What an ambitious project. I just love this. I'm getting Botecelli Venus vibes. The idea that she's a lure I'd genius. Love how she turned out. Also I NEED that concept art as a colouring sheet!! You're so right about the heat gun. I should stop being lazy and get mine out rather than just battling with a hair dryer. Really interesting about the Crayola clay being the best. Never would have guessed that one! Ha supervisor son. Love it.

I believe that you chose the right head for this project. The mouth looks a little too big for the face, which adds to the unsettling feeling. This entire project is amazing, however, and this piranha plant is enchanting!

He's the BEST assistant. I'd miss so many steps without him. ❤I had thought about maybe adding sugar or something to the paint, but only after I finished 😂I'll try baking soda next time, thank you! 🥰Chances are I'll need some texture again.
Talk about a saga! What a wonderful outcome. She is totally amazingly fabulous. I was super anxious that the mouth armature wires wouldn't hold with the hot glue (I might have been yelling at my phone Twist Them Together!!) but damn is this creation stunning. Bravo.
I feel so dumb for not thinking of that! 🤣 I'm still learning lol. But I will definitely remember to twist them for next time! Thank you for pointing that out ❣
I was amazed when you showed wip photos in our collab group, I also showed to some family members. It is nice to watch how you made your doll step by step, she is a true art work!

I had the pleasure to see this masterpiece come together in person, but it never really set in how much work actually went into it, as I only caught glimpses of the in-progress piece. Watching everything that you did here really is impressive. You completely nailed the concept and she is absolutely terrifying and gorgeous! I love how the resin saliva really brings the realism and her face draws you in, like she is watching your every move. Wonderful job!
She has to stay on my shelf to remind me not to take on such a large project under a deadline again 😅But I am really proud of her. Good learning experiences all around lmao Thank you my dear! 🥰

My nine year old has a "girlfriend" (the label was her idea) but I don't think he views their relationship any differently than any of his other friends who are also girls. He doesn't seem to know how he feels about that stuff yet. In contrast, my four year old loves boobas and bootahs lol. He's also a major flirt. He was really excited about the "monster" portion of this doll though. I previously made an Asari custom and he was also super interested in her. So at least with dolls I think he's less interested in them being attractive, but more so in them being inhuman, powerful, or "other".

lmao nah. I have a 4 lb tub of apoxie that is several years old. I actually tried to use as much of it as I could on this project because it is yellowing. Same for the model magic. The clay will only last so many years and if I don't use it, it will go bad. Waste not want not.
