I only found your videos today and this is the second I have watched - spellbound. I am almost speechless at your building and flying skills. Your planes are works of art and they fly so realistically, I could watch them all day then go to bed very happy. Thank you for all your effort.
Nice! Thanks for sharing. Maybe I'll have to find a warehouse around here to rent out. When the weather's -10 degrees Fahrenheit, I'd REALLY like it, since I'm crazy enough to go and fly when it's bad like that... Merry Christmas!
@Einhander49 The hangar was originally for B-29s, but the City bought it for use as a community center. It is not on the airport. A little south east of the airport on Columbia, or business I27. It is called the Ollie Liner Center. Most fliers come from out-of-town for the events 3 or 4 times a year. The next one is in March or April.
The video is not very clear, are you coordinating rudder and ailerons in your turns same as the B-17 ? Anyway awesome inspiring job.. Hats off and Hello from Beirut..
I've been living here in Plainview for the past ten years, and I'm just now finding out about these places, lol. Is this hangar in the airport, or somewhere else? Also, is there anyone else here in Plainview that fly R/C models, too?
I suppose RC groups has decided to hide most of the big bird builds. I just cannot find them. Has to be a build thread in there somewhere. I finally did find the B-17 build out of BluCore www.rcgroups.com/forums/thumbgallery.php?t=937243&do=threadgallery

outstanding flght realism!!
perfect power/weight/ wing area ratio
Your building is amazing! My wife would really never see me if I had a building like that!
We rent it 3 or 4 times every year. Loads of fun!
Do you mind sharing how much you have to give, and for what period of time?
Brian Phillips $300/day of 14 hours.

That might be a big hanger, but thats also a big plane. Very impressed!
We should all have an airfield like that.
Very nice airplane and flying - looks fun.
+CrossThread Aero Industries We are lucky to be able to rent this place 3 or four times per year.

@scotsoft29 Glad you like it; thanks for the comments. Hope your arthritis is better. Gary
Using aileron and rudder simultaneously; I hope they are coordinated. The B-17 is not mine, but Reegan May has let me fly it. Thanks! Gary

How cool is that..... :)
The building was a hangar, but being used as a community center. No full-scale planes within a mile.

@scalercphlyer There are some photos of the build on RC Groups (dot com). Search for "10-foot C-47". Also some details at "8-foot B-17".
Smooth

I realize this is an older video, but does he have a build video of this?
I did no build video, but process was similar to friend's 8-foot B-17 indoors video. Look on rcgroups dot com in foamies for it.

what is the wing profile that you used?
It is a 15% flat-bottom with the high point at 30% chord.
