Your tutorials are really well done--thank you! I had an existing Printify product that was not listed as Personalizable (ceramic ornament). I edited the product in Printify by toggling the switch to Personalizable, published this as a product update to Etsy, went to the Etsy shop and placed an order to see how it would work. It came into Printify under the "Other" tab and from there, the workflow in Printify was different from what you showed. I had to "select product" and save it, and import it, and then got lost for a while. Next it was in "review" status, but finally I was able to Personalize it. It's in Production and it does have the Personalizable tag on the Orders screen. I'm not sure why my workflow was different than yours, but just a note for others that the workflow exists, but there could be reasons why it's not exactly the same...?
Thank you! I made a listing following your instructions and got an order within 3 days. Would not have known about this feature if it weren't for this video.
Per Printify chat, they do not have a bulk edit feature to enable personalization on multiple listings, but she told me she would pass the feature request on to their team. 90% of what I sell is personalized, so I’m hoping they decide to add bulk enabling ASAP to save time!
Great informative video! Thank you! I have been doing all my personalization and designing on photoshop and illustrator... since I've been using fonts that I don't see on Printify. So is there a way to upload our font files to Printify so we can access it under Add Text? Otherwise, I would still have to do it the old fashioned way of duplicating the orders as drafts. Need to give Printify some feedback.
Thanks. I just put up an item and got an order within a day. It was so easy to personalize right in the Printify page. No going into Canva to make changes. Oh... Printify and Printful are MERGING!!
Any older listings you have manually add personalization you can select it and add it from the 3 dots but it’s not done in bulk. Make sure if you change and publish that your personalization instructions haven’t changed as it will go to printifys default instructions.
Hello, can you create a video on how to sell sets of items on Etsy through Printify. For example, if I want to sell a set of 4 pillow cases , please guide accordingly.
There have been some complaints that the printer doesn't always get the updated file and has printed the previous file, so it is recommended to still switch the entire image. Also If I do my personalization on Photoshop and not Printify, when I open the personalization, do I just delete the file on there and upload a new image? Some personalization is the customer's image vs changing font.
Thank you. This is a great explanation. So you don't have to have hello custom? I suppose it depends on order numbers and time saved on a business to business basis
Yes, it could still be worth using one of the services that handles the customization step for you if you have a high order volume. This new feature makes it easier to manage orders overall if you sell both personalized & non-personalized designs, but it still requires you to go in and edit every personalized order.
I noticed that on the shipping information of the print providers here on Printify, it says a first item shipping rate and an additional item shipping rate, what does that additional item price mean? Does that mean Printify will charge an additional shipping cost if someone buys two items or more from my etsy shop, even if it's the same item from the same print provider? If that's the case how do I adjust my pricing if I offer free shipping so I won't lose money?
Now if they could just do an option to have multiple products in one listing I’d be all set. Bc for many of my custom listings they are family listings built on etsy first, with empty skus to accommodate having kids and adult products in one listing, and then I manually make them on printify once ordered. I guess I can go in and now add all the skus manually once the personalization is turned on for an item, I’m hoping that will do it. Do you have a suggestion?
When you receive a personalized order, do you send a mockup photo to the customer with their personalized text and/or photo and ask them to approve it first before you submit that order to production? Also, you said you use the fonts in Prinity design tool for the text layers. Are you able to do text effects (shadows, outlines, background etc) with the fonts in Printify design tool?
It depends on the design - if the design is personalized with the customer's photo/image or a significant change to the design, or if the text they provided does not fit perfectly, then I message them with a mockup image to approve. But if the design is a simple text personalization that doesn't require any special adjustments, then I do not send a mockup for approval before submitting the order. The text layer feature on Printify does not allow text effects - no shadows or other features, just plain text. If you want to have those features in your text you would have to include the text in the print file and then just replace the print file during the new workflow to personalize the order - still not bad, you just have to create a new print file before you can submit the order.
@@PODinsights Does Printify let the you upload external fonts to the font library, so you can choose and use the fonts direclty on Printify in the fututre when you'd like to use the same font again?
A question about this... Does this mean that I could select 20 (or more) different colours of G5000 shirts from Monster Digital in only Large size (in example), but offer all sizes (S-5XL) on Etsy and then simply change it to the ordered size in Review? That seems to smoothly get me past the limit of 100 variations... This would be in addition to the other personalized design offerings. And, I likely missed this in your other video, but I've been staying within the 100 variants by not offering all sizes in all colours. But, this seems so much cleaner.
Not crazy about the new look on Printify, I don’t care much for the font and it seems harder to read and the colors are not vibrant enough 🙃thanks for the updated video 🙂
The timing of this could not be any better! I have a number of personalized items set up the old way, and I am in the process of trying to set up more, and I am frustrated by the old process. I am very excited about this new process! Regarding Printify’s “glow up”… I am fine with the new UI. But, somebody over there seriously needs to reconsider that awful green neon colour choice. That colour belongs back in the 80s. Not as a representative colour for a printing company on the cutting edge of technology

Can we combine this personalization method with group listing ?

Any idea how to do this on Shopify / Printify?

@@shinewu7738no you aren’t able to upload any right now
But is it also allowing to let the customers give a photo of something and that that is the "design" im selling?
Because on the help page there is only text noticed
If you done your design on Place it and it is marked personalized on Printify do you do it the old way?

Agree! I’m using the old look as long as I can. The text and colors are awful.

I'm with you on the new colors...I really hesitated to change the green for the video thumbnail.
@@PODinsights Yep. I don't even care if they Wake Me Up Before it Go Goes... 🤭
Hello do you know if this is an offer in the Pop up shop. Thanks in advance
Not available in pop up shop
I Noticed you skipped the Customer Approval step? Where you get final design approval from Customer before submitting order
Can anyone please tell me how he did the text layers in order to change the personalization text directly in Printify?
He created the text in printify itself.
Want a feature to be able to add fonts in printify.
