I think that the English version doesn't do justice to the meaning of who Jesus is, it says He is "The Word" but if yoh read it in Spanish it says He is "The verb" which us an actionable word, much powerful than other words because denotes "action, creation, etc" I wish I knew Greek because I'm sure there's even more meaning in the words John uses to describe them.

Just a thought because of what he told Moses at the burning bush. God is self-extenting.....He is past/ present and future at one time. ( My opinion)
