FYI, Brenden Rock played in You'll Never Find me, and Steve Oram played in A Dark Song. I was surprised they weren't the same actor. They were both in a similar role too. Mind blown 😅
I agree with your comment about people guessing the ending and then complaining about it being "predictable". There's an extremely underrated thing in fiction called dramatic irony, in which the audience knows something that the characters do not. While I was able to guess what was going on, that didn't take away from the suspense in the slightest because then it became a matter of when are the characters going to discover it as well, and how are they going to react and what will the repercussions be. This movie does an excellent job of keeping the tension high even if you can guess what's really happening.
I loved it. The fantastic sound design helped to elevate this to another level. Which is lost to a degree on shudder with just streaming in Stereo. The creepy atmosphere was fantastic throughout. And all done with one location. That the last part is a little bit "conventional" is forgivable.
Just watched this last night. I mostly liked it except for the third act. It would be interesting to hear your interpretation of the ending in a spoiler review.
There was kind of a cool twist. He struggled with God and instead of killing others he accidentally killed himself. That was one hell of a disturbing laugh at the end.
really loved this one. agreed, even though one part of the reveal becomes quite clear at a point i dont think that that took away from the film at all.
Just watched it. Very Edgar Allen Poe like. Shudder didn't disappoint, and I'm glad you both agree that it was beautifully done. Someone on another channel said the writing was bad. No way.
I enjoyed this movie quite a bit I have 7.1 surround sound and the sound design was killer. Creaking, Thunder creaking lightning sound effects it was all over the place the entire movie. It really heightened the sensation.
Watching now, almost to the end. Saw some negative reviews of the ending . But there are definitely a bit of bread crumbs along the way. Enjoying the ride. Not enough creepy banter and tension these days. I knew it was coming but didn't care. Definitely don't ask for chips and a ride from anyone.
didn't explain anything... !!! he is sleepwalking all the movie, (even the song at the beginning will give a way the plot of the movie) he is a serial killer (first kill his father) his first serial killer kill was THAT GIRL IN THE MOVIE a, and he is releiving all murders during have SLEEPWALK. (main song in the movie)
It’s just odd we see things from her perspective in the trailer. This isn’t a replay of events so it just makes me question if she is trapped there too and has to figure it out for herself
The lead actress was so good. She gave off a sense of innocence with a hint of evil that kept me intrigued.
Absolutely
This is the best allegory of a broken mind and just how detrimental extreme isolation.

That’s funny

I find it interesting that you have a few interpretations on the film. I'm in.

Damn, to me thie third act saved this movie. You liked the ASMR paced scenes leading up to that more?
@@MrBoooneit's more the last act felt out of place tbh, it went from a serial killer film to a supernatural one for the last 5 mins.
You both made a good point. When people expect plot twist and it doesn't happen they bash it. Same with Alien Romulus.
People are silly
Lol

This year's 10 Cloverfield Lane. The mystery isn't that compelling, but the performances, characters, mood and filmmaking more than make up for it.
Absolutely
Love the channel!!!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you
Loved this one. Was shot so so well for being low budget. Have you ever reviewed the movie Blood Quantum?

Awesome
Weirdly, i cudnt find your video in the search results. 😯
😡
i found it np; tbh i m new here AND to this genre/style of film: its a new foray for me and im dipping my toe in - whats next?

You were watching a review and commenting on it while watching the movie? 😉
It had a good twist at the end. Made me think about my life choices 😟
Stop killing people
you need to do a follow up discussion of your theories.
I love the new intro but the editing seems a little rough to me. Jason needs a cardigan and a smoking pipe to complete the 1950's sitcom dad look.
I’ll get on that
Trying to get through it currently lol I hope it has a twisted ending.. I don’t typically mind slow burns but this one is SO slow
You gotta be into the back and forth
ppl say this is like Barbarian, but not as good
Kinda
@@sinistercinemareviews5420 need to watch it still.
im new here so [dont] watch this s p ace! :}
Hello will please review tim Allen the Santa Claus movies

Comment, but basically everything you guys already said.

I didn’t explain anything? Or the movie did? I wasn’t trying to explain the movie…
It was a serial killer who has dementia and his first kill comes and constantly haunts him and until he can no longer take it.

C'mon bro Dorstatic80 I know it's been months but at least write SPOILERS dude... Whatever
Dumb, predictable and silly movie!
Boring but promising in the first act. Messy afterwards. The actor who played the guy had extremely good eyes,so never been a treat for me…🤷🏼♂️
@@jkicustoms8519 Agreed!
