Dharamshala is the winter capital of Himachal Pradesh and a popular destination for nature lovers, culture enthusiasts, and spiritual seekers. It is home to the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan government-in-exile, and has a rich history and heritage that reflects the fusion of Tibetan, Hindu, and colonial influences.
Mcleodganj is a suburb of Dharamshala and is also known as Little Lhasa because of its large Tibetan population and culture. It is a hub of Buddhist monasteries, temples, cafes, and shops, and offers stunning views of the Dhauladhar mountain range.
In this video, I will show you some of the best things to do and see in Dharamshala and Mcleodganj, such as visiting the Dalai Lama temple, trekking to Triund, exploring the museums and markets, and enjoying the local cuisine and nightlife.

I have seen your video on dalhousie and Khajjiar as well. I want to cover dalhousie, khajjiar, chamba and dharmshala. Will 8 days trip be enough?

I'm glad you enjoyed the video! I was actually in Himachal Pradesh around the same time last year, from November 28th to December 8th. So, you can expect similar weather conditions.
Dalhousie was pleasantly cold, but not unbearably so. Wearing warm clothing is definitely recommended. Dharamshala was a bit milder, while McLeod Ganj was noticeably colder. Chamba's weather should be perfect for your visit in December. If you enjoy snowfall, you may have to postpone your trip for like a month. If you enjoy snowfall, you might consider postponing your trip by a month or so.
Eight days is a good amount of time to cover these places. You could allocate 2-3 days for Dharamshala and McLeod Ganj, with the option of staying in Dharamkot or Naddi. Two days are sufficient for Dalhousie and Khajjiar, and one day can be dedicated to exploring Chamba and one day for surrounding areas like Sach Pass. You can use the remaining day to travel between Dalhousie and Dharamshala.

How will weather at November 1st week
It's a very tough question, to be honest, but I'll make the answer simple for you. The altitude of Dalhousie (and Khajjiar) is higher than Dharamshala (and McLeodganj), and thus the weather there is cooler all the time. November is a great time to visit Himachal, no matter which part you are planning to visit.

Snow-capped mountains aapko for sure dekhne ko milega. McLeogganj, Naddi aur Bhagsu nag ke taraf bhi aapko snow mil jayega. In case aapko wahan snow nahi milega toh triund Trek pe toh mil hi jaayega. December end se Feb tak chances bahot hote hain snowfall ke.

Anyway, due to the cloud burst and flood that happened in Himachal last year, several bridges on the Pathankot-Nurpur-Palampur-Joginder Nagar narrow-gauge route were severely damaged and the repair and reconstruction work hasn't been completed yet. So the trains are not in operation in this route for now.

November first week me mausam pleasant hoga. Na jyada thand na jyada garm. Agar aap warm cloths carry nahi bhi karenge toh chalega. Par tolerance capacity etc sabki alag alag hoti hai toh aap chahein toh halke warm cloths le ja sakte hain.

It's unlikely to find snow in the mountains around Dharamshala in September, but the weather will definitely be pleasant-neither hot nor cold. You can expect snow starting from the end of December.

Dhrmasa aur meclodhanj se khajiar jane me kitna time lgata hai aur kya scoty bike rent pe milegi dalhauji jane ke lie.
Of course. Aaapko scooty/bikes aasani se mil jayenge Dharamshala se Khajjiar jaane ke liye. Distance 120-130 kms hoga phir phi 4.5 - 5 ghante ke aas paas lag jayenge. Bus se bhi jaana chahenge toh Chuari Khaas ka bus maine Nurpur se toh jaate hue dekha tha, shayad Dharamshala se bhi mil jayenge.

Thoda hectic schedule hai toh 2 din me most of the places cover kiye ja sakte hain jo Dharamshal aur McLeodganj ke paas hain, door ke jagahon ko skip karke jaise ki Kangra Fort aur Jwalaji Temple ko. July me jaana recommended nahi hai kyun ki rainy season chal raha hota hai. Landslides, road blockages aur time waste ho sakta hai baarish ki wajah se aap ghum nahi paate hain toh. Par agar baarish nahi hoti hai toh phir koi issue nahi hai. Uss time pe jaane se pehle weather forecast thoda check karlena.

In March, it'll be hard to find snow in Dharamshala but, you can find scattered snow in McLeodganj. If you are up for trekking, you'll definitely find snow in Triund next month.

You are right. The surrounding won't be the same as shown in the video in May or June because this video was shot in early December, but the max. temperature will surely be around 30 degrees celcius whereas it's above 40 in most part of the plains.
