I looked up the “son” , Sonny admitted the affair in his book, and Sonny is listed on the birth certificate BUT the son withdrew his case when a DNA test was required .it is unknown if it was settled by the party’s involved or he withdrew on own and gave up!🤷🏻‍♀️ neither side would talk about it!

I believe I recently heard on the news about how assets such as property placed in trusts are required to pay out higher taxes - capital gains - rather than straight inheritance? Not only is the tax threshold on trust lower than inheritance tax, it is based on initial cost rather than the cost at inheritance - therefore capital gains must be paid on increase of value.?
I'm looking into this now - PODs, TODs and wills because the $$ amount of inheritance is pretty low, relatively speaking.
Perhaps there is a $$ threshold where a trust is actually more cost beneficial for the recipients - ie, lower taxes;

Wife(64) and I(65) have a will but that's all. Basically we owe nothing, have 400K home and 700K in retirement benefits. We both want the same thing. Does this $600 package address both our wishes or is there a separate fee each?
