There was RED , now this is RED 2.0 . Always nice to see they do upgrade to the Explorer. Explorer are the very beginning of Maple story. Very encouraging to see the developer still investing their efforts.
Finally Bowmaster gets some love. Animations all match the theme and the core gameplay didn't change too drastically. Praying it has better mobbing coverage that can at least compete with Wind Archers Trifling wind. So glad I decided to stick with the class I've played since the start of Maple
Ahhh Mapler since 2007 and even with testing classes from Cygnus to present and getting many link skills, I still main I/L, DK, and Bucc. SO happy about these new animations and I’m HYPED about the Bucc revamp.
I like that thought but at the same time don't bc makes him seem nooby to the rest then if he has to learn to adapt from better heros rather him just think of the new quirks himself and be more badass that way but eh what do I know haven't touched MapleStory in eons

Hero main here. Finally seeing decent buffs on hero class. This job is just pain to grind even after 5th job. Mobility is awful and attack range is RIDICULOUS before 5th job burning soul blade. Though 5th job has slight improvement, you still get much lower rate comparing to other classes. Just hope they can improve burning soul blade to be able to keep it up time for those who maxes it out.
Hero main here, probably not a popular opinion but I like the Hero the way it is now. I just wish they can add back the original Combo Orbs animations. Good ol’ memories
Buccs look amazing now. I don't like the new megiddo flame animation, they should keep the blue color, sure, but make the flames more noticable, right now it just looks like generic mana balls. The new poison region skill looks so satisfying to see when you trigger the chain explosion with it. The new Paralyze looks great as well.
Same. But until I see patch notes that's how I'm taking it. I feel like nexon hates us cannonmasters. Off the showcase alone I feel like we are getting the least from this. We didnt really even get much for RED update either iirc

I remember when F/P paralyze skill was a purple / poison DoT skill. They should have never changed it to fire. You’re not paralyzed when you’re burning. You’d be paralyzed if you were poisoned. The skill name doesn’t even fit the fire theme. It never did. If I was on fire I’d be running for nearby lake or pool! Poison I’d probably sit paralyzed as my body begins to shut down. See what I mean?
paralyze was a shit skill regardless of the color. Looked like shit and made no sense to the class. The class isn't a venom-like class. Their poison is gaseous
2 more weeks till we can see how they work. All the classes looks amazing but shadower is a letdown for me. How can they completely change the animation for boomerang step T.T. Aside from that I'm curios how the new bucc works(looks pretty but kinda boring to play at the same time). My favourites are bowmaster, ice lightning and night lord.

We got some range increase to both standard 4th job mobbing and bossing skills and QOL change for final cut. Not too bad of an update. Considering DB was a really good class already I'm not really surprised.
I remember seeing the marksman gold power shots, and was thinking it'd be cool if they expanded upon the cyan/mirage/speed theme and color for BM. nice to see they went that route.
It looks great! I wish I could play the game again. Unfortunately, none of the people I know wants to play it and it is hard to play it alone. Hopefully I meet people that are cool with the idea in the future

@@legeul The aesthetics are what I was expecting and they're pretty great, but it seems they went with either a random trigger or set attack order like every 4th attack is empowered. That's just annoying to me, I don't really enjoy the inconsistency of that. On top of that I was hoping for more of a brawler type feeling. The character animations themselves are still very quick and lazy. If you look at the very, very old Buccaneer skills, Barrage was one of the coolest in the game because it actually looked like you were just beating on the enemy with your fists. Battle Mage is the only class that still has intricate animations like that, everything else uses very basic character animations and just goes ham on the skill effects instead. idk it's a very specific feeling that I was looking for and this just isn't it. Might as well play Thunder Breaker. And when I say very specific feeling I mean just revert it back to original Buccaneer with Transformation skills and give it some AoE buffs

If you are starting now, probably dawn warrior as they have better consistent mobbing and damage in general. They are easier to train with higher crit as well. Hero without the revamp is pretty bad mobbing. If you only care about bossing then Hero is the better choice with a short cd I frame and simple but effective boss dps play style. You can also take a look at Kaiser, it's a class that's been getting buffs consistently and they always have been pretty solid class overall.

Because I understand korean, I am so thrilled about this upcoming summer or August event with new explorer revamp. I think hero, fire/poison, bowmaster, night lord, and buccaneer would be best for the Tera burning plus during summer. Skill effects are better now.
I think that they'll always be the weakest in terms of damage and that's to be expected, but I hope they really give it buffs in its support capabilities. Right now bishops aren't even all that good as a support class, with plenty other classes that have better supporting skills (cough Kanna cough) while dealing much more damage, except for end game bosses where the healing fountain actually becomes useful. But soloing content all the way to black mage is an absolute pain because of the piss poor damage. I think the righteous indignation change is a step in the right direction, depending on the numbers. Being able to choose between a more supportive mode or more damaging mode is definitely going to be good for bishop's gameplay.

My friend and I could never down cra because healing was basically useless if almost all sources of damage deals 100% of your hp (along with most boss mechanics today too). And my bishop just wasnt pulling its own weight for damage either. Then I swapped over to phantom and we managed to clear it even though the gear was much worse on it. Since then bishops have only been getting nerfed with their support capabilities, adding CD to heal, dispel, etc. And damage hasnt even been getting buffed all that much. It's just really sad tbh
