Marky’s right hand is a thing of beauty. Most drummers reach a point where they have to move from eighth notes to quarters as they reach their limit. Two drummers who don’t have a limit Marky Ramone and Rick Buckler from The Jam, who by the way did a great version of Batman. Also great bass line and more going on than you first hear.
it's pretty fast .. that would've tired me out back when I played drums. I wasn't very efficient though .. never learned much more than flailing my arms and just bashing the crap out of em'. Playing smart with less energy wasted is a better approach. Watch some of these new metal drummers ... the stuff a lot of them do is just nuts. Been watching a lot of videos with the drummer from Crypta, Luana Dametto ... she's incredible ... She barely moves when she plays, but it's so aggressive .. she's a total athlete. Go check out some of her 'play through' videos.

Absolutely magnificent! Just when they reached the apogee of their powers it all ended so very, very sadly. Joey, Johnny, Dee Dee it is not the same knowing you are not around to share it.

Thats why Blondie's drummer couldn't replace him. Got kicked out after a couple gigs. Didn't have the speed and stamina.
