    As you know or maybe you don’t building materials have now gone down significantly but builders will say otherwise because they like how much they can charge for homes at the moment and tell people materials are still going up . Do you come across this often ? Wood for example has dropped back down by 40 % and it’s the number one reason builders will tell you that the home you saw for cheaper is now more expensive . At what point do you see builders stop doing this and stop using this as an excuse to charge way more? You might totally disagree for all I know but it’s happening all over Texas RN unfortunately .

    • @Joey-qb7mf
      @Joey-qb7mf 2 года назад +2

      I’m sure other builders will abide by that drop in prices to increase their revenue in response to the high interest rates, which will lead to those other frauds having to doing the same. It should only be a matter of time. I guess that’s the only red tape here?

    • @adrianlynnministries
      @adrianlynnministries 2 года назад +8

      Ask for itemization of proposed cost for your real estate ATTORNEY to view, I’m sure prices would suddenly align with going rates for materials in that area!

    Yikes this really misses the mark. These finishes are very apartment quality. Maybe that’s what counts as “luxury” in El Paso, but seems more like a developer that likes to cut as many corners as possible to increase their profit. This will look even worse in 5-10 years when it looks severely dated

    I'm surprised they put a typical rock wall around this house and it's very low...doesn't match up...also, why not a double front door with side lites & transom...that small single door is dwarfed by the home...and a $2-$3k door is a cheap door...look at a Provia built door system...best in the industry...also and it's hard to tell for sure but I hope that's not aluminum framing on all the Window's & sliding doors...worst material thermally...and especially being a dark bronze, the sun is going to heat it up and it will fade.

      My husbands family lives in El Paso great place to visit and have family memories. Most locals do not make a high enough income to buy such a house.
      Agreed there isn’t enough beautiful landscape or water (no man made ponds or lakes at the very least). These homes are for out of state folks to buy and than rent for a high price. They will see there is no market for such prices.
      Maybe bring more businesses or tech company to bring jobs and higher wages to make it make sense. There is no casino, sports team or art scene out of state folks. I don’t get it.
      If I win the lottery I would buy an older home with some charm on the west side upgrade it with keeping the charm and call it a day to bring the family over. That’s how it’s done, not contemporary overpriced boxes this isn’t LA 😂.

Floor plan is questionable. But yes good idea on elevating the wine fridge. It would be better if it was just a taller wine fridge though. I wouldn’t consider that view a money shot though! Those are some barren desert hills! But hey I hope the owner enjoys it. I’m sure they like the house.

      You would hate my home my kitchen is even bigger lol But to answer your question, I built my home big and spacious because I'm close to my family & I love that holidays are always at my home.

      It’s great for holidays for lots of kids and those friends to gather around and have big meals . There are a lot of good reasons to have a big kitchen unless you have no desire to ever cook or have people over than it wouldn’t make sense . Either way that’s a house made for entertainment whoever buys it will
      Likely be a fun outgoing person with friends to share the space and have parties with .

      That’s what I’m saying. The house looks pretty basic too. The style of the house reminds me of a storage room, I mean look at the roof. To many wasted space and the person who built this home has no taste. Backyard is pretty small for a 2 million dollar home, my 250k house has a bigger backyard. For 2 million what a waste.

    Born and raised in El Paso TX. I don't care who the builder is, your home will always be dog shit. I have had friends, family and acquaintances show me their homes and always done improperly. They don't care about you or your home, they want the $$$ and nothing else.

      Who built your last home that you have such bad negative comments?

    • @mitcheroar

      @@compatunzz care free homes. Two story home, with an ac unit appropriate for a 1000 sqft apartment. EVERY summer, the unit froze multiple times once we reached 100° days. We'd call for a repair constantly and had many sleepless nights because it was 90° in the house. Our insulation in the attic was improper insulation and caused the top floor to absorb the heat. So every room was warm regardless of the temperature on the thermostat. The peak of the roof was also done incorrectly and when it rained water would leak in through the gap at the top of the roof. The washer and dryer were placed upstairs and the drain pipe had trash and pieces of the wood from the workers. Even found a crushed up tall boy in the PVC piping. Into our first year all that trash stuck in the PVC piping caused a break, which led to the ceiling below the wash room to fill up with water and collapse. We had to get the ceiling fixed three times after that due to mold and mildew build up. Throughout the house but, particularly in the main restroom were sunflower seeds within the grout. The shower in the main bathroom was not properly installed and caused water to fill up on one side instead of draining. When we tilled the yard to place sod. We had to do it four times due to the amount of building materials within the ground. We ended up removing three feet of dirt just to get rid of all the trash. Our granite top on the kitchen island was not sealed down and used to shift if you pumped into it. A few rooms couldn't handle certain devices attached otherwise it would trip the breakers. The devices being a vacuum, TV, hair dryer and so on. The driveway was also done improperly and when the house settled three years in sent a nice lighting bolt crack down the driveway to the sidewalk. There were two small 1x3 windows towards the ceiling in my room for lighting purposes that wasn't sealed correctly and when it rained water would build up and run down my walls. There's tons more but, I hope that gave you an idea.

    Nice home but the only thing is the taxes and El Paso is a shithole. My sister in law lives in Santa Theresa which is better for taxes because is in the New Mexico side right next to El Paso. But still believe the whole place is not my vibe. Specially because it’s right next to the border. The jobs don’t pay good because many people cross the border to work on the U.S. side but live in Mexico.
