    The reason the voltage is sagging soo bad is because of the epoxy!! You can get a cheap spot welder for $50 or less and then weld nickel strip to those 21700s. The copper you are using is great but it's nearly impossible to weld copper to batteries. I promise you though, clean all of that epoxy off those batteries and weld 0.15 or 0.20 nickel strip to those batteries and your scooter will have double the power. Hope this helps!! Take care and be safe.

      It's not the epoxy that is causing voltage sag, the conductivity is several times better than welding. Spotwelding limits the size of contact points between the cell and the nickel strip, causing resistance and heat build-up, a lot of energy gets wasted and result in loss of power and efficiency. Prior to this Samsung 3P battery pack I built and tested a 4P Chinese battery pack and the voltage spike was considerably less than the Samsung 3P setup. Before that I have tried a 16S 1P battery pack and the voltage spiked so much that it was not usable in the scooter. It does not have enough storage of power to handle the load. I explained this in the video.

      It's not fun for me to admit but I think you guys are right. My silver epoxy appeared to "deteriorate" and lose connectivity after a month of use. It can't seem to handle high voltage and amp. So my battery stopped working. I had to tear the pack all apart and luckily just two cells got bad. All the rest are fine.. Shit, back to the drawing board.😕 Will look for a battery-powered spot welder as I don't live in electrical grid homes I live in an off-grid shed.

      In all fairness your idea of the silver epoxy was brilliant!! Maybe there is some kind of glue or epoxy that can handle the amount current/voltage those beautiful Samsung 21700s put out.
      I wonder what would happen if you just taped those copper strips in place and really wrapped the battery tight with that packing tape then shrink wrapped it real good? I bet it would last longer than most would think . Probably not a good idea lol.

    Great content engaged the whole time even though this is a year old video it’s very relevant. I just bought a 48 V 20 amp power battery. I put it in my electric bike which ones on the 36 V system everything stock the situation I’m having is it zips and flies in. It works wonderfully for like an hour, but then I was going up this hill trying to pull this big big hill giving it to Kapacity test and the power just drops on me. can’t turn the bike on anymore so I bought it home I put the charger in for five seconds and the power light went right on no power dropped at all not even one bar and then I drove it and it did the same thing again after an hour so I stopped using it and I put it away and I put my old battery back in until I can figure out what’s going on with this battery. If you know anything please reply great content.

    Hey what kind of charging port do you use for the custom built batteries? I will be building mine pretty soon here, a 14s pack and i was looking at chargers, they have 5 different ports to choose from, I'm sure it's just for people to match the chargers to the port that they already have, but i was wondering if there is one that's better over the others since i haven't picked up a port yet. Also do you charge at 2 amps, 3 or 5?

      @user-no8fh6qp9d Do you have two controllers that came with the scooter?.. If that's the case make sure that those 3 phase cables (yellow, green, blue) from the motor are connected to the primary (master) controller and not the secondary controller that is bridged. That should get the motor going.

    • @noobz5056
      @noobz5056  8 месяцев назад

      @user-no8fh6qp9d I am afraid it's not the bms that failed, it is your battery that gone bad from high current charging. Even if the cell is showing the voltage it will hold no charge when put to load.. You'll have to buy new cells.

  • @mansoora.7322
    @mansoora.7322 9 месяцев назад +1

    It's the characteristics of the cells that you've chosen that give you the significant voltage drop. It's the discharge rate of the cell that matters as well as the number of cells in parallel. The more cells in parallel is not necessarily means less voltage sag. 15 cells in parallel with a discharge rate of 5A aren't necessarily better than 5 cells in parallel each with 20A discharge rate. With the 15 cells in parallel each 5A maximum discharge rate, you will be able to build a battery pack that can discharge 75A maximum. While with the 5 cells in parallel each cell with a discharge rate of 20A, you get 100A maximum of your battery pack. You should have a safety factor though and not use the maximum discharge current totally out of your battery pack. I'm with those who say a BMS is a must in those battery packs. A good design for a battery pack takes into consideration a lot of factors. Thanks for sharing your experience!

    • @noobz5056
      @noobz5056  9 месяцев назад

      You are a long way behind. You are trying to school me something I already know. These are 30A discharge Samsung 40T cells. The culprit of the problem with the voltage drop is the fake silver content in the epoxy. The problem resolved as soon as I used the spotwelding with the nickel strips to ensure reliable electrical connection. And yes the higher number of parallel connections do give more stable power delivery even with cheap Chinese low discharge rate cells.

    • @mansoora.7322
      @mansoora.7322 9 месяцев назад

      @@noobz5056Glad that you solved the problem. But still your video is misleading when you say, the higher the parallel connection is the better. While in theory, higher parallel connection will increase the capacity and thus the discharge rate, but that wasn't the problem as you have mentioned with your case. It's not just simply 'more' parallel connections. And please don't mislead inexperienced viewers with not using spot welders or BMS. Using a BMS by far safer to maintain discharge and charge of the battery pack. So your video failed in two ways: you show that you can do it your way without a spot welder, the results weren't successful and two: you said at the end of your video, more parallel connections would solve the voltage sag in your case, obviously, you've said it, it did not.

    • @noobz5056
      @noobz5056  9 месяцев назад

      @@mansoora.7322 If the silver epoxy wasn't fake it would've worked fine on the battery build. The seller and the suppliers' bosses (high level criminals) lied by selling fake silver (and gold too) to the public and they keep the real content in their underground living. God told me that you need enough "physical" battery cells to reduce voltage dip/spike, regardless of the discharge rate of amps of the cells. If you don't have enough cells of parallel connections the voltage dip will be high even with high discharge rate and high capacity cells. Physical number of connections do matter. One of the reasons is due to limitations of the battery cells as they do not have linear power curve. The capacity may be plenty, but the voltage spike will still be high.
      And you don't need BMS, as long as you are not overvolting the battery pack during charging. They don't do the balance charging, the battery cells in a pack does the self-balancing not the BMS. And you don't need BMS to limit discharge rate, you use smaller controller to draw less amp, to keep the batteries within safe limit.

      A lot. 😢 Copper did stay on, but the silver epoxy turned yellow and lost the connectivity. God told me that you and I got ripped off good because the U.S. elites that live in underground cities stole all the silver for themselves and used the leftover impurity, reprocess them to barely meet minimal electrical conductivity needs (PCB boards, which don't require silver content to handle 5V at very low current) and mark up the price for good profit. Doesn’t the BMS protect the battery pack? I’m only saying like from overheating and a dangerous situation. It’ll just shut up the whole battery pack off to my understanding without the BMS. It’s a greater possibility of a fire so I’m very interested to find out why and if it’s possible

    • @noobz5056
      @noobz5056  17 дней назад

      As long as you use the right charger same voltage there is no need for using BMS. It does not protect the battery if there is short-circuit (ie. small positive wires touching the negative end of the battery or vice versa, even though they are covered with tape or thin silicon protecting the wire. It causes extreme resistance and start heating up killing the battery cell(s). The BMS will sense the problem and shut off the battery but the short-circuit will continue and the batteries will get damaged. Just make sure that the wires are far away from the terminal ends of the batteries when building. As for balancing, the BMS does balancing too but is a waste because the batteries themselves always self-balance at all times. BMS will cause trouble shutting off your ebike if it senses a voltage dip spike that reaches low voltage limit when in fact that the battery has more room to run you longer if you didn't have BMS. It won't hurt the battery.

    You can install a fuse, or a breaker to protect from over current to protect the battery from shorts down the line that could happen before the speed controller.
    You can install a temperature control switch with a probe inside the pack to cut off the power when things get too hot... or even just a temperature display on the handle bar.

I don’t want to ruin my bike so I wanna test the battery I don’t know how to test it myself. It’s battery charger something very simple OK output 54.6 V DC is two a input AC 100 to 240 V a wavy/50-60 HZ in the model is ZYD - 54620. It’s a regular 48 V charger 20 amp power I can get you to specs and all that but I don’t even know if you’re gonna reply you’re the person I definitely would like to speak with. I could tell you how the batteries built it’s it looks like yours actually, but mine is like a two series. I think it’s a 10 SP I would have to look I would have to look, but I remember sending the specs out to somebody before and they said the specs don’t add up because they said the maximum current output is 13 a and because they knew the model of my bike they knew my controller They’re saying my controller puts out more current so it’s not gonna add up so I didn’t know what that meant. And he said I had 18 different exit lines. Don’t know what that means. Hi Kapacity high power basically it’s saying these are like the best battery cells and best built but then it’s not agreeing with my controller. I think it has to do with the voltage spike that you were talking about because I didn’t understand that but now I do Because on my stock controller, it says 15 a it’s a 15 one a I got a new controller from AliExpress it does handle 48 V 350 W motor and it’s a 18+ one60/120 everything’s written in Chinese but I’m pretty sure it’s the same thing as my other controller Maximum output current so usually somebody told me what I could do is do a shunt mod on my stock controller just a little so I can check the controller with the voltage so I don’t know if I wanna mess with my controller like that, but I’m definitely waiting for a far driver controller Which would handle anything anything that I decide to put on my bike I think anyway but great content I hope you can reply to my Messy question

      So your newly built battery is 13s 2p? 2 Parallel connections in a pack is not enough it's too low. What battery did you use to build it? More detail on the battery would be helpful. God is sensing me the batteries you bought are junk despite what is said on the battery, meaning it's not genuine. Plus running them in 2 parallel connections will make it more unstable due to extreme power fluctuations (extreme voltage spike). You will need at least 3p or greater. And use genuine part (non-fake) Samsung 40T cells to build them. They are very high performance rating and actually capable. I can tell you where to get them if you want. And do not mix different batteries together when building. The strong ones will knock out the weak ones.

      @user-no8fh6qp9d Mine was a 60V battery build. I found out later that all these silver epoxies aren't real silver content. The epoxy turned yellow after some use, and will kill the battery cells. These epoxy would've been fine for 5V applications. Sorry for the misleading video.

      You won't be able to find out which cells are bad unless you separate all parallel groups from each other and check the voltages.. Just leave the battery pack alone and use it. Any cells that go bad the other good cells will take over and take the charge/discharge. The bad cells will not hurt the good cells you will just have a small reduction in total battery pack voltage.

      Nice. God told me that you are riding an ebike with that battery... . . . You know you should get a scooter (5600w scooter size, as it has big enough deck inside and big motors to spare) and build large batteries. And later build another pack and use an external battery bag to mount on the steering column of the scooter and parallel them via cable plugs. You can then travel longer at least 60 miles and at 30 mph cruising speed. My current scooter is now equipped with total of 3 battery packs in parallel, the third one is installed inside the storage case in the bike trailer hooked up to my scooter. The range is now over 120 miles. The trouble to the world is coming soon where there will be no more gasoline and electricity supply.... as they come from underground run by the high-level criminals and they are gonna get all eliminated in the near future.

    I answered and said, "If I have found favor in thy sight, O Lord, show this also to thy servant: whether after death, as soon as every one of us yields up his soul, we shall be kept in rest until those times come when thou wilt renew the creation, or whether we shall be tormented at once?" 76 He answered me and said, "I will show you that also, but do not be associated with those who have shown scorn, nor number yourself among those who are tormented. 77 For you have a treasure of works laid up with the Most High; but it will not be shown to you until the last times.
    78 Now, concerning death, the teaching is: When the decisive decree has gone forth from the Most High that a man shall die, as the spirit leaves the body to return again to him who gave it, first of all it adores the glory of the Most High. 79 And if it is one of those who have shown scorn and have not kept the way of the Most High, and who have despised his law, and who have hated those who fear the Most High -- 80 such spirits shall not enter into habitations, but shall immediately wander about in torments, ever grieving and sad, in seven ways.
    81 The first way, because they have scorned the law of the Most High. 82 The second way, because they cannot now make a good repentance that they may live. 83 The third way, they shall see the reward laid up for those who have trusted the covenants of the Most High. 84 The fourth way, they shall consider the torment laid up for themselves in the last days. 85 The fifth way, they shall see how the habitations of the others are guarded by angels in profound quiet. 86 The sixth way, they shall see how some of them will pass over into torments. 87 The seventh way, which is worse than all the ways that have been mentioned, because they shall utterly waste away in confusion and be consumed with shame, and shall wither with fear at seeing the glory of the Most High before whom they sinned while they were alive, and before whom they are to be judged in the last times.
    88 "Now this is the order of those who have kept the ways of the Most High, when they shall be separated from their mortal body. 89 During the time that they lived in it, they laboriously served the Most High, and withstood danger every hour, that they might keep the law of the Lawgiver perfectly. 90 Therefore this is the teaching concerning them: 91 First of all, they shall see with great joy the glory of him who receives them, for they shall have rest in seven orders.
    92 The first order, because they have striven with great effort to overcome the evil thought which was formed with them, that it might not lead them astray from life into death. 93 The second order, because they see the perplexity in which the souls of the unrighteous wander, and the punishment that awaits them. 94 The third order, they see the witness which he who formed them bears concerning them, that while they were alive they kept the law which was given them in trust. 95 The fourth order, they understand the rest which they now enjoy, being gathered into their chambers and guarded by angels in profound quiet, and the glory which awaits them in the last days. 96 The fifth order, they rejoice that they have now escaped what is corruptible, and shall inherit what is to come;
    and besides they see the straits and toil from which they have been delivered, and the spacious liberty which they are to receive and enjoy in immortality. 97 The sixth order, when it is shown to them how their face is to shine like the sun, and how they are to be made like the light of the stars, being incorruptible from then on. 98 The seventh order, which is greater than all that have been mentioned, because they shall rejoice with boldness, and shall be confident without confusion, and shall be glad without fear, for they hasten to behold the face of him whom they served in life and from whom they are to receive their reward when glorified.
    99 This is the order of the souls of the righteous, as henceforth is announced; and the aforesaid are the ways of torment which those who would not give heed shall suffer hereafter." 100 I answered and said, "Will time therefore be given to the souls, after they have been separated from the bodies, to see what you have described to me?" 101 He said to me, "They shall have freedom for seven days, so that during these seven days they may see the things of which you have been told, and afterwards they shall be gathered in their habitations."
    102 I answered and said, "If I have found favor in thy sight, show further to me, thy servant, whether on the day of judgment the righteous will be able to intercede for the unrighteous or to entreat the Most High for them, 103 fathers for sons or sons for parents, brothers for brothers, relatives for their kinsmen, or friends for those who are most dear." 104 He answered me and said, "Since you have found favor in my sight, I will show you this also. The day of judgment is decisive and displays to all the seal of truth. Just as now a father does not send his son, or a son his father, or a master his servant, or a friend his dearest friend, to be ill or sleep or eat or be healed in his stead, 105 so no one shall ever pray for another on that day, neither shall any one lay a burden on another; for then every one shall bear his own righteousness and unrighteousness." .....2 Esdras 7:75

      You don't need no stinkin' BMS...BMS won't balance charge, it's the batteries in a pack that will self-balance. BMS will attempt to discharge and recharge unnecessarily and take you longer time to fully charge. Just make sure that you don't overvolt charging your battery. For 60V battery charge at 67.2V. For a 48V battery charge at 54.6V and so forth. The BMS however will protect you from overvolting (not the same as overcharging), meaning don't use a 67.2V charger on a 48V battery.
      I buy batteries at bulk-battery.com and the price is better there.

    *Important Disclaimer* This battery pack failed after 1 month of use as the silver content in the silver paste epoxy is fake. It was not real silver nor did it have any purity. Most places carry fake silver so be extremely careful before buying this kind of product. God told me that if this had real content of silver it would have worked fine on the battery build, exceeding the performance you get from pure nickel stripped battery pack in terms of delivering the current in efficient and effective way. Unfortunately God told me you won't be able to get real silver content on these epoxy so just go with the spot welding technique on the pure (or near pure) nickel strip which can be found on internet if you look hard.

      @noobz5056  3 месяца назад

      It's not the battery cells being close together (or touching) cause thermal runaway per se... It is every individual battery cell that has deliberate design flaw to make negative and positive metal so close together, causing resistance and heat as more current flows through the cell. Watch this video, it will explain to you in detail -> ruclips.net/video/zBRU20bE4Y8/видео.htmlsi=owNTFd4s7Iz8mguA why it is so dangerous. Be sure to read the description or sticky comment in that video as well why the criminals do this to all battery cells in the general market and not for their own special high energy high output batteries.

      Thanks.. The BMS is unnecessary and can actually have negative impact on the use of battery's charge (decrease range) and they don't even actually balance charge the groups of cells when in fact it is the battery pack itself gets self-balanced with or without the BMS. I will try to make a video of why we don't need BMS as soon as I can. I don't have a good camera to take a video as it doesn't do well in close-ups and focus but I will try to come up with something. 🙂

      @@noobz5056 Thank you for this response. Try creating some lighting above the stuff you are filming, it should help with the focus. Maybe a flash light with a see through/transparent bag could do the trick if you're on extreme budget, as the bag should soften the light and not make it so direct like just plain flashlight would, but maybe just the flashlight will do okay. Experiment a little bit with lights, some light source will definitely help you in recording more quality videos.

      @Pro Danger Gaming YT The battery cells don't catch fire from overcharging. It is not even called overcharging, it is fully charged. Cells don't get hot charging beyond 4.2V, they are designed to receive and hold charge to full, 4.4 or 4.6, if the cell has that storage. The catching of fire will happen if there is short-circuit in the battery you built. It may not do anything... until you start charging, will cause thermal runaway and catch fire, BMS or not. BMS won't protect the batteries when this happens. Watch one of my latest videos titled "Why BMS is Not needed Building Battery Pack".

    • @noobz5056
      @noobz5056  3 месяца назад

      You don't need BMS because the battery cells in the pack all get self-balanced constantly. The only thing the BMS will do is to limit the incoming voltage in case if you accidentally grab a wrong charger and charge the battery at higher voltage than your battery is intended to take. BMS also robs power coming from the battery due to heat generation when large current goes through the BMS.
