The Colonel was the definition of a Pot-Belly Stallion! That was awesome! Oteil was getting some! I saw Panic do this song in Seattle when Mikey was with us and Trey Anastasio came out and I'll never forget that...followed it Wish You Were Here. This one gave me chills. Travel light, Colonel, Mikey, Kofi and all the rest who brought us joy throughout the years they spent on this rock. Much love.
The Phil Lesh Quintet with Jimmy and Warren Haynes from 2000-2003 was the best (IMO)......archive.org/details/2002-08-31.paf.fobCCM4.nakguy.27669.sbeok.flacf But ARU from 1990-92 was a close second.
@3shiftgtr It looks like Aaron Johnston who is the drummer for Brazilian Girls....this was a Zambiland Orchestra show...so there were tons of musicians coming in and out all through the night
The Colonel didn't take alot of solos at the shows I attended. It seems that Jimmy and Oteil are very pleased to see Bruce step up. BTW - what's the date for this show?

Col. Bruce Hampton back with the ARU, which if I'm not mistaken, he helped to found. A beautiful thing to see and to hear. More please!
Now this... this is music
Jimmy belongs with Jazz is Dead, the ARU, the Panic. Jazz is Dead is the top of this list.

Not 100% positive but I think this was Zambiland Orchestra 2001, Variety Playhouse. Just before Christmas was when those were usually held.
Awesome......
matt left the band. he said his childish days are over. he got in touch with jesus and does bookbinding now
now they just need to stop being so serious... have some fun with it for gods sake.
What was the venue?
Cute comment, moeron! I'm quite certain that's Oteil Burbridge's brother, Kofi.
At 3:10 seconds, Oteil gives Chuck the shout out after his solo. Kofi played the flute solo.
1:20 that flute man
