Miriam Lancewood
Новая Зеландия
Добавлен 5 окт 2016
Miriam Lancewood survived for 7 years with her husband Peter in the wilderness of New Zealand. Without technology (not even a clock), they roamed the high mountains like nomads, slept in a tent, cooked on a fire, and Miriam learned how to hunt with bow and arrow. Their experiences and observations are unique in this modern, technological world.
In 2017 Miriam wrote the International bestseller "Woman in the wilderness". It was translated into 6 languages. Miriam spoke at 12 international Literary Festivals including Byron Bay 2018, Hong Kong 2019 and Dubai 2020.
In 2020 the sequel "Wild at heart" came out. This story is about the walk through Europe and Turkey, and eventually Australia.
Miriam's 3rd publication was
"Wilder Journeys" 2023. Together with Laurie King, Miriam edited a brilliant compilation of stories about nature connection, written by well known adventurers. Miriam wrote the first chapter.

Heerlijk om te zien hoe 2 mooie sterke vrouwen genieten van hun buitenleven! Stay strong and take a small risk every now and then, I like this philosopy!
Fantastic insight you both have! You are an amazing woman! The wilderness is so imprinted in you, it is so visible in your whole appearance which radiates great strength.
You two are a role model of happiness, strenght en wellbeing. Tank you both❤
Thank you Anita ❤❤❤
You're doing a fantastic job! I have a quick question: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?
Did you know that when you’re on a fire crew for a lightning fire, the Captain confiscates everyone’s lighter because apparently, if you get struck by lightning and you have a lighter on you, you might catch on fire. I think if I got struck by lightning, catching on fire might be the least of my problems.
A few hours late, but happy Christmas to both of you.
Very cool video, hope you are back home for Christmas 🎄
Yes I am Marc, but we live in a Muslim area in Bulgaria and Christmas is not celebrated here. So we didn't really celebrate it either.... we celebrated solstice. ❤ and the days are getting longer again.
@miriamlancewoodinthewild When you travel it's also nice when you get home. For me this time of year is getting home and to see family and friends.
Woohooo😂😘🤗🙌🏽
Love what you do.
Ahhh! So high! 🏔️🌲 Non duality consciousness ✨🔁⚡️ Much love to you 😊🙇
Wijze mensen...wijze woorden. Zalig.
Well done Miriam, god that looks not unlike the headwaters of the Rakaia, Rangitata, only one thing, no beech forest, and bush. Keep gliding on,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
That's right, Robin. Kyrgyzstan does remind me of NZ. Except this is 3000 mtr higher. ❤
Thanks Miriam.
Thank you for watching, Patrick. ❤
Rupert Shelldrake morfogenetische velden. Misschien zitten onze gedachten niet altijd in ons hoofd maar ook daarbuiten.. Heb het goed dames! Bye..
There's one mind
Yes, I thought the same. Hence the word "field" I used. Morpho-genetic field is endlessly interesting to me. Especially, if you have an insight into something, it will be easier for the next person to see it too. ❤
Fantastische video en fantastische serie. Wat is het daar bijzonder prachtig!
Amazing! Thank You!
Impressive inspiring and very educational everything I see is what I always wanted but never did.
Maybe you still can. ❤
❤
Ok, I got my answer from last video, I was asking myself how they can be soo high and the grass still very short on the ground ??? Now I saw the wild horses ;) Some views are breath taking, thank from Canada ;)
Hi Vincent 😊 At 3000 mtr plants don't grow so high. Everything is dwarfed. So eventually the grass gives way to stones. But you are right, some places they have semi wild horses. They graze there all sumer, but they do have an owner somewhere.
Приезжайте ещё раз пройдите юг Кыргызстана там есть множество удивительных мест первалы водопады леса голубые озера глубокие пещеры
Gosh what a wonderful video! I can feel the excitement and the vastness and your strength! Thank you so much for taking us on your adventures!
Thank you for your lovely support Antonia ❤
Very interesting about sharing consciousness. Quantum entanglement? Having spent some amazing times high in the mountains I'm loving the vicarious experience and feeling the stillness and peaceful mind. Thankyou both of you. Stay wild! 🙏
In this part of the route, the images of you on top of the mountains were amazing, contemplative. Take care Girls.
In welke taal dromen jullie ?
Me? In English. I think in English too. That dream I shared with Nanet: we dreamed about the same topic. Maybe not language.
Merry Xmas 'n stuff :) , thank you ladies
Totally Awesome you both have such high vibrations right now that you both are sharing the same frequency. The same wavelength. Nature is pure and so wonderful and you both are so grounded with our Earth and sharing the benefits exactly the way God intended! Safe travels & big hugs from Texas to both of you! 🌷🧡🌸🕊🙏✝️
Great stuff......love from Scotland
The best surprise for Xmas day , a video from Miriam and co. Awesome stuff guys. Merry Xmas 🎉🎉
Thanks Keith❤
Let's see what we have here, part 2 😂🎉
😂 yes, Part 2 of the Ak-Suu Traverse. Part 5 of the whole central asia series.
Fantastisch avontuur. Xx groetjes van Veronique, Cambodja.
Thanks for the breakdown! I need some advice: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
Hi Thor -bot, Change your algorithm. This is the wrong video to automatically add this comment.
Incredible what hardships you are going through and it's so worth it! This landscape is stunning!
Thank you! Absolutely amazing. No wonder that thoughts of God (whatever one perceives that to be) and total perfection come to mind. I didn't know these kinds of places even (still) existed. Being taken along into this pristine landscape - with that fantastic music playing in the background - is a real gift. Happy Christmas to you both 🧡
Hi Karen. Yes there are many, many places like that. Just get away from towns, roads and farmland. And you'll come to places that have been like the beginning of time. The world is truly astonishing. You just got to walk a bit. ❤
Yeah for Nanet the mechanic ... ;) Do I need to send you some Matches ;) ;) ;)
Hi Vincent. It's hard to find good matches these days. Most are so crappy. So yes, send some from Canada!! Thank you. ❤
You are so incredibly likable and interesting, both of you. I love following you girls, the freedom, the nature, the impressions and the sharing. This is what internet was made for. So inspiring! Thank you Miriam and Nanette! Already looking forward to your next adventure.
I didn't know that, I've never been so HIGH.
Ahhahaha ahhahaha 😂😂😂 that's right. You'll get high being up high.
Yes yes and again...yes...here ...Now!!We love you Miriam, 🤗🙏💖thank you for sharing your beYOUtiful authentic energy! Back into the forest I go woohooo!
Miriam arent you afraid of bears? How do you suggest we prepare ourselves as beginners hiking in the woods?
Yes I am. There are no bears in New Zealand and I am not so sure what to do myself. But I've been told to hang up your food 100 mtrs from your tent in a tree and don't cook where you'll sleep. I know they can run 60 km/h and can climb trees. So, let's hope for the best.... ❤
Interesting choice of place and music... I'll be surprised if I meet you in Hawaii, you know someone made them too :) just kidding...I prefer warmer places... I wish you all the best
Na het zien van de video = vrij ademen en ontspanning. Prachtige natuur en mooie eindwoorden! 😍
Amazing place, Amazing experience, love your videos Miriam 💯
Thank you for sharing your adventures and Merry Christmas 🎄✨
much love from Berlin/ Germany: I always enjoy your Vids! ( thankful to receive it on "Christmas" )
This place is beautiful. Big majestic mountains and their snowy peaks. I had fun watching you trying tô light the fire. Merry christmas Girls. Take care.
Hi Helber. Thank you for watching. Yes, Nanet and I had so much fun. We were laughing most of the time. 😊
Ik moest zo lachen🤣 heerlijk..ja die whisper is gevoelig voor vuil Goed opgelost👍 hoort er ook bij hé bij het avontuur Fijne Feestdagen❤
For years I was climbing scottish munros, hiking as much as j could camping etc. The last ten years I fell into the trap of working driving mortgage. It's soul destroying. I need an escape back to nature! Your videos inspire me
Oh yes, go.... sooner rather than later. Later might be too late. ❤
Miriam, how big is your Bergen lol, Looks like you could put a small child in there. What really interests me, what is the weight is of that Beast? In your books and pod casts ect, i don`t think you have ever said what it was. Yet you do these crazy adventures and miles with Beast.
My Bergans Trolhetta is 95 liter. And yes you could fit two toddlers in there😂. Empty, it would be like a couple of kilos. With 2 weeks food it was about 25 kilos. Luckily I did 6 months training with my stone backpack. Thing is, at 3000 mtr every gram feels like a kilo. But good, durable gear is important. I got everything from bushcraftshop.nl 😊
@miriamlancewoodinthewild wish you could have seen my face 😳 guess that will have to do 🤣. You look 110% fit before training to be honest, your always doing stuff. I was thinking about altitude as well, you beat me too it. Dam, I don't think many guys could carry that up there. And your both still laughing, just saw the opening to part 5. More laughing and madness, love it. Can we see, more camp food preparation also do you warm down from your hike? Stretches ect, no star jumps though 😁
I'll let you carry the 25kgs while I enjoy the view 💞
Watching your video from my office chair on a late night...feels surreal. One day I've got to hear you give a talk at some event, only then I will know you are real!! For now, I must live my wild adventure through you..... You just said your backpack is 25kg ! (...excuse me while I fall off my comfortable chair).
Yes, Karl, I'm real!😂 I'm here in the snow, in Bulgaria, re-living my expedition in Kyrgyzstan. Where are you, Australia?
@miriamlancewoodinthewild there is only one way to offend a new Zealander, ask him if he is from Australia 😂. I'm a kiwi but I started a tech company in asia so am based in Malaysia but travel for business in this region. You're really incredible you know, I really appreciated your comments at the end of this video about seeing nature through God's eyes. Cities do start to weigh on me. Grab a handful of snow for me ❤😊
@@karlk6687 yes I figured you were a kiwi, but then I saw that it was 1.40 is the morning there. Then I thought you must be in Australia.... But no, you're stuck in Malaysia. Which is a beautiful country too. You just got to get out of the big cities indeed. Why do they always make then so ugly I wonder... All the best there. Cheers. ❤
Such an incredible journey ❤
