This is EXACTLY what my ex is doing. Broke up 4.5 months ago, 4 months NC. She reached out after 29 days saying basically “i miss you so much and not talking to you is so tough but sorry i’m not ready”. I told her that’s fine, that being friends is not good enough for me, and she can let me know if she changes her mind. 65 days later she reached out again with the “i can’t stop thinking about you” messages, so i asked her if she wanted to get together, cook some dinner, catch up. She turned me down again, saying she was busy and it’s not that she didn’t want to, and that when things get less busy she’d love to. But she didn’t reschedule (but lots of small talk around that). Again, i acted like that’s fine with me, and she told me “you’re in my heart, you know this.” I reiterated that friendship wasn’t good enough for me, and couldn’t she see she was giving me mixed signals? I told her I’m trying to move on with my life and if she ever gets to a place where she wants to genuinely try again, she can message me, and we’ll see where i’m at. She apologised, said that i’m right and it’s not fair, and that “next time i reach out it’ll be for only one reason. I’ll be back soon”. It feels so manipulative - i’m genuinely trying to move on with my life and she keeps getting there to try and stop me from doing that while being unable to commit to me. It feels like the grief process of the breakup just resets every time. It really hurts, but if she does it again, i will tell her that it was amazing knowing her, that i will always cherish her, but that it’s time to part for good, and I hope she has a wonderful life. It’s now been 29 days since she last reached out, and I’m emotionally drained.

I want to hear more about avoidants avoiding wanting you in their lives, but don't want to get attached, because that will make the inevitable abandonment affect us. Like, don't get attached to a puppy if you're not keeping it, and don't name an animal that you have to slaughter. It makes it hard to lose them. They could honestly be doing something else with their time if they wanted to. But if they decide to give time to text you. Then that's a good sign. Cause in my opinion, if someone really doesn't care anymore. Then they would do whatever it takes to get rid of you in their life. Then they wouldn't give any time of day to talk to you at all.

A girl I dated for a couple months reached back out to me after 3 months of NC talking about a yogurt I introduced to her when we dated. I referenced the yogurt and asked how she has been. Okay a important question I have, that not any dating coaches have really addressed is: What if an ex follows us on social media? (1): if our account is public do we follow them back (2): if our account is private do we allow the request or deny it, and do we follow them back

I am moving on from my ex I had to block him from everything. He sent me a friend request on Facebook three days after we ended. I truly am doing it for myself and I have never had the urge to text him and I work with him. He is talking to a new girl three weeks after we dated and Ik he’s sad. I think thats exactly what she is doing. After a month of disappearance sees me add a woman, women liking my posts. Then starts liking my posts. So I reach out and now she ignores me. My ex tried to make me jealous with her rebound on social media and a few months later she contacted my brother. She still has a lot of my clothing. Two pictures of her wearing one of my hoodies (transitional object) still on her social media (three years later!) Blocking and unblocking on social media is a BIG one. Another thing my ex did. It shows that they are wrestling with their emotions and their feelings for you. My ex is VERY rejection sensitive, hence the hesitation in making direct contact.

If somebody could answer my question, I would appreciate it. My ex threw it in my face that she was using Reddit for finding places for a date to go on with somebody. This came up because she was triggered seeing a Reddit notification on my phone. She started it off by playing stupid like “do you what Reddit is?” And I didn’t know what the point of the question was, so I just brushed it off. But she brought it up again and she was like “the reason I bring it up is because bro you can literally ask ANYTHING on there”. To which I responded, “ok, such and such, what kind of questions have you been asking…..? 🙄”. I just felt like she was trying to throw it in my face to see what my reaction would be. Why else would you be triggered and why else would you bring it up twice if you weren’t trying to get to that point? Hi Craig My ex saw me with an ex who she hates but got the complete wrong end of the stick. She saw me with a friend at a table in a bar and assumed that I met up with her when really she just came and said hi. My ex has be blocked on social media and I do stalk her tik tok as she makes videos about me. I think she’s seeing someone else but she still seemed to be angry about me with another girl in a bar as she replied to my friend picture that he posted saying “loooooool” when looking at her tik tok comment section she had a conversation with a friend about the fact that I was with a girl that my ex hates saying that “he wanted another chance with me and then went out with the girl who he told me he’d never get with” she’s completely seen the situation in the wrong light. If Craig or somebody else could give me an opinion of this I would be grateful. My ex broke up with me one week ago. I have made No Contact from day one. Not a single message or anything. Today is his birthday, I haven't congratulated him. We have a mutual friend on FB, I congratulated her, he probably saw that. And now he had unfriended me on FB. Hi Coaches! Last week, I was at an estate sale and my ex girlfriend was there. I had not seen her in two years. It was not a good break up. She did some really nasty things to after we broke up. Since there she has had an off and on boyfriend. To make a long story short, she saw me main in the main living room, When I saw her I casually left to the back yard. She followed me out there, I stayed a minute then left to the garage. She then followed me to the garage. I then left and got in line to pay for some items. She then came over to the line and stood about two feet from me pretending to look at an items on the table. She stood there for about two minutes. I never looked her way, nor did she say anything. Ha, his momma loves me more than he wants me gone. I just got back from a picture perfect trip to Colorado with his momma in a cranberry red Stingray Corvette and his Aunt, Uncle, and Grams took us out to their rent mansion in Estes Park and we got to be obnoxious tourists in the May snow storm! 🤣 His family invited me back and his momma told me I'm her daughter-in-law nevermind he never married me. Odd this video came up as I’m going through my ex playing some type of games I guess. Earlier this year my ex was trying to get me to reach out to her by 1st talking to someone I know and mentioning they had mutual friends knowing that it would get back to me 2nd she unblocked me on fb AGAIN 3rd added a song to my list on spotify. I didn’t budge and still haven’t spoken to her.

I went into NC after she said we were done. The interesting part was I wasn’t begging for her to come back into the relationship but during our conversation she kept trying to instigate the argument saying we’re done multiple times and left me on read when I said “I understand and respect your decision.I love you and hope you can find what makes you happy and if you change your mind you know where to find me. I’m going to focus on my dream.” It’s been two weeks since I’ve heard from her and idk what to do🤷♂️

Okay a important question I have, that not any dating coaches have really addressed is:
What if an ex follows us on social media?
(1): if our account is public do we follow them back
(2): if our account is private do we allow the request or deny it, and do we follow them back

Like, one day my ex is asking to FaceTime, double texting, and flirting w me like crazy… and then 2 days later when I ask if she wants to get lunch, she says she doesn’t think it’s a good idea and that she’s only comfortable with occasionally texting… but then double texts again when I don’t respond to that and continues to look at my insta story every night before she goes to bed.

So my ex dumps me 39 days ago via text. One week before my birthday. So I stated I didn’t want a platonic friendship while leaving the door open. Went no contact. We went on a date two weeks ago. It went very well (so I thought). When I dropped her off she admitted that she kept intentionally putting off me getting the remainder of my stuff. She reached out two more days and then pretty much disappeared!! With the exception of commenting on a few Facebook posts. Which I put no stock into. It’s emotionally painful to me!! It is really difficult. I have continued to leave her alone though.
She wants to get one over on you is all. If someone leaves you they don't deserve you! You fell into the trap of her hurting you it gives her power to pull another fast one on you and she evilishly walks away with more power so she thinks. In reality it will go bad for her at some point for being evil like that. Don't let it happen again. Hopefully she never shows up again so that u never have to deal with her unstable trickery again. Let it go it's not strong minded to be with a weak minded individual who will only bring u down instead of lift u up. She's toxic 🏃♂️ run. And if she does pop up again... ignore her block her. Get your power back.

I am moving on from my ex I had to block him from everything. He sent me a friend request on Facebook three days after we ended. I truly am doing it for myself and I have never had the urge to text him and I work with him. He is talking to a new girl three weeks after we dated and Ik he’s sad. The first two weeks he was and the third week he was happy because of the girl I knew right away. So proud of myself for how I’m doing move on guys most exes don’t truly care unless they show it through their actions. Just focus on you, my ex I found out still has me on snap after a month because I think I blocked him even though he doesn’t watch my stories I know he’s holding on. I think thats exactly what she is doing. After a month of disappearance sees me add a woman, women liking my posts. Then starts liking my posts. So I reach out and now she ignores me. I think she is keeping me at a leash end. In the month and a half we dated she would tell me that men would hit on her but she was with me. I am so angry she played me. I fell in love with her. I am thinking of removing her from my social media and blocking her. Now I am in the angry stage

My ex tried to make me jealous with her rebound on social media and a few months later she contacted my brother. She still has a lot of my clothing. Two pictures of her wearing one of my hoodies (transitional object) still on her social media (three years later!) Blocking and unblocking on social media is a BIG one. Another thing my ex did. It shows that they are wrestling with their emotions and their feelings for you. My ex is VERY rejection sensitive, hence the hesitation in making direct contact.

If somebody could answer my question, I would appreciate it. My ex threw it in my face that she was using Reddit for finding places for a date to go on with somebody. This came up because she was triggered seeing a Reddit notification on my phone. She started it off by playing stupid like “do you what Reddit is?” And I didn’t know what the point of the question was, so I just brushed it off. But she brought it up again and she was like “the reason I bring it up is because bro you can literally ask ANYTHING on there”. To which I responded, “ok, such and such, what kind of questions have you been asking…..? 🙄”. I just felt like she was trying to throw it in my face to see what my reaction would be. Why else would you be triggered and why else would you bring it up twice if you weren’t trying to get to that point?

She saw me with a friend at a table in a bar and assumed that I met up with her when really she just came and said hi. My ex has be blocked on social media and I do stalk her tik tok as she makes videos about me. I think she’s seeing someone else but she still seemed to be angry about me with another girl in a bar as she replied to my friend picture that he posted saying “loooooool” when looking at her tik tok comment section she had a conversation with a friend about the fact that I was with a girl that my ex hates saying that “he wanted another chance with me and then went out with the girl who he told me he’d never get with” she’s completely seen the situation in the wrong light. I want to give things another go and I don’t want her to be angry and hate me. I feel like I should make contact with her to explain things but then she will know I stalk her tik tok. Hi Coaches! Last week, I was at an estate sale and my ex girlfriend was there. I had not seen her in two years. It was not a good break up. She did some really nasty things to after we broke up. Since there she has had an off and on boyfriend. To make a long story short, she saw me main in the main living room, When I saw her I casually left to the back yard. She followed me out there, I stayed a minute then left to the garage. She then followed me to the garage. I then left and got in line to pay for some items. She then came over to the line and stood about two feet from me pretending to look at an items on the table. She stood there for about two minutes. I never looked her way, nor did she say anything. I just got back from a picture perfect trip to Colorado with his momma in a cranberry red Stingray Corvette and his Aunt, Uncle, and Grams took us out to their rent mansion in Estes Park and we got to be obnoxious tourists in the May snow storm! 🤣 His family invited me back and his momma told me I'm her daughter-in-law nevermind he never married me. My ex and I broke up July 15th. I’ve been in no contact for 22 days. He completely ignores me everyday and acts like he doesn’t see me. On Friday, he saw me with another guy. Odd this video came up as I’m going through my ex playing some type of games I guess. She followed and then unfollowed me on social media, she changed her name on Instagram to a kinda subliminal message and consistently views my profile on Facebook. I have not caved and have not reached out to her. She has not directly reached out to me, which is what I will only respond to. All of this has actually lowered her value to me now. Silly.
