Ferrari don’t make slow cars, so when it produces it’s fastest-ever road car you have to sit up and listen. We headed to Fiorano to drive the SF90 XX - a 1,000bhp+ track-focused monster that combines huge aero with incredible power and standout looks. Is it one of Ferrari’s best? What a car! The way Ferrari keeps improving on perfection is absolutely incredible. The SF90 Stradale was already a mindblowing machine and Ferrari still manages to make it even faster and more extreme. Love it!
The amount of pitch and roll and yaw is remarkable.
The climb of revs in higher gears sounds almost linear, which is never seen in a road car. Ferrari just goes from victory to victory in its new street/comp models. Since LaFerrari, the advances never cease to amaze.
This is art, for this Ferrari is unique

Regardless of whether it is substantially better than an SF90 (or any other Ferrari), Ferrari will have no trouble selling it to those multimillionaire/billionaires, who have to have the latest, fastest, most extreme supercar on the road. Looks great, sounds great, goes ballistic; forza Ferrai!

This isn't a car. It's a rocket. Only professional racing drivers would be able to extract the full performance from such a track focused XX Ferrari. Too bad most of the owners will probably never take this amazing machine to its limits.

Beautiful car!! I just never understood the philosophy behind the gear shifter arms fixed to the column instead of the moving with the wheel.
My guess is because makes easier to reach and press the right shift when needing corrections or doing sharp corners. You won't find yourself confused during situations like these. And I guess it gives you a better felling overall.

It's just one way to do it. But with the length of the paddles, it works very well.
Ferrari thought "hmmm, if we reduce it by 30kg, add 10hp, bolt on a few bits and make it road legal, we can sell 1300 units and convince customers this is the worth the upgrade from the regular SF90"... It's twice the price as an SF90 for 1.7 seconds faster than a regular SF90. I think this is Ferrari focusing more on their bank balance rather than providing the ultimate track car.
You have to think of this car like you think of the Porsche GT3 RS ,this Is a Street track car with even the fixed Wing,i would love to see It on the Ring

It just lacks a certain je ne sais quoi...the design? Would have to see it in the carbon/metal, before concluding but it seems too cartoonish/toy like to these eyes and the V8 still lacks the classic shriek...Not for me either. Great and honest review.

Let me tell you why it's called XX, and this is directly from Ferrari.
It is called XX, not FXX, because ti borrows a lot of tech developed in the FXX programme. During the launch, Ferrari made this very clear, and about 15 minutes were spent explaining the difference between an FXX car and why this was XX and not FXX. Ferrari has never tried to market it to actual XX clients as anything else than a VS car which has borrowed tech from FXX.

One other thing also worth mentioning which Ferrari also explained, was that it is not eligible for the FXX events. So also in this regard, Ferrari was upfront about what it is and is not.
Not entirely sure why some motoring journalists and vloggers are so fixated on the XX suffix when they are so off. But I’m guessing they need something, a bit of gossip, to talk about…
You wouldn't have it above other Ferraris, you'd have it as well as, because it's the only one that can do what it does, therefore that question was a bit pointless. Let's face it, you'll have at least a couple of other Fezzas in your garage anyway!

No. But there will be a 296 VS. What they will call it, nobody knows.
I’ve been lucky enough to experience the 599 XX as a passenger on a track, albeit a smaller track where the 599 XX couldn’t fully stretch its legs, and I am here to tell you that this SF90XX should by no means carry that same nomenclature.
A shame to see from Ferrari.
What Ferraris do you own, and have you actually driven any FXX? If none, you are in no way in a position to state what you state as a fact.
Furthermore, there's something you are clearly not aware of. Ferrari never marketed this as part of the FXX fleet. It is called XX, not FXX because a lot of the tech is borrowed from the FXX programme. The whole idea of this being a car that is in some way part of the FXX programme, is cooked up mainly by journalists who need something to talk about. At the launch in Maranello of the XX, when the car was presented to the audience, Ferrari made it clear in no uncertain terms why it was called XX.
And lastly, speaking of the 599. Ferrari has for years used names and suffixes as they see fit. Is the 599 GTO a GTO? No, not even close. Like the SF 90 XX it's a VS car. Is the 458 Speciale a prototype race car? Nope.
So, you got a spin in a 599FXX on a small track. Here's what I can tell you for sure. With what you describe. You have no idea what the 599FXX is capable of - and you have an idea what the SF90 XX is capable of. You haven't even been behind the wheel of either the SF90 XX or the FXX cars.
I have driven several Challenge cars, Ferrari GT3 cars, and the FXX, FXX-K and 599FXX. I don't expect the SF90 XX to be like those, and thank god for that. You know why? The SF90 XX is a road car. If it was an actual FXX car, it would be useless and pointless.
C'mon. Ferrari could have taken more time to build a NA V8/V12 with higher HP for XX edition cars atleast.

The FXX-K Evo and future cars of that type, is what populate the FXX programme.
Then there's Challenge, GT3 and GTE cars if we look at Ferrari race cars in general.
Reality is that all those who say the XX should not be road legal, don't even know what it is and why it is called XX, and not FXX.

quick question. If Ferrari or any other manufacturers say they will limit the number of cars they will build to 1200 cars. do they manufacture 1210 cars . 10 cars that will be used by Journalists and the media. Or is it strictly the amount they say they are building. I personally if i had the money wouldn't want to buy a car that has been trashed by 15 journalists . Id love to know
Any press car falls within the number of cars produced.
Those can sometimes be sold as demo cars, but more often than not, they return to be used as test mules.
If its not the best what is? I think the Pista is a far better road/performance car, and I have both SF90 and Pista.

You are comparing a car that has no race specific limits, weighs 350 kg less, and has more power, to this. Never mind the fact that the FXX-K is on actual slicks.
Look at how much faster this is compared to both the LaF and SF90 Assetto car. That should tell you everything you need to know about how much of a step forward this is.

On straight line it is slower than regular SF90 because of more downforce.

On a short distance, a 1/4 mile, the XX is faster. Run it for a ½ mile, and the regular car is probably faster. Run them past 210 mph, and obviously the regular car is faster.

100kg is worth 50hp! So this xx is over 300kg heavier than a 765lt! The lt has 765 wheel hp so thats around 850hp at crank then 150hp from weight savings is 1000hp! A 765lt will eat this on a track! Sorry if your a ferarri fan but McLaren build supercars the right light way! This is a heavy brick! Ask gordan murry!

These cars are "bought" as Trophies & Status ... the invitation to get one is itself a status trophy... everything else is irrelevant. I would be very surprised if any of the invitees has ever or will ever watch a RUclips review of this car prior (or even after...) to its purchase...and my guess is that they are and they were all sold out way before being released onto the market ...

Ferrari never said it was. You might want to think about this. Has the whole thing about this being an FXX car been presented by Ferrari, or is it presented by journalists? It's the latter, just to make it easy for you.
The XX, not FXX, is named XX because it borrows a lot of tech from the FXX programme. What all these vloggers and journo clowns don't know, or fail to mention, is that during the actual launch in Maranello, which was mainly populated by people with an allocation, Ferrari made it very clear and told us in no uncertain terms why it was called XX. It was made equally clear that it was not an FXX car. So the whole premise that they would try to sell the car as an XX, is asinine. They literally spent about 15 minutes talking about the differences, and why it should not be mistaken for an FXX car.

First of, NO FXX car is homologated for ANYTHING. They are a series of development race cars. In fact, they are quite different from many other race cars. They are not homologated and legal to use in any kind of actual race series outside of the FXX programme.
Secondly, and I have no idea how you ever got that idea. The SF90 XXx is not in any way considered part of the FXX programme. It is not eligible to participate in any kind of FXX event or race.
You may not like that they called it XX, but you cannot add to this to justify your stance. You need to stick to the facts.
Just to clear up any confusion or misinformation here, the Ferrari SF90 XX Stradale is - as the name would suggest - an XX model!

As expected, the intent of this car was entirely missed in the review. This is a REWARD to those of us who have been exceptionally good clients and own multiple Ferrari’s…including a requirement to have a current SF90, to be held until taking delivery of our XX’s. By all accounts it’s an insane track weapon. But, it’s also a thank you to those of us with collections, seeking to add yet another phenomenal, limited edition thoroughbred to the stable.
Not very limited though, is it? Nearly 1,400 examples will be made. 😬😬

This is the fastest and quickest Ferrari made to date, in an era where petrol engines are dying. If you gave me $1M in exchange for me giving you back $2M…would you do it? Buyers of this car are being given the extremely rare opportunity to do just that. This car isn’t meant for the average buyer who can walk in and purchase a Revuelto. Rather, it’s for those hand-picked by Ferrari because they have the highest level of customer status within the brand. That is the essence of this car and any other Versione Speciale Ferrari makes. It just so happens to be among the fastest cars the world has ever seen. More importantly, the SF90 is a phenomenal driver. It’s not brash or uncivilized. Granted, it doesn’t have any storage. But, if it did, this car is comfortable enough for a long drive…even in the $150K race seats🤓. This is a collectors car, made available exclusively to the most loyal buyers, in the same way a GT3RS is. Neither will be regularly thrashed about on a circuit. The difference is this is a Ferrari…and even more rare. An Apple Watch has more features to offer than any Patek. But, the rare Patek’s are available only to VIP collectors, who aren’t wearing watches to tell time…
