This is the United States, and I am absolutely positive that the state/ commonwealth of Kentucky has duly-authorized (by the Kentucky legislature) search warrant statutes on its books, Pinkpunk.
Now, if you're looking to question the legality of these laws, then your questions are beyond the scope of the conversations that I am having in this space, and I would then wish you a safe, and respectful good night.
This case needs to be investigated to the fullest if indeed the judge signed off on a no knock we need to see all the info and if it holds up .

People say this all the time,but why is that? Is it because no other race of men will tolerate their women being treated in this manner? Is it because other races dont fear black men so therefore they aren't worried about a consequence, because their isn't one? “Raid”? - a raid is done when the arresting officers have a warrant (for the correct address) and when the criminal they are looking for isn’t already in custody.

With the amount of advanced technology we have today, this should never happen. Police should always know if they have someone in custody already. This is just pure "we don't give a d***".
That's not actually true.... U.S. v. Leon (1984) states that even if the warrant is faulty, such as the incorrect address, that the warrant is still valid if the mistake is unknown. In addition, this was not just an arrest warrant, but a search warrant. Therefore it doesn't matter that the criminal was already in custody. If this had only been an arrest warrant, then you'd be correct. But because it's a search warrant, the warrant is attached to the property, not the suspect. The police conducting the raid acted fully appropriate in this case, as they were acting off a duly issued search warrant. There will be no criminal charges here.

From an outsiders perspective, I think it’s tragic that essential workers who have already risked so much for you have to be worried about their own government not only killing them but then ignoring the injustice they put on you. It’s so disheartening to see.

When I was younger I knew a Jefferson county police officer named Mike Funk. The Louisville police department has since merged with Jefferson County. Mike Funk said as long as he was on the force the Police they would have a way to erase any camera they used including what was on the police cruisers. It doesn't surprise me that they refused to have body cameras during the raid.

Nearly every single case I've heard where the police busts into the "wrong home" and harms/kills someone, the person they are looking for is already in jail. I'm beginning to believe that's not an accident. Something is behind that. How is it your job is so dangerous as a cop and you fear for your life everyday but go out unnecessarily risking your life looking for someone who is so easy to just look up in the jail system at the comforts of your desk? I could've looked up o'l dude off my phone and I don't have special access like they do. Something is up. At this point, THIS IS NOT AN ACCIDENT! This is not happening to white ppl. *I know this fear.* > A decade ago I was sleeping peacefully in my home when I awoke suddenly as people were pounding my door down. I was so scared. Someone was shining a light into my home as I sat up in bed. I had a little kid. I called 911 on my phone only to find out it was the police. (They had a subpoena to serve me) IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT!!! A little subpoena because I had been victimized by my neighbor months prior. Makes me distrust police.

I don't understand, why plain clothes police intrusion at 1am is legal at a residence. I'm sorry, catching criminals is important but that's ridiculous. It wasn't even covertly done, they couldve easily shot up other people in neighboring apartments by accident as well. This was reckless!

@@nycsongman9758 did you considered they went to an apartment at 1am that had a unit next to it with small children and shot into it putting 8 bullets into a innocent woman while she slept and arrested her boyfriend who thought they were burglars because no one in plain clothes show up to someone's home at 1am and knocks down door looking to talk so he got his gun which he's licensed to carry and shot at them. I also find it VERY hard to believe that team of cops DIDNT loudly say "Louisville Police !" before they attempted to enter Taylor's apartment; really have trouble believing that.
Have you fully read the different accounts of this story ? I've studied the various accounts, including the family's. Taylor was NOT shot "while she slept"; like I'd said earlier, bruh, you sound very
misinformed, and running on emotion.
This is not a put-down of you, just an observation.
The judge can either order that a search warrant be served from 9 am to 5 pm, OR, served at any time, day or night.
If a judge feels that the situation is critical enough to allow a "no knock" service, then it makes sense that he or she would allow the warrant to be served at any time. The whole point of this is for law enforcement to have an element of surprise, so that the suspects cannot destroy any evidence.
One more critical, thing, Taylor was not "innocent"; the DA found probable cause to name her in the search warrant.
@@nycsongman9758 Because you're delusional, careless and desensitized if you excuse any of this. This was wrong on so many levels. A residential apartment was raided at 1am when families were home, children asleep. This massacre couldve ended with multiple innocent lives taken.
