amazon for 700 bucks. It's refurbished and runs flawlessly.
is there any way on e6 to just show the shot tracer and not have the camera follow the ball mid air?
I THINK there is in the Admin section.
Problem is accuracy. How accurate is it?
It depends on the device you use, I suppose. I use the Garmin R10, which I've found to be very accurate to what I get on course.
