Second time, in two games, in which Loyola has hit a game winner in the final seconds...after being down 61-62.

They were leading 90% of the game. They deserved to win
It is really crazy it happened to be 61-62 both times, I agree, but nonetheless Loyola’s pullin through big time 😄😄
Haha I was watching the scoreboard for the Nevada game and it looked somewhat promsing for another 61-62 to occur. Was getting ready to switch it on. Oh well! Survive and advance Loyola...at least until my Wolverines *cut you down* 😈

Loyola has beat Florida, in Gainesville (#5 in December); #6 Miami on Thursday; and now #3 Tennessee. In South Region, only #2 Cincinnati remains from top 4 seeds.
Tennessee plays a lot like Cincy. Defensive stalwart with a decent, but not great offense. Loyola has a legit shot of reaching the Elite 8, and even the Final 4 if somehow Kentucky gets upset before the regional final...which unfortunately I don't see happening.

I’m glad for this my final was Villanova vs Michigan. I also had Villanova winning it all.
At the beginning of this run, I was fortunate enough to witness myself, both of the first two games in Dallas. I feel privileged to have experienced such moments.
I was lucky to see them beat a scary Nevada squad. Juco guyz were built nba ready. They hit 2 3pts at the end to keep it a 1 poss game. Then Kentucky fans 90% of crowd was shocked that they had to play a team. K-State was sharp and smart. Loyola got a break. K-State seemed to have no legs.
I’m sure I speak for all Tennessee fans when I say that I’m dead inside.

As a Gryffindor alumnus, this is still the most memorable and emotional March game in my known world. Custer's shot was aided from above. 11, Loyola's seed, is also my favorite number and there's another story within this fairy tale tournament run ;-)

It’s because this game was played in Dallas, very close to where Texas Tech is located. The Texas Tech-Florida Game was after this one, and many Tech fans, being as classy as always, chose to stay outside the stadium and drink, as alcohol isn’t served at college games. Another reason it looks so bad there, is because that was the designated Texas Tech section.

Golshten was 5 8 guard. Hughes was the guy. It was a shame played last game against a monster team. Nothing was falling. Still a Great showing by the c or d team from Chicago Public League. That is not a insult.

I did too. Anyone who has paid any attention to them at all knows they are a quality basketball team. They are tough, disciplined, well-coached, and really don't beat themselves. On the defensive side of the ball, they make you work for every inch. I think they are going to take Nevada and go to the Elite 8 too.
Ya same... that game is a tossup tho. I didn't originally have Loyola in the E8 (b/c I thought they were gonna end up facing Cincy in the S16) but yah I agree they could def. beat the Wolfpack

Nick: their basketball team is always bad because white players are not allowed to play. this cuts out a large demographic of great athletes and opportunities which is why most of these teams are compromised. when you only let blacks play on your teams it makes you very one dimensional.thanks to the owners college basketball has become just like the NBA which means no whiteys allowed.

reckless it’s really all the Missouri valley teams honestly.. creighton when they were in the valley. Wichita State in 11 northern Iowa in 08 against Kansas and alittle bit 2016 and now Loyola CHi in 2018.. who’s gonna be the next. Hope it’s Indiana State

The two teams I mentioned will meet in the MVC Championship Game tomorrow.
Drake was one of the “bubble” teams and needed a big showing to make it to the Dance. Already succeeded in one area by lieu of beating Missouri State today in their semifinal game.

Nah, not really. We did win 3 Stanley Cups within 6 years. I say a sweep last year and a bad year this season is a small price to pay for all those.

Two big turnovers in the closing minutes by Loyola with only a 2pt lead, and then with a 1pt lead with 20s remaining and Tennessee still couldn't capitalize. Pathetic. They deserved to lose.

The elite could still potentially feature Duke, Nova, Kentucky, Michigan, Kansas, and Gonzaga. There are still some great programs in it. I get what you're saying, some want to see a champion that has proven themselves all year long. I personally love the upsets though. That's what makes March Madness so great. It really underscores what being a champion is all about: You have to be ready to play every night, treat every game like its your last, and respect every opponent...or you can be beaten. Just ask Virginia. A 16 beating a 1 is potentially a once in a lifetime opportunity that you or I will never see again. Just enjoy and appreciate the fact that good basketball is not exclusive to the Big Ten, Big 12, SEC, ACC, Big East, and PAC12.
