This particular video is like a Bible for color harmony, almost a textbook. There's so much info in just one video. I don't know about the others, but it takes me a long time to really understand each single point. Thank you once again for this immense body of knowledge.
I agree. It took me a couple watches. Mr Deweys paintings are not Walmart prints . They are real life examples of real life art. And he can tell you why..... That is live art.
Very interesting, I also love what can be done with just a few colours... good reason to tidy up and spring clean! Quick question: I found a full 60 ml tube of Winsor & Newton "Winsor Blue"...do you think it's worth keeping, can it be useful for anything? It's sort of dark and cool, but...who knows... (Love the guardian of your paints, by the way... :-D )
Thanks Marina. Actually cannot recall when last I tried that color. But try it out and see how it influences your usual blue colors. It is strong so will influence your painting. You may like it 🎨
There are a number of classes to choose from - some more demos and others more fundamentals with demos too. Have a look at How to Loosen Up Your Painting. Good balance of both.
Did you intend to say that cerulean is cool while ultramarine is warm? Isn't UM the coolest blue? Cerulean has a greenish tint to it, more toward yellow. Please clarify. Thanks for the video.

hi if i signed in to your on line class is there a practice video about all of this or is it going to be explanation video like this.
There are a number of classes to choose from - some more demos and others more fundamentals with demos too. Have a look at How to Loosen Up Your Painting. Good balance of both.
I signed up and paid for your painting in acrylics video. But could not access it. Help
Hi Marie - I have sent you an email to help. Thanks

Ultramarine leans to purple which makes it warmer. But I know artists debate the UM and cerulean color temperature so you must make your own call.
Thank you. Does this mean that you are likely to use Cerulean in a shadow?
@@DRPIreland Yes I often do for cool shadows.
great video
Thank you
Thank you
