Thank you for making these how-to videos! In Guide, how can I just see my Favorites instead of ALL channels, without needing to manually click Favorites each time I watch the TV and go to the channel guide?
i have gig internet and this thing continually buffers and sound drops out regularly on recorded programs, hard to watch a show. Does not seem to do it when i watch spectrum on demand or live tv but something is wrong with cloud dvr playback
Xumo issues I am having-I get the 3 dots of death when watching the spectrum app 10 times a day I have to press the ok button or turn on an doff multiple times to get the program to come back on. This has been going on for months since I received. The Spectrum Tech have been to my home multiple times and replaced the model, cables etc. Signal is strong. I am on a wireless NetGear router, Netgear claims it is not there issue. Spec Tech support has seen this issue but does not know what to do about it. What is the problem???
I have not seen that problem yet but had a similar problem on my streaming box where it would have to wait for content to load. In my case, the streaming box was using a mesh network for wifi. To fix, I moved the router to the tv stand and did a direct ethernet cable out of the router and into the streaming box. Still happens, but much less frequently.
How on earth do you know this stuff? It's not bad enough to have a remote with unmarked buttons for most of the functions, but no instructions in user manual! Are all such devices so user unfriendly - such as Roku?
Thanks for the comments!! Yeah I think other devices are more liked - I see a lot of comments saying Amazon Fire TV stick or Roku are better. I haven’t found one yet that is “the one”. They all have trade offs. I’m tempted to buy a new Roku or Fire TV stick and compare them to see if it’s that much better. If someone would make a streaming box that works like a traditional cable box, I think they’d be rich!
If you have a Spectrum TV subscription you should be able to get a 12 month deal the Xumo box for probably $5 / month, assuming you are keeping your active subscription and old box. Then you could test it out in parallel, see if you like it.
How can you update the app platform what is the refresh button mean in the menu icon of the Xumo streaming box and how often does the Xumo streaming boxes take to update and how do we know when the box update s and do we get a notification that my box is updating.

Your explanations are great, but please do one from the very beginning where you show the buttons you are pushing and what that does (like on the 10 hacks) where you can see the remote. It is BLACK and the bottom part of the screen hides most of it on others I have seen. Xumo should provide a hand out with the basic instructions to make it work...They provide nothing!

Why are some network programs available for a series recording and some require tagging each show individually?
Thought baout trying to this to replace our main tv box but want to keep our box in the bedroom but not sure if that makes sense with this?

Spectrum cloud dvr is $9.99/mo. Be nice if your video wasn't cut off 3/4 with that other stuff on the screen. Can't see anything hardly. But thanks.

Do you have to delete the program once finished or self Deliting?
You have to delete it when it’s over. I just verified by watching a recorded show and it didn’t automatically delete it when it finished.
