      New Orleans might be the best place in the U.S. they could visit outside of New York or somewhere else. Should they only have one chance to come, I can think of worse places than New Orleans. Is it possible that it would be more affordable too?

    Anyone notice that Babu doesn’t stutter while singing. It’s a know fact that the happens to many stutterers.

    • @_FirstLast_
      @_FirstLast_ 4 месяца назад +2

      ive noticed that as well. I don't know the science behind it, but I always assumed it is because singing is more of an automatic recitation that requires almost no thought or planning. This is very different from casual conversation where every single word and syllable must be chosen on the fly and appropriate to the conversation at hand.
      A good analogy might be having someone draw a circle, a triangle, and a square. Then ask the person to draw a house or a human face. It's the minor details that have huge weight in the final product that I think our minds "stutter" on and takes a little more time to do correctly versus fixed shapes that never change no matter how many times you draw them.

      @@_FirstLast_ I noticed it also, about a year and a half ago - I'm not a doctor or a scientist either, but I think I once heard somewhere that singing uses a different part of the brain than speech or maybe it's 2 overlapping areas... wonder if it's possible that Babu's glitch is in between those areas as it affects one but not the other? I do know of several other stutterers who also don't stutter when they sing, but I've never asked them why or how it works. Wasn't Mel Tillis like that?

      Europe would be much more interesting from a cultural point of view. They can also visit several countries. In my youth I loved travelling by plane. Somewhere around age 40 though I all of a sudden developed a visceral, uncontrollable fear like Raeen describes while riding in a plane. It's completely subconscious. Once on ground I'm fine, but in the air I just start to lose my cool. It's just like not being able to get my bearings and feeling completely out of control or like dying. It's very frightening. Raeen is very brave to fly even while having those feelings!

  • @ngaourapahoe
    @ngaourapahoe 4 месяца назад +3

    May I insist that the fear could have been prevented with technical explanations about the air and the aircraft, supported by videos and simulations giving Raeen the chance to understand what is going on and why. Then, if one medication does not work, people can try others. Dr. Bach's floral remedy "Rescue" is of huge help in any traumatic situation.

    If the budget is good and decided to come to the USA bring Ruby since she seems like an adventure girl. The USA has every different farmer market, the malls, and plenty of sightseeing and restaurants at every corner. They should start at Washington DC because we have a bunch of monuments. In Wyoming I haven't seen the devil tower but I have been living in Wyoming since 1975 and only place I actually seen Arch made out of antlers in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Been to Yellowstone National Park. But when I was born in Texas the only thing I remember was tall skyscrapers and tornadoes. Oh been to the zoo in Houston. And lived in Vegas just for 1 years I do remember Circus Circus and went to Arizona to visit my aunt. We were driving through the Grand Canyon to get to my aunt's home. Oh it's so beautiful there. I had traveled to some places. Two of my most favorite places was Wisconsin Dell, Wisconsin. And Florida. I have asthma and Wyoming is dry all around us and I always had asthma attacks. But Florida seems to have helped my asthma. I saw for the very first time near my sister's home was a baby alligator following his mother. It was scary and awesome at the same time. Oh you should see the big Arch in St. Louis I was living there for 4 months. I had to quit the Job Corp because people (students) made fun of me because I'm deaf and they said I don't belong there. I think that about it.

    I’d love for them to come to America! I wish I could win the big lottery bc I’d put Raeen in business with his own brand of fashion ( lord knows we need it !).
    His work is fabulous. In fact -there would be enough special orders for the whole gang to have a position and make a good living !
    I have quite a few friends from india and they are always looking for Indian garments for the many festivals, weddings , births etc and often have to travel a couple of hours to find something or order from india .
    There’s a very large Indian population in the U.S. They’d be successful from day one .
    The first success would be their personalities bc they are a such thoughtful caring squad of people .
    Each of them has something special to offer .
    I’m mindful of the mid to late 1960’s in America when hippies wore Nehru jackets , we made “ love beads “, listened to Ravi Shankar and I think we are ready for that mindset again . Peace , love , interested about other ways and lovely colors in our garments .
    I recently attended an Indian wedding and wore a traditional Indian dress with the drape and it was fabulous.
    I was nervous to go but my young friend would have been disappointed if I didn’t attend .
    It was an amazing day for me and I’ll never forget it .
    He reminds me of Raeen . So observant, wonderful heart and outlook on life -doesn’t judge others and the love for his family is beautiful.
    Idk why this young man likes to hang out with a 69 year old granny but he does and I’m blessed. Babu is unapologetically Babu-he finds something positive about every one and he’s a prankster -the “ lady boys” with Raeen had me laughing out loud .
    Sarru and his love of dancing and laughter is wonderful. Raju is a blend of Sarru and Raeen . Ruby is a delight ! I could see she and I having a snack and laughing. She’s the BRAVE one !
    I’ve forgotten the names of the others but can describe each one .
    This channel , the people featured as well as those behind the camera are a definite positive influence in many of our lives .
    Thank you so much for all you do.
    Peace ☮️♥️

      Strangely turbulence, taking off, and landing don't bother me, it's the smooth sailing that bothers my brain. It can't seem to reconcile moving at high speed, and yet being very smooth, unlike the bumpiness of a car ride. I dislike being a passenger in a car because I'm not the one controlling it. It makes me feel a little car sick.

    No alcohol, I know, but something to settle him down.

    Raeens answer of if I am a foreigner in my own country or not is a great point. Although I think its funny he says this because in my head he was barely gone a week maybe 2 isnt enough to really think that but apparently he does. I've lived in Vietnam for 1 year and Cambodia for 1 year, just because of luck and opportunity. But When I came home both times you do feel a little alien in your home country for about 3 days to a week. When you get back you think, damn Los Angeles smells like smoke, damn look at all these people crying about being broke and oppression America really is the land of opportunity, its kind of hard for the cops to disappear you here for one. You look at food differently and when you sit in your car you are pretty sure you might of forgotten how to drive. But nope after a few days to a week you forget all that humble stuff you learned over the year and next thing you know youre sleeping in a regular bed and not the floor and eating big macs and playing Grand Theft Auto like a first worlder should. Second time coming back from Cambodia the effect was less because of smartphones. I might of been gone a year but the fact I was able to talk to all my friends on instagram and whatsapp kind of lost the effect that I was on some exotic mysterious adventure. I firmly believe Smartphones has ruined the effect of traveling a bit for me at least.
