I admired her, even more, when she said that her first language was the beach, the amulets.. the things we first observed when we were a child. Beautiful Michele!
To see a beautiful woman, whose aged and yet retained her child-like wonder for the world... that magic she speaks of, in hope people do find it in them sometimes.
NOWNESS is pure brilliance. The cinematography and music are always on point! This woman and her space are lovely. She looks content and her space feels well lived and loved.
I've never heard of this artist until now and suddenly I have a new love. Everything about this Lady (in the true sense of the word), is grace personified. In a time when the world is closing in around us, I would love to see life through her eyes. What ever happened to that bit of 'magic' I used to keep in my pocket....
Fascinating woman and her 'space'.................... Thought provoking and 'true life' affirming................. there be 'magic here'.......... for those with eyes to see and hearts to feel................................ Thank you Enjoy!
I have been obsessed with her and her work lately, so I am extremely happy that you did this video. In resident is my favorite series, I’m going to hundred again it again
Absolutely stunning! It's so organic, rich in bringing the earth and its elements inside,,the rooms feel alive with nuances of what once lived! Art is a form of expression, this house is expressing itself,,,,,,,,,🤲
@@jodawgsup Yes, like the tiny house alternative off-grid channel were people live in a 1200 ft sq. house in Malibu California that costs 5 million dollars. They all believe they somehow "rejected" mainstream consumerism, but love the conspicuous consumption of showing off their toys and stuff. This channel is "I live in a modest humble 10,000 sq. foot castle in London, or a 800 year old marble cathedral in Rome, and I'm not materialistic, just a normal person with my own style." Some of them are beautiful but the pretentiousness and ostentatiousness makes me nauseous. I still watch it though, I like looking at people homes, even if it's an episode of Hoarders. Although - technically - this is a variation on Hoarders.
@@tranzco1173 Very true, especially "They all believe they somehow "rejected" mainstream consumerism, but love the conspicuous consumption of showing off their toys and stuff" this bit.
Yeah it totally reminds me of that but apparently Ghost was filmed in a studio but this might as well be the flat used as an inspiration to design that space.
I usually hate the use of greek columns because its tacky on mcmansions and in poor taste but its appropriately done in her apartment. Looks lovely inside.
These are probably original cast iron columns in the loft. They were (still are ) supporting columns in the buildings (in Soho/Chelsea/lower Fifth Avenue neighborhoods in NYC) that were used for commercial/manufacturing purposes and needed high ceilings and large open floor spaces. They are not just ornamental - they have a very important purpose.
love the series absolutely stunning quality but sorry to say it there is only one thing I cannot stand and that is the enormous amount of pretentious drama
I like her place and what she says, but I dont like the bird skulls. To have anothers skull, even if its a bird... and many of them.. it freaks me out. I cant relate to that part.

A childlike sense of newness and wonder is a valuable quality to carry through life.

one of the most inspiring home interviews
i’ve seen.
supreme.
aaaaah i love how she speaks, from the heart, from the soul. I admire her
So beautiful and tender to the senses.
It left me wondering what the house smelled of...

Marvelous. Like I’m listening to my soul speak as another person or a master teacher singing a beautiful lesson. Truly lovely.
What a sweet lady in an incredibile house! And the music You choose... I like to think that the house itself chose its own soundtrack...
....NO SE PUEDE TENER MAS SENSIBILIDAD.....ES INSUPERABLE...MICHEL OKA...TRASMITE PAZ Y SABIDURIA...UN SALUDO INFINITO DESDE ESPAÑA
You have preserved the magical child who always finds the beauty and wonder of found objects.
I love how she said English was not her first language but the natural sounds that children get to know and she carried that well into adulthood.
This video is so beautiful, it makes me want to cry.

Debussy in the background is all love.... and apparently his studio served as the movie set for "Ghost" .... just wow
This is so beautiful it’s making me cry
*THIS.THIS IS WHAT I CALL RICH. NOT SOME TEENS WASTING STUFF ON EXPENSIVE BRANDS THAT DOESN'T MAKES SENSE*
Dude stop shouting, I'm right next to you.
"I never feel confined when I'm here": Lives in 20,000sq. ft. Church like structure with floor to ceiling windows and 40 ft. ceilings.

she is beautiful and full of grace
I could listen to her speak all day and night
Love Michele's words, magical stuff for an artist to hear ;)
Her space is beautiful. I personally wouldn't care for the skull collection but, I know my daughter would adore it.
I really like this In Residnece series. I hope you continue to produce this ♥️
Always looking forward to these posts! Her home is splendid!
I wish you showed her kitchen! The coolest part of her home that she designed!
My home is full of natural objects too and I absolutely love the comfort of my cave. ❤

Looks like the same loft GHOST (1989) was filmed in ♥️

@@Starkardur see the remarks above!
It was filmed here!!! :)
stunning home... love it... this apartment, the roomy spaces remind me of the apartment of Demi moore in film Ghost..
it is the apartment from Ghost
claire de lune was very moving, and with the arts featured. just wow
She and her home are so interesting.
She is a poet
Such an interesting space.
Both she and the flat are very interesting and very beautiful .

aww debussy sweet voice and tree bark artworks so beautiful ㅠㅠ 예뻐
Life is there to be experienced.
Exquisite.
I enjoy all these videos, but I wish the music was not so loud. It always makes it hard to hear the speaker.
Heavenly 😭❤️

Isn’t this the same loft apartment featured in the film Ghost?
Looks like the apartment where the movie GHOST was filmed.
They built a replica of this loft to film Ghost
💙💙
"I never feel confined here..." [in my kazillion feet apartment]. God!
The editor here skipped some bars of Claire de Lune, argh. (at 1:10)

Is that the succession "Shiv" Roy home?
Is this the apartment in the movie Ghost?
Her loft/apartment looks similar to the movie"ghost" specially the staircase.
omg georgous.................
Would not mind living in a “cave” like that

The moral here is HAVE MONEY
Majority of the homes of those who have money are relatively tasteless and soulless.
The moral here is do what resonates with you.
