I have a giant Fuerte tree. I had great luck this year spraying with honey water. Make sure you don’t water an avocado at its trunk..water the drip line and fertilize often. The fruit is like butter. I pick mine starting in January. I would agree use a grafted tree. My friend has one from a seed and the avocados just don’t ripen. I also have drip with lots of mulch. My tree is over 25 feet tall.

does Avocado have a self pollinating variety? great video by the way and you have great helpers.

All avocadoes should produce w/out additional trees for pollination. The only challenge is that the amount of fruit will be less. You can pollinate by hand, and I'll put a video together on this topic.
