Well, The Master has been adulterated and augmented by all sorts of stuff through his last few appearences. This last occurance was probably the last straw. Time lords don't usually have all these powers. A certain amount of telepathy, levitation and channelling of minor amounts of radiation and that's about it. Expending the amount of energy he is in this episode he's on the way to a cellular breakdown. Like a blazing sun on the brink, pulsing between life and death, going 'supernova' then holding it back. Burning himself out. Everything that is Time Lord is now hyped up, writ large so he is now; quite literally, "splitting his sides".

The Master was introduced as the Moriarty character to the Doctor's Holmes and the Brigadier's Watson.

Any plans to re-upload "End of Time Part 2" to RUclips? Looks like it's no longer available.

The only powers The Master ever had in Classic Who was hypnotising people being able to use various disguises and impersonate voices on the telephone in one story one time but was never done again in the show and uses a little weapon called the TCE (Tissue compression eliminator) which shrinks people and kills them also when he runs out of regenerations as a desperate attempt of survival he steals bodies which one time The Crispy Master did in Classic Who . This is the first time he's had these skeletor powers out of nowhere.

Ah, too bad you recognized Timothy Dalton's voice because reveal was pretty darned epic.

Wait, I've seen this episode a million times and I've never seen that unique To Be Continued effect (we're ignoring the one in The Stolen Earth)
Am I just stupid and miss the credits, or has that always been a thing?

The Master is... odd in this story. Besides some standard Time Lord telepathy, the Master has never had these kind of superpowers before this episode (although there was a period in classic who where he resembled a burnt zombie in a black cloak as a result of a botched regeneration + a story where he was turning into a cat person).

And to shatter the illusion that there's been no EastEnders actors in this story; June Whitfield appeared in a couple of episodes a few years ago which revolved around Kat forgetting that she'd given birth to twins in the past. Very strange writing and June deserved better RIP

Ah yes, I do remember that now you mention it. Was a very bizarre storyline
