- Sandbanks Provincial Park is located southeast of Ontario and about 2 1/2 hrs drive from Toronto, it has 3 sandy beaches the Outlet Beach, Sandbank Beach, and the Dunes Beach, we went to the Dunes Beach to experience a dessert like feel and at the same time enjoying the beautiful beach.

Beaches Park
Were they letting in less people due to COVID? Was there a long wait to get in if you just visited? Any food available there? Thanks for the vid
as what I heard weekends usually has a long lineup coming in and lots of people on the beach, we went there on the weekdays so a bit less people and less cars lineup, for the food they have a store in the dunes beach. hope this help. and thank you for watching our video
I go religiously several times a year..and yes, they are at a limited capacity. However, its ALWAYS been busy over the years...but, in particular since the pandemic started there is much longer wait times. For most of the summer laat year (2020) they had reached full capacity typically by 11am. So, if you are planning on making a day trip, I strongly advise going on a weekday and arriving VERY early before opening or mid-late afternoon. If you have reservations for camping, I highly adivse diverting your entry to the West Lake Campground to avoid the long lineup at the main gate to check in:) ✌

Which is better dunes beach or the sandbanks beach?
We love the dunes beach, it has a nice calm beach side safe for the kids and you can enjoy the view on top of the dunes. Hope it helps🙂
