I've been under number 2 & 3 on this list for practically all my church life. I dont know, no matter how hard I try, pray and watch great preaching such as this to think differently. It's one of the most difficult battle of my mind that I've ever dealt with. Frankly, its torturous to think that I will do something to mess up the free gift given to me and God will say depart from me.... I want to be free of this!
Dear Pastor, I just wanted to take the time to say that I am one of those individuals who struggled with my "unworthiness" throughout my Christian life (I was taught you could LOSE your salvation!) - and it was YOU who has shown me through several Bible-focused lessons that whereas I AM indeed unworthy, that has no bearing on what God provided for me in making me eternally His own. Amen!!!! I am SO grateful for getting that weight off my soul, and I pray often for Christian brothers and sisters who also wrestle with that thinking. Thank God for using you!
Hallelujah!! I think everybody goes thru this doubt of losing salvation but it clicked with me when somebody said, “If you can lose your salvation, you will!” The light bulb kinda turned on for me there haha
Amen thank you jesus, your teaching comes up on my phone, and it always confirmed something in me or my family and I know that's God speaking his words through you for us , people or hungry for the truth of God words, blessings 🙏❤
Found you here on youtube last year, and LOVE your teachings! I wish i lived in your city/state so that I could attend your church! Thank you for all your teachings!!! :)
I am so happy I found pastor Paul online many years ago! 😊 I thank God for my church pastor and my online pastor too. Pastor Paul has helped me grow in my walk with Jesus and I appreciate his teachings so much. Thankyou pastor Paul. ❤️🇨🇦
Thank you So much for this important and so powerful message. I am blessed with this message which helps me to bring corrections as a sincere Christian....May God Almighty continue to bless you and your Ministry 🙏🙌.
This sermons really encourage me spiritually. I needed this so much. Lord I choose to trust you even-though I messed up but you still love me. Thank you for your undying love. Help me to keep my eyes on the Cross. Thank you Pastor Paul.
I stumbled across your ministry postings a week ago after listening to my pastoral’s Dwell of the New Testament. I’ve been listening to a sermon each week day morning. Being inside most of the day isn’t so bad!😊 As a Christ follower I so enjoy your well studied time in The Word, it’s very evident through your teachings. Thank you & please don’t stop.
Yep..... been there done all 7 and more.... nothing to be proud of I know but as you pointed out ....... I have heard HIS voice and how sweet it is. Great teaching Pastor and may the LORD bless you for sharing it. Gilly wife of Mark
Pastor Paul I do believe we saved by grace and it's not our own doing, what I don't get is when it's said we don't have to do anything after being saved..don't we have to change our ways? Do away with our bad habits and I thought it mean input on our side aswell?
Hey Shattie KG, thought I might try to help you understand this. Here goes: The operative part is DON’T HAVE TO. This doesn’t mean we shouldn’t or won’t change; it means that God’s love (and our salvation) is not dependent upon our works. Doing something is works. We will change, by HIS indwelling. Not by our works. That said, let’s move on to the oft heard/quoted phrase, “A tree is known by its fruit,” which too many interpret as a Believer will be known by his works. Those two ideas are not synonymous either. Think of it this way: trees, by their very nature, produce fruit (seed holders, if you will) BECAUSE of what kind of tree they are. Each tree can only produce a specific kind of fruit. The fruit is the seed holder. If a tree (species) doesn’t produce seed, the species won’t survive. [This parable is simplistic in nature, as there are male and female trees. But no amount of pollen will produce anything unless there is a seed. And seed is a metaphor for Jesus/The Word that runs through the Bible from Genesis onward.] So, back to trees and their fruit… Like I said, a tree is known by its fruit. A cherry tree cannot produce apples. A pecan tree cannot produce peaches. But, a tree produces its fruit by virtue of being a tree. The TYPE of tree dictates the TYPE of fruit. It’s a natural progression. So, do Believers produce/“do something”? Yes, of course! That’s what trees/people do. Their kind/essence dictates the produce. Once we are saved, we are indwelled with the Holy Spirit; it is HIS essence that then dictates our kind (who we are and what we do). Just as a cherry tree will always produce cherries, a Spirit filled Believer will produce after His kind. It’s no longer, what “we” do, but what the Spirit does through us. Now, is human behavior as easy to recognize/identify as a cherry? No, lol. And I think that’s where the promise from the book of Romans helps us understand- or is best understood, if you will. The whole book, the whole eighth chapter, is about the phenomenon of believing God and being born again. Verse 28 speaks to the fruit/behavior of a Believer: “And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” It’s all God’s fruit. Can a Believer sin? Yes; because we are living in a fallen world and although we speak of HAVING BEEN saved, that verb actually speaks of a continuous action. Our salvation is best viewed as ongoing because we are still human by nature. We have been saved from the penalty of sin (death) and become a new creation. We are being saved from sin (no longer slaves to it) and metamorphosing in these earthly cocoons. And we will be saved from sin (become butterflies/made fully righteous in our glorified bodies) one fine day. Can a Believer continue walking an unrighteous path? No. That would make God a liar. See, after we have been born again/made anew we begin to look like God. Do you recall Jesus’ first miracle? He made the most excellent wine from ordinary water. He’s doing the same in us. We ARE those jars of clay! Once Jesus changed the water into wine, it would never be water again- even though there was still water in the jars, He had added to it-changing it forever. Just like He has done in us. To Him be all glory, forever! May God bless you and keep you, Shattie KG. Shalom.❤❤❤
Unfortunately, you're the one who is in error because you don't understand how Bibles are translated or original language manuscripts. You assume that because "and fasting" is included in your Bible that those that leave it out are automatically "taking away from God's Word" or "twisting the Word." The problem is you've never really looked into this issue or tried to understand WHY some words appear in some translations and not in others. Do you know which Greek manuscripts the ESV Bible used when translating the Word? Do you know which manuscripts the New King James used? Do you understand the difference? I sincerely encourage you to research and discover WHY some words appear and some words do not, because the issue has NOTHING TO DO with twisting or taking away from God's Word.
@@PastorPaulLeBoutillier I stand corrected. You didn't take away from HIS Word but the translator sure did. That's a big difference for a translation. I have listened to your sermons through the entire book of Genesis and never noticed such a difference in translation. I use King James. Imagine people praying and nothing happening because they didn't fast as well. That's all I'm saying. I do apologize. There are so many false teachers sorry I jumped the gun. I grew up Catholic so you should understand kinda been lied to lol
I have prayed for my daughter to know Jesus as her Lord and Savior for 16 years and know Jesus wants her too and though I may never see it, I know God is going to bring her to Himself Thank you In Jesus name for answering my prayers.
My son is in the Navy and listens and shares your messages. He has been so blessed by your teachings. Praise God you are our answer to prayer. Thank you for your faithfulness in leading the sheep. 🙏❤️
I came across this channel early on in my walk with the Lord and I have learned so much from your teachings! Thank you Pastor Paul. This message has blessed me in so many ways. I needed this ❤️
I started listening to Pastor Paul at the beginning of Covid. I wanted to read and comprehend the entire Bible and I listened to him throughout and it helped me immensely. It was a wonderful experience…thank you Pastor Paul.
Since you are actively paying attention to youtube, Maybe you should make some 2 to 5 min videos explaining topics that new believers have questions about. It would help this channel grow which in turn will bring more people to God.
Thank you for always explaining the Bible in ways I can truly understand. I Thank God for you. I pray He blesses you and gives you the Grace to keep teaching In Jesus mighty name. Amen.
Thank you for availing yourself to teach the word of God Pastor Paul. I watch your teachings from time to time and especially love how you dig into the history behind the scriptures. However, as it relates to Mark 9:28-29, why wasn't "fasting" included in your quotation? "And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting. I know we use different Bible versions from time to time but being a Christian and now being apart of a deliverance ministry, it's even more vital to couple prayer and fasting. Therefore, I am not so keen on Bible versions that eliminate things such as fasting. Awaiting your take on this Pastor. Be blessed and thank you again.
Yes,because when you give your life to God,you can't live the same way as you did before,He changes your heart so that you live for Him and do His will in Love through the spirit.Believing in God is a relationship and all relationship takes work. The fruits of the spirit is a result and proof to others of your faith,if you aren't producing anything,it means something is taking the place of God in your heart and you are delaying God's call for your life, this is why we must gaurd our hearts (Proverbs 4:23) by living for God in the spirit, for He gave us free will, when we are saved,we allighn our will with His,ultimately obeying Him and it ultimately leads to us knowing God's heart and not sinning anymore(Phillipians 3:12-14).We will reach that level, but it is a journy which takes time (which is not to be rushed or delayed). You start to WANT to do his will, and that is where it all begins .Be humble, keep learning from and correct your mistakes❤
Very nice teaching Pastor Paul. Thank you. I have a question though, if we do not need to work in order to keep our salvation, how then did the Bible instruct us to work out our salvation with fear and trembling?
I love such a humble statement to say, "I don't really know how prayer works." That's so true by many of us. It's such a mysterious and wonderful work that we have the opportunity to participate in. Knowing what scripture says and teaches on prayer doesn't necessarily always translate our full comprehension of it. In my own opinion, this falls under the verse which talks about how we see now dimly, or as though through dark glass (paraphrasing)... I can't wait to see clearly all the wonderful truths of God's word, once we are like him and see things as they are (without flesh blocking and dulling our senses and knowledge). God Bless!
Listening from Massachusetts, thank you for teaching the Truth of God's Holy Word. Praying for this Ministry! You're refreshing and so encouraging! Thank you! ✝️❤️🙏
I’m always encouraging my daughter to seek the Lord because my advice could be wrong and not what God is working in her life. He can do the impossible 🙏
I love that you said there is a personal revival happening around the world. Thank you from New Zealand. My husband and I (who have just reconcilled) are loving your teaching on The Book of Revelation. It's like having a door closed thru lack of understanding and being given the key!! You are a gifted teacher of God's Word, so glad we found this You Tube Chanel.
Peace does not come from knowing, but from trusting. Man, this hit me hard. Been struggling with this irrational fear that I don't believe in Jesus enough when I know I naturally do, I overthink and am worried because how can I know for sure. Thanks a bunch for that. Trying to be the best Christian that Jesus called me to be.
Thank you so much, Pastor Paul! This has been incredibly helpful to see that other people wrestle with the same questions I have. Also, a couple years ago I wrote to you about the teaching of saved by grace, kept by works. You answered me. Thank you!
Thank you Paul for your love of the GOSPEL I hear Alexander Scourby read the bible Then I hear you break it down Or I study with my brothers in our congregation and then I get home and continue the study with your videos and I understand it more Thank you again brother 🕊️❤️
1 Timonthy 4:1-2 The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. 2 Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. Matthew 7:13-14 Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. Matthew 7:21-23 Not everyone who says to me, “Lord, Lord,” will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, “Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?” 23 Then I will tell them plainly, “I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers! Do look into these my brothers and sisters in Christ.
Hi Pastor Paul - in your statement on prayer you talk about spending time in communion with God. I understood communion as the breaking of the bread and drinking of wine as a way to remember Christs gift of himself to us. The way you said it leads me to believe you were meaning something different/ more. Would you be able to clarify, please? 😊
Im a teacher and im in my room alone working alot of the time! Your sermons have been so helpful. Something informative and humbling. My walk with Christ is so much stronger. Amen!!🙏
Thank you Pastor Paul, yes I’ve made everyone of these mistakes ! Thank you for reminding me that he is a faithful loving father who loves me , forgives me and is for me . Blessed indeed .
Pastor the main thing I feel you didn't say is that Jesus mentioned Fasting with prayer. Because that was and is very important. May prayers can be answered by prayer alone. But if we fast without telling others we are demonstrating self denial and showing God that we are willing to sacrifice for this prayer to be answered. It also is different for everyone, some fast from dinner one day to dinner the next.. A diabetic may fast by eating something they hate and is cheap twice a day. Others may fast by giving up other things. But whatever we do it should be done in humility and love without outward appearance. We shouldn't bemoan what we are giving up. I am still working out what this looks like for me also.
Pastor Paul Am fun of your teachings Kindly advise, when we do fasting we deny the flesh don't you think is the same way we should work to resist sin Please teach more
Pastor Paul , what a beautiful morning you made this by your teaching ( explaining ) the word of GOD . Once again . Wally from Michigan . P. S . praying all day long !
I thank God for your teachings, Pastor Paul. This message really means a lot to me. Been struggling all these years with it myself. Oh, what a wonderful Savior we have. He is faithful even though we are not.
6:50 you mentioned Mark 9:28-29 when Jesus said “This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and FASTING.” Why was the word changed to remove fasting? Is fasting in the original Greek manuscripts?
Pastor Paul has talked about this in a previous Q&A that you can find here: ruclips.net/video/VHd5w1J4v9g/видео.htmlfeature=shared&t=618 This is starting at 10:18 to approximately 17:42 We hope this helps answer your question.
Pastor Paul believes very strongly in our assurance of salvation but he also strongly believes that the statement "once saved, always saved" is misleading. He has written about this issue on his blog. ccontario.com/blog
Pastor Paul didn't say that God can't use an audible voice. Instead he was speaking about people's expectations. Some people feel that if God doesn't speak to them audibly, He hasn't spoken at all.
I've been under number 2 & 3 on this list for practically all my church life. I dont know, no matter how hard I try, pray and watch great preaching such as this to think differently.

Ave seen alot of people getting saved several times. They either went wrong or sinned or back slide. What is your advice
Thank you for the another great service. Hey pastor Paul I don't think Mistake #7 Asking God "Why?" He allowed something can be a mistake.

Why did you omit "and fasting" from your quote of Mark 9:29?
Pastor Paul is reading from the ESV Bible. He will do a Q&A very soon to answer questions of differences in translations.
I could of swore the verse said "prayer AND fasting"🤔
different translation, Pastor Paul was using ESV

The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. 2 Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron.
Matthew 7:13-14
Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
Matthew 7:21-23
Not everyone who says to me, “Lord, Lord,” will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

Jim if you can introduce yourself to your pastor. God is no respecter of persons he Loves us all equally. If you want to.
Communion (noun)
1. the sharing or exchanging of intimate thoughts and feelings, especially when the exchange is on a mental or spiritual level.

Im a teacher and im in my room alone working alot of the time! Your sermons have been so helpful. Something informative and humbling. My walk with Christ is so much stronger. Amen!!🙏
I enjoy Pastor Paul's traching from the Bible, bevause he never triex to teach weird doctrines. And he does not scream into the micrphone.
Thank you Pastor Paul, yes I’ve made everyone of these mistakes ! Thank you for reminding me that he is a faithful loving father who loves me , forgives me and is for me . Blessed indeed .
Awesome message brother
No, the Holy Spirit keeps us from sinning. And help us to be Obedient to God. The Bible talks about the children of disobedience, and God's wrath
Pastor Paul
Am fun of your teachings
Kindly advise, when we do fasting we deny the flesh don't you think is the same way we should work to resist sin
Please teach more

Thank you Pastor Paul for everything! How do we contact you 😞
I thank God for your teachings, Pastor Paul.
Different Bible translations are based on different Greek manuscripts. Those that the ESV translators used did NOT include the word "fasting."
Beautiful message. Thank you so much Pastor Paul.
The finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross is our all in all.
The KJV reads; "Prayer and Fasting". why does the ESV leave out "Fasting"?
Pastor Paul has talked about this in a previous Q&A that you can find here:
ruclips.net/video/VHd5w1J4v9g/видео.htmlfeature=shared&t=618
This is starting at 10:18 to approximately 17:42
We hope this helps answer your question.
Amen praise the Lord
Whats intriguing me is the Mistake number 2.
Is this the idea of once saved always saved?
Pastor Paul believes very strongly in our assurance of salvation but he also strongly believes that the statement "once saved, always saved" is misleading. He has written about this issue on his blog. ccontario.com/blog
You need to pray about that, since God can use an Audible Voice , especially at an emergency
Pastor Paul didn't say that God can't use an audible voice. Instead he was speaking about people's expectations. Some people feel that if God doesn't speak to them audibly, He hasn't spoken at all.
The NKJV says prayer and fasting ?
