This is the foundation of miniature painting right here.

The stealing from jerseys is an incredible idea.

I think that this is the first time the Coyotes have won anything. Great video though!

C'Mon! I didn't want to like the Space Dwarves, but I can already feel you turning that.

The “3 Colors” rule was the minimum painting requirement for GW sponsored tournaments (3 Colors and Up, specifically) back in the days of 4th to 5th edition Warhammer 40K.

Ah, the old 3-Minimum rule. Primary, secondary, and typically the third is weaponry.
Long story short- it's to prevent mix-ups. At a tourney, visual clarity's the most important thing for a judge to have when they're going from table to table. If both armies are unpainted during a mirror-match, the Judge is going to have a harder time of it.
Or at least, that's how it was back when I did the tourney scene, during late 4th-early 6th. There were a good deal of grey board then, too, looking back. Brown base rims were in vogue.

      "Were" in vogue?

@@stevovondivo2326 Mhm, the evolution of the base rim is a surprisingly interesting thing. My personal favourite's still the late-90s-early 00s gimmick of "Give the model a nice base, but keep the rim green."
That eventually turned into brown rims, and at some point during the early 10s it became black rims.

Very interesting! When I started a few years ago I was doing black rims for sci-fi and brown rims for fantasy. I think they're both good.

Oof! Can't wait for the next video!! That's very close to exact same color scheme I'm giving my dwarves! (except mine don't look as vibrant - something I wish they did)
