I picked this game up when it launched back in 2014 and I never finished it. At the time, I felt like the game wasn't what was promised pre release and I ultimately got bored with it very quickly. It was way overhyped pre release. I thought GTA5 which came out on last gen both looked and played better. 6 years later, I went back and played it again with an open mind, and this time I completed it. It was a lot of fun to play, if you take the game on its own merits and appreciate that you are playing a game that is now 6yrs old. I thought the story was very, very good and the gameplay mixing it up with hacking and gun battles worked well. Clara was without doubt my favourite character. Fell in love with her at first sight, and her accent especially drew me in. I also think that she is one of the best characters Ubisoft has created in recent years. She is not just a one dimensional "hacker chick". She is a very interesting person as you learn more about her, with many layers to her that are peeled away over the course of the campaign, and ultimately she is a tragic character too. She was involved in the death of Aiden's niece (although she did not know that would happen) and she feels immense guilt from this, so she tries to help Aiden track down the ones responsible and do what she can to help him heal, but she is afraid to tell him the full truth of her involvement. Even though Aiden is hurt by her betrayal revelation and pushes her away, she tries to redeem herself to him once again at the very end and winds up dead because of it. I was sad when she died. I think Aiden would've forgiven her once he had dealt with everyone that he had set out to take down, and I think it is strongly hinted that Clara had started to care deeply for Aiden, and a relationship probably would have blossomed between them. It was a nice touch to see that she was the person that was leaving the flowers on Lena's grave. I'm glad that I went back and finished this game. I really wanted love it back in 2014 but left feeling a bit cheated. Going back in 2020, I appreciate this game a lot more now.
At first at 4:14 I thought Clara wanted to bail because she was scared, but then at the end of the game, she said she did all that to help Aiden, which made me question again, why did she suddenly want to bail if she initially wanted to go out of her way to help Aiden? I rewatched the scene and realized she only decided to bail after hearing "Damein Brenks." Clara probably thought that Aiden and Damien was setting her up because they wanted to take revenge on the hacker that identified them, since she was uncertain of her suspicions she tried to leave. After the shooting, still uncertain, she asked if they could trust each other at 5:50
At the end of the game Damien told aiden she was the one who gave the idea to trade for his sister, she probably did stuff for Damien too, she even tried getting defalt into deadsec
Clara is a pretty sweet character for me. She's from Quebec. She even use few of our swearing. Plus, she mentioned going to the Mont Tremblant when she was young, a very famous sky resort in Quebec as well of a very nice mountain. Sad they killed her.

There's an alternate universe in which Clara survived, Aiden watched over her in the hospital, and once she recovered, both laid all their cards on the table so to speak, and confessed to each other. Then after tying up loose ends in Chicago, Aiden and Clara disappeared... together.

I mean, it doesn't make sense when Clara got shot. 1. First shot: She got shot in her right shoulder *Clara 'hide' by Lena's grave* 2. Second shot: She got shot in her left shoulder. (I don't think that Aiden shoot her. Bcs the shot comes from Aiden's side.) And few seconds after her dead you can see no one behind Aiden/Clara on the map, bcs she got shot from Aiden's side. Y'all know what I mean? Lmao
Plot twist: real BadBoy17 is this dude 0:07, he hired Clara so she could pretend to be him so he can keep his identity a secret for safety, but also still helping Aiden from a distance.
Sorry for my bad english! I just completed this game for the first time a couple of weeks ago and then immediately start it again.Clara was my favourite character so I was very sad when she died. So I played through the game for second time I believed there is an opportunity to save her but I was wrong. So it hit me harder than the first time. All I can say Watch Dogs1 is a very good and powerful game for me. RIP Clara
