The 1990's for me were the dark years. I was ready to permanently check out and end the sadness and fear but i didn't because even then i always had this feeling i would have been doing some elses dirty work. Rightfully or wrongfully suicide is saying your to blame and was sure as hell not taking the blame for this shit i was child i was not a fault. I don't think it was courage that got me through the dark years.

Even after all these years that plasma gun sound effect is still the best.
Pissed me off when Mass Effect in the first game used it as the Geth pulse rifle sound effect, then ditched it for the rest of the games

The opening of The Terminator is one of the most chilling in movie history. Everything from the the sound effects, music and visuals just gives you that sense of dread of what the world could become. James Cameron knows his stuff.
Sadly we are racing towards this future full steam ahead. AI will become self aware....Skynet will be born.

It really is amazing to realize just how much of my attachment to T1 & T2 is actually due to the music. Listening to this is almost as intense and fulfilling as watching the movies, themselves.
It is really amazing to use this and new retro wave to program. I use it inspiration, so that one day, I will be able to fight back against the machines. Using their own code base! I am learning C++

The perfect and definitive trilogy. Period
I'd also add in The Sarah Connor Chronicles as a worthy side-story to this trilogy. That series had no right being as great as it was, and yet it managed to be better and more in-line with Cameron's vision than every other sequel that followed T2.
Terminator Zero, I think, has proved itself as a worthy spin-off
Plus, it's interesting to see the franchise set in another part of the world for once

Not really.. it’s pretty practical to have this be much further after judgement day, laser guns aren’t just going to randomly appear a few years after a nuclear apocalypse.
Resistance at least gives us that future
When I was driving home from work, this music attracted me as a selection of interesting things. It was 1:46 a.m. It is impossible to describe in words what I experienced driving along an empty road past a huge complex that was surrounded by hundreds of lamps and lanterns. The music is just crazy!! 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱

Picked up Terminator: the Resistance the other day on Steam. Looking forward to giving it a go. It's got pretty good reviews and I like what I see from the gameplay videos.
It is AWESOME, and some many Easter Eggs from the movies and other lore scattered around!

Nice! I love The Terminator, the original is so over the top ... like some amazing and dark blend of sci-fi comic book and robot monster slasher flick that has come to life in front of us. James Cameron is heavy handed but I have to give him kudos because he pushes our buttons and gets to our emotions, gives us a fun ride.
Over The Top is also a great movie.

I've just had the craziest dream while listening to this .
I wear a copper bangle with a pattern on it.
In my dream I was in a battle against AI robots and for some reason i noticed the pattern on my copper bangle was missing part of the pattern.
When I woke up I looked at the bangle a noticed the pattern is starting to wear off in that same area.
I hope this wasn't a glimps into our future lol

The world what it looked like after August 29, 1997/ Judgement Day
Fighting to survive in the world with Machines hunting and killing you, shortage of food, post apocalyptic world, never to feel the comfort of a home again like it was in the 90s. HKs, T600s, T800s, Infiltrators look human not knowing who was a Terminator and who wasn’t, Humanity was on the brink of extinction.

I've always wondered if events of the war are any different in other parts of the world as I assume the machines are everywhere as are the resistence coordinating their attacks
maybe. The franchise contradicts itself though. First it says there is no system core, that Skynet is self-aware software. Then in other movies they attack a physical Skynet core, which is said to either be in Colorado or Los Angeles.
Skynet controls the northern hemisphere where the central core is in Cheyenne mountain, the Canadian/US SAC-NORAD military base. So think Canada, Northern parts of the US, Nordic countries, northern parts of Russia, maybe UK. Skynet was advancing slowly down south across the world killing & building installations in sight as they were building up it's own armies & advancing technology at a geometric rate. Their was a worldwide coordination campaign by militias & remnant pre-war military forces, the southen hemisphere was largely safe as they were supplying the war effort such as Africa, Australia, parts of Asia & South America,. Skynet was on the verge of completely turning the tide with T-850 models & second generation weapon assets so John took a gamble coordinating a worldwide attack against their defence grid, humanity outnumbered Skynet's assets but Skynet can mow down humans with extreme efficiency killing 100,000s in a matter of hours so realistically, would've made the Battle of Stalingrad which is the most bloodiest battle in history look like a playground, humanity was on that verge of extinction, it was all or nothing, so millions, maybe at least 100 to 200 million people participate in the worldwide campaign against the grid in the northern hemisphere in a matter of days. Meanwhile John sent a platoon at minimum to go behind the annihilation line & blow up the core while John went to the TDE facility in Northern LA. (I think) it's never stated exactly where the TDE facility is but given the annihilation line had reached LA by late 2028.
