when i get 70 i moved permanently from Germany in the middle from Sweden. It was my best decision for a relaxed life in the middle of lakes and forestsand lot of snow over a long time. I am now 76years old. i really enjoy this video with Peter*s thoughts and experiences.
I also emigrated to Sweden when I was 69. With my son and his family. We have been living here for almost a year now and I love it. In the middle of the forests in the centre of Värmland. I look forward to the winter. The deer and elk are eating the last apples. Should have done this years ago!
My husband is 70 next year, we mostly live in Bulgaria, where life is good, being able to pace life and live in nature is good, I believe that is our yoga, not jumping up and down on a mat, following the woodcutters way. Your sharings are beautiful and truth

Well said Peter. At close to 78, I'm living my best life. I spend most of my time in the big T of Golden Bay.....where life is a slower pace. As an original "Alternative Lifestyler" I find things don't matter anymore. In fact I've seen the perfect T shirt that says... "Retired. Not my problem." In fact, and I won't use his name, I was fortunate in meeting a one time commune leader, who passed away at 90....and can just about hear him echoing your words, Peter. Thank you. And thank you Miriam for the interview. And thank you for asking the right questions. I plan on staying around for another 10 years...by the way. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. All the very best from down here in Nz.
Autumn is middle age, 40-60 or so, 71 is well into the winter of life. Most people die around 75. I'm 43 and fully feeling the autumn vibe, this is the beginning of my physical transformation. I can work hard, but less hard than before, but I know more. I am more patient now and ready to work on some slow goals I care about, buying land and making gardens and planting food trees. Nothing wrong with winter, but yeah, 71 is old. Pretty cool to hear that lady enjoyed her 70s the most. I am very afraid of being old because I am very tuned into my body so pain is a very intense feeling, not something I can ignore. We get better at handling pain from experiencing it, but I know lots of older people that are truly suffering all the time. He's lucky he isn't in pain all the time. That is what I fear, not death, but living in constant pain.
Hi Miriam! I'm really happy to have another inspiring upload. What a generous person Peter is. Good for you if you can do things. Not many men would say that. His words are pure wisdom. He looks fit and healthy. Must be the air in Bulgaria. All the best.
I love that Peter’s favourite spot is the lightening-struck burnt tree, makes me think of revival and renewal. Thank you for your words of wisdom, lots to follow up on. Your film picks up the peace of this magnificent environment.
thank you Miriam once again for a seasonal life lesson with your Peter!! it inspiring and valuable point of view, but all this freedom and completeness is quite frightening for me as a cocncrete jungle habitant... i wish i could just spend one day at least with you to verify that this is can be real. much respect from greece
Hello Peter you are looking like you are in your spring! 🙂So good to see you fit and healthy. I often think back to the beautiful afternoon at Awaroa... I would be happy to meet you again one day in Bulgaria (or maybe Oberammergau? 🙂) Miriam and you always have a place in my heart. With love, Tom
I just woke up, it is early morning in Maine now. This guy is blowing my mind. He lives in Bulgaria, I am not sure even where that is. But where he is walking in the woods looks like Maine. He seems to have wisdom and would be nice to just talk to. The internet teaches me that people are just like me, everywhere. I get not doing Yoga after working on outdoor projects, you still need to stretch though. Peter, very nice to see you walking and talking in a peaceful manner in the woods somewhere. Your vibe is very good, big up Life!
Thankyou, loved this video very wise. 70 is not so old, agree each decade makes a difference. I am 75, so happy to have this time. Good on both of you, bless you.😊
So much love and resoect for the love and respect shown between the two of you…. Also, I deeply appreciate your artful sensitivity with the camera, your probing questions and your music choices!
It’s really nice, and refreshing, just to see someone being asked a range of thoughtful and intelligent questions! And then being afforded the time and space to answer them in their own way and at their own pace. Also lovely to see the hills, autumnal colours and nice doggy! A good watch…🍁🐕😊
Hi there, lovely video! I m from holland, 67 y, and pondering over aging,. Until now i just enjoy it each day, because i dont have to do or be anything, and the whole day is mine! It is so peacefull ,.. thank you Peter, for your kind and strong approach to life,.,..go for another 20 y. !
Deep lived wisdom by Peter! Sensitive and probing questions. Beautiful scenery. And soul stirring sound track. Love you Peter and Miriam! Keep going. Look forward to more videos from you both. And if autumn and then eventually winter comes, can spring be far behind!
Great to hear and see both of you, it's been a while, thank you for another insight of wisdom. If only NZ would have a contract (Pension} with Bulgaria, then I would spend my senior years there.
You guys live rent free in my head! Thinking about your journeys often when hiking through the mountains. So lovely to see a video pop up on my feed once in a while to see you're both doing well! 😍
So good to hear from you again ❤. And what a beautiful interview with Peter, there's so much wisdom in it. I am definitely gonna watch this another two or three times. Sending you much love from me in the Netherlands ❤
Miriam another beautiful video from you and Peter, so lovely to see you both out in wide open spaces with the Autumn leaves and light. Thank you Peter for sharing your wisdom. I'm a decade behind you, in years lived, but many of the things you say resonate with me, a lot of things are dropping away and it's a great relief. I feel a great urge to turn within and "prune" and "comb" through my memories and feelings and knowledge, leaving behind the ones that are of no further use to me. It's liberating. I have plenty of curiosity still but it's a more soft, formless fascination, I can watch things with interest but without hard, scientifically-minded analysis and "naming"/categorizing (a bit of an obsession for most of my life!) - there's also less of a drive to try to understand the world of humans and more of a drive to find peaceful co-existence. I do envy you being out in nature, and admire the courage and true-to-self-ness that it took to walk that path. That goes for Miriam too. Finally, your talk of the woodland path reminded me of a poem by Gary Snyder. The last few lines are - "Walked up a trail / but the trail got rough/ And it faded away - / Out in the open, / Everywhere to go." -
Great perspectives on evolution of aging which seems that you have evoluted to an understanding of just what it can look like 'to just be' to whatever shows up. Beautiful
Well initially I wanted to make lots of philosophical points here, but I changed my mind. Thanks for a copy of your company that could be a little part of my time.
Great questions. Great answers. I've always been inspired by you both, and glad to have come to this video. And yes, I'm sitting on the ground watching it. I Love what he said about just sitting on the rocks and being with the land. It just feels so natural to me. So preferred.Thank you
Wow alot of deep truth bombs i wanted to hear since im 36 and having a full blown existential crisis, thinking of embarking on a grand adventure to the other side of the world but its hard to get out of the comfort zone. I cant help but call this guy an australian Gandalf btw :D

I think in general modern life particularly western modern life sucks but I am speaking as a UK citizen. I am now 78 and I spent a lot of my time looking back from school to high school to jobs I thought I wanted to do but found they were just a means to an end ,food on the table, somewhere to live and look forward to the weekends and the holidays. But now I watch the young in their teens and think thank goodness I am not where they are. They won't be able to buy a house or if they could it would consume most of their salaries ,they won't have a company pension to look forward to like I managed to accumulate, they will arrive at their fifties having been made redundant several times by changes in job markets very few will be in the same job for much more than 5 years before change comes along , so whilst I reflect on my life of its snd downs looking for satisfaction in work especially I think I am very lucky compared to the younger generation coming through our modern economic model. My dvise is try not to let stress get the better if you be prepared to walk away from your rotten boss your rotten company and pressure that makes you feel ill life is to short to be unhappy
