This is such a great breakdown of both bullet journalling and project tracking! Thank you!

Leuchtturm1917 is the gold standard for journals. Thick pages, high quality bindings, bookmark, elastic band. If you want a great journal, I highly recommend them, as do many.
They are worth the extra dollars.

I started a hobby journal as a way to easily see paint comparison but was curious to see how other people use one. Super helpful and gave me some solid ideas on how to use my journal

I saw one of these journals recently and thought it was cool. I guess I'll be picking one up now

I love the detail tracking ideas. I currently use a program called Obsidian to track all my projects. You can make page and snippet templates, along with standard formatting, bullets, picture inserts, you name it.
So far I've only been making two lists, a current todo that simply lets me check off what I am or am not working on from my piles. And my main projects page which has every project then subcategories on how I'll prime and basecoat, along with any links to tutorials (like yours!) images, and paints...pretty much all the research I do on a model or a set of models. It's pretty neat because the heading system lets you collapse and organize very easily.
In my projects list everything is organized by faction or game, then unit type, then sometimes individual units if they're character models. I also have a snippet template that I can fill out, (like your stickers) so I don't have to keep remembering how I organized my key information. My todo list is ordered by how I work. There's a heading for priming, one for basecoating, one for on-deck which is just ready to paint, and then I have a backbench where its all stuff that's waiting for my attention.
Thanks again paintman for all the great ideas. I love that swatch idea and I'm thinking I can create some and then take pictures to embed digitally and the originals can go in my art file for reference. 🤜🤛

Forgetting the colours and mixes is the bane of my existence for projects. I never think to write down my formulas because my brain is all "I won't need to come back to this formula, I'm sure I can just remember it."
    I do not remember it.

I went out and picked up a mixed media notebook from the local Walmart for my painting journal. I figured it would stand up to the paint nicely, and gives me a lot of room for notes. One thing I plan to do is to sketch the model I am painting so I can identify on paper where I want the highlights to go before trying to paint them on the model since I really struggle with highlight placement, and how big of a value shift to make when putting on highlights.
Now to figure out what colors of artist paints I should pick up for a decently versatile set so I can stop relying on Army Painter and Vallejo to mix my colors for me.

Yep, pretty much a larger version of what I did in the book on a canvas and with all the Scale Artist paints.

I have put some printout sheets in my discord. But you'd have to provide the sticker paper and printer yourself. I'll throw them in a Google drive too a bit later and link em here in case you're not interested in discord.
