Hi Jim, I'm John and started the wood turning last summer and I'm impressed by your turning, I'm curious about Your lathe the brand and how much it cost you To buy it. Thanks John
My lathe is quite old. It's a Nova 3000 from Teknatool and it's over 20 years old. I think I bought it new for around $1500 but I really don't remember. I have to change belts to change speed so it's not very user friendly but gets the job done. I'd like to upgrade it to a variable speed or buy a new lathe but I can't afford it right now. My advice is get the best lathe you can afford. Thanks for watching and for the kind words! I hope you enjoy your new hobby, it's addictive!
@@FRBPturning looks with your talent the lathe is just half a job, nice turning and also I start turning with Phil Anderson very good thecher, good luck 🤞
Nice work and lovely timber
Thank you and thanks for watching!
The grain colors and patterns are terrific. Nice turning
Thank you and thanks for watching!
