If after landing, your plane is done with repairs, reloading you can press the J button to J out and go into a different plane. If you J out prior to the completion of repairs and refueling, rearming, you will be charged. So it is best to wait until all that is done then J out and switch planes.

It’s like a hidden gem, no, a whole cavern of them! I had no idea it was so much more complex than a first person only RB mode... I heard you can earn some serious research points from these matches, so I’m gonna try and learn the basics.
Without a doubt. I was able to grind out dozens of thousands of research points by doing well in a sim battle. Add a premium plane to that, and it goes up even further. The SL income is also better.

@@TaikaviittaX It would decrease grind by a lot(and grindjin want you to grind). That's why. Players would be bombing is SB for SL and than go for realistic enduring confrontation to get a lot of exp.
9:10 airfield I think has been updated. Damaging runway is key, although now the four destroyable modules on runway are on each corner 1 per corner and it seems a bit buggy but consistent. Not entirely sure though.
I've been playing warthunder for years and still never knew what to do aside from find an enemy and shoot. Now I finally have some strategic stuff to do thanks to your explanation. I could not even decipher what the map icons were. Gajin does a lousy job of explaining the basics.
Simulation battles look so intimidating. I thought I was doing good, taking off with no problem and then I flew into a cloud and I didn’t realize and I guess it was a tornado and I started spiraling down until I crashed.

You missed one point. Maybe it got added after this video droped. If you gain SL during the game, you only get 50%. The other 50% are obtained by succesfully landing at the airfield. So dont forget to RTB after some time.
Sim is a PS4 must! Got me to jets, before I ditched for PC VR.. Which now feels like cheating. Went from bombing constantly - maybe 1-3 kills on the ps4, to 12+ kills in VR after a couple of months practice. Couldn't hold out any longer for PSVR
I just had an eternal problem today, it was the first time I played Simulator and I did not know that a minimum BR aircraft was needed for the specific session and I did not put any aircraft like that, just put high BR aircraft for example in the session Sicily (1.0-2.0) I only put 1.7 planes and not 1.0 reserve planes and now when I enter that session I cannot play, because all planes need spawn points that can only be obtained with a low BR plane that I do not place, and it is only allowed to play with the first arrangement of vehicles that entered that specific session, which in my case, is useless for not putting a damn low BR plane... I really doubt the need for that system so complex.
Yeah mouse keyboard controlling fighters in sim mode is so hard lol. I bomb with keyboard mouse, turrets with a mouse is amazing and fly with hotas when using a fighter

Where are the sectors location? Like B1 or C7 or E4 please explaine the sectors and where they are on the map like example B1 is in the north West of the map etc...
Sorry I know your comment is over a year old now, but these sectors refer to map co-ordinates. If you open your map, you will see it is divided in to a grid with numbers and letters labelled on the axes. Like the game 'battleship'. Hope this info is still relevant to you, lol.

I'm just now getting in to sim I'm on ps4 and I finally got my controls where I can use them well this help me understand a lot I do wish tho I was able to spawn my phantom fg 1 at the start tho because I just got it and it's my very first 10.7 jet and spawning in a meteor or bomber at the start very time it's not that much fun to me but ether way I'm liking sim it's fun I really wish they would have game modes like this in air realistic at top tier
The spawn system is not ideal, but it helps to somewhat balance the game mode so that specific aircraft do not get spammed constantly. I'm glad you are enjoying sim!
Hey there, loved the vid it was very useful. However I do believe you missed something. At least I think you did. I am confused as to what the objectives (with the letters inside the dimond shaped boxes) are for? They seem to be a captureable objectives, and they seem to correlate to the letters at the top (below the game match bar) however I dont know, nor am I not sure how they can be captured. Any help is appreciated thanks.

The only thing I hear in rb is bombers communicating which Base to bomb on the map and people being angry at team killing On sb I see people say sorry for team killing, flying in squadrons , asking for locations and plans to advance and even broadcast their locations to coordinate with other people I only have 6 hours in sb and still don't understand why gaijin ignores it soo much I love this game mode and I have observed some very dedicated lobbies of people But there are no major sim youtubers besides you and some others
There are four "modules" in the airfield. The runway. Tents. Hangars. Fuel depot. Bombing any of those will net points providing the bombs land on target.
Nice vids. Would've expected more subscribers. Any idea what the base health is in in the [5] and [6] EC SIM matches? Is it the usual "just over 3000lbs" to destroy one like in RB?
@@TeaRexChannel thx, so should consider at least 6000lbs. I fly F89's in sim EC and about half the time I hunt bases as they are good XP and there isn't always good air combat. Also good for winning the match and getting the win bonus. Anyways, I've noticed that even with landing all my rockets on target I get between 55% and 80% (give or take) on the same mission. Very definitely no rockets missed, I take my approaches very seriously and have a good eye on what I hit. Almost like the damage depends on how the base is hit. Btw, I got a few short sim video's in the F89 on my channel in case you want to see, just for fun of course!

@@TeaRexChannel When the F89D just came out I could get 3 bases in one load on Air RB with just the 104 FFARs. Frequently people don't believe me but I did it all the time. Then they nerfed it but it's still quite good. Especially seeing that in EC people often don't notice you.
@@p3eqo75 depends on what tier you are playing. if you are new to Sim most nations have a pretty decent tier 2 lineup. However I find USA to be very user friendly, followed by Germany or UK

I want to farm rp but my bomber reqyures 270 spawn points Is there any way I can play with my bomer even tho getting spawn points is impossible for me sincr im terrible in sim Dt: 30/04/2020 Edit: I've since this comment farmed on Realistic Battle and I recommend everybody do so, I manged to go from P-47 Thunderbolt (Rank III) to F4E Phantom II in 3 weeks, keep in mind that I would farm about 8 hours a day. Don't do the same tho, take a break do some exercises and stuff. Just get used to Realistic, it pays off the hard work. Air arcade -> Silver Lions Air realistic -> Research Points but also Silver lions (P-51D-30) Air simulator -> Gameplay for experienced players that like real life-looking games.
You will need to bring in a plane with a lower sp cost. So maybe bring in a lower BR bomber or ground attacker and bomb a base :) Practice makes perfect!
Oh well that will sort of depend on a few factors - but in general make sure your controls are not over-sensitive and trim your aircraft when able to. Do you use a flight stick?
2 months late, but go into your controls and try upping the linearity settings. It makes your inputs on a curve, so small movements of your joystick/mouse/whatever won't upset your plane as much. Also, be gentle on the controls, don't suddenly stab anything. At best it'll upset the hell out of your plane, some will immediately flat-spin like my beloved Ishak. If you're at neutral input and its pulling in one or more directions (usually pulls up and to the right), learn how to trim your aircraft mid-flight. Some planes can't trim so you have to set them up in test flight mode.
I'm playing with mouse / keyboard and I have no idea what to do when I'm coming at a plane from the side and when I wanna aim at it (straighten up), my plane goes from one side to the other never being straight. Any ideas how to correct that or how to fight it?
I can’t get past the tutorial the plane wants to always go right and I can’t take off at all I don’t know why the plane wants to go right all the time no matter what I do
Do you have your flaps on, on takeoff? If you don't, when you take off usually the plane can't generate enough lift to fly normally and it'll always want to go nose down. In sim battles you have to turn them on at the start of every take off since nothing is done for you like in arcade or RB. Even with take off flaps engaged you still have to pull back on the joystick and hold it until you build up enough speed to turn you flaps off.
A bit late. But if you play sim battles, the aircraft behaves more realistic than in RB or AB battles. The airplane pulling to the right is caused by Engine Torque. In order to take off, you need to constantly fight the engine torque by using your rudder. As for not pulling up, it should pull up once you're fast enough. If you mean it does not react to your input at all (elevators not moving), then it might be a control issue. Be advised that you can only play in mouse joystick mode or with a Hotas. The classic mouse aim mode is disabled for Sim battles.
What is the best movement method for aircraft as I currently use full control but I want to use joystick for more control and better for dog fighting? I really don't know how to set it up

You first have to turn your engine on. If it's not bound, you need to bind it. I wonder how so many people don't know how to turn off/on their engines, it saves you from so many fires (not 100%, but it definitely helps); at the very least.
You don't need VR or head tracking, but either one will give you a big advantage, unless you're fine with using a PoV Hat or other controls (numpad) to look around. Because you need to look around a lot. Especially your six above.
I used to play with controller and did just fine with it and later I bought the thrustmaster t16000m hotas and pedals and they work great and are not super expensive(bit over 200€ combined). Biggest issue I had while playing sim was that I found myself losing track of the enemy I was fighting with, so I also bought trackir 5 which was great purchase but not necessary if you are good at looking around without it. Now I have Oculus Rift as well and gotta say VR simming is a blast. It's also much easier to keep track of the enemies and your own position but the resolution is pretty bad so you need to get close to the enemy if you want to recognize it(vr glasses also tend to be costly so it's probably not possible for everyone to get them)
@@TheJere213 I also had the problem of loosing track of the enemy (have the 16000m), and i fixed it simply by using my left hand on the stick and look with the mouse.When aiming i simply change to my right. It's incredibly natural for me(im left handed btw) and i dont really feel the need for track IR as of now.
In my first sim match of 2.3-3.3, I brought two 3.3 aircraft and one 3.0 aircraft, however I wasn’t able to fly any of them and it looked like it was locked due to spawn points, how would I get spawn points in sim?

I’m having problems, I play Xbox and air sim, tank sim don’t come up for me. As well as world war mode. Every time I go into switch game modes they are never there. I downloaded war thunder on my friends ps4 and he gets all those things. Some one help

You went into a flat spin, you probably stalled your plane, or pulled too hard on the stick

You need to change to "full real" controls (I think that is what it's called) for simulator
I love this mode I just wish it was realistic rules instead of sim. Or at least Realistic with 1st person only
Where specifically do you bomb airfields? I seem to only bomb the runway and not get any additional score-points.
There are four "modules" in the airfield. The runway. Tents. Hangars. Fuel depot. Bombing any of those will net points providing the bombs land on target.
It takes alotttttt to destroy the runway completely, the other targets are easier to destroy

I'm honestly not sure I am afraid. But I think I can take about 2/3 off a base in EC6 with 4x1000lb bombs that come with the Meteor F8

I fly F89's in sim EC and about half the time I hunt bases as they are good XP and there isn't always good air combat. Also good for winning the match and getting the win bonus.
Anyways, I've noticed that even with landing all my rockets on target I get between 55% and 80% (give or take) on the same mission. Very definitely no rockets missed, I take my approaches very seriously and have a good eye on what I hit. Almost like the damage depends on how the base is hit.

@@pilotpug the F89 is a veeeeeeeery good base killer right now because of the rockets so I don't blame you for using it. It's a fun jet to use :p I'll be sure to check out your footage!!
@@TeaRexChannel When the F89D just came out I could get 3 bases in one load on Air RB with just the 104 FFARs. Frequently people don't believe me but I did it all the time. Then they nerfed it but it's still quite good. Especially seeing that in EC people often don't notice you.

@@p3eqo75 depends on what tier you are playing. if you are new to Sim most nations have a pretty decent tier 2 lineup. However I find USA to be very user friendly, followed by Germany or UK

If only we could have this game mode. But with the realistic flight model over the sim one. Dont get me wrong. I like sim. But ED with realistic flight model would be sick.
If ED was for RB I suspect the rewards would be less as it would speed up the grind too much :/

Edit: I've since this comment farmed on Realistic Battle and I recommend everybody do so, I manged to go from P-47 Thunderbolt (Rank III) to F4E Phantom II in 3 weeks, keep in mind that I would farm about 8 hours a day. Don't do the same tho, take a break do some exercises and stuff. Just get used to Realistic, it pays off the hard work.
Air arcade -> Silver Lions
Air realistic -> Research Points but also Silver lions (P-51D-30)
Air simulator -> Gameplay for experienced players that like real life-looking games.
You will need to bring in a plane with a lower sp cost. So maybe bring in a lower BR bomber or ground attacker and bomb a base :) Practice makes perfect!

Oh well that will sort of depend on a few factors - but in general make sure your controls are not over-sensitive and trim your aircraft when able to. Do you use a flight stick?
2 months late, but go into your controls and try upping the linearity settings. It makes your inputs on a curve, so small movements of your joystick/mouse/whatever won't upset your plane as much. Also, be gentle on the controls, don't suddenly stab anything. At best it'll upset the hell out of your plane, some will immediately flat-spin like my beloved Ishak. If you're at neutral input and its pulling in one or more directions (usually pulls up and to the right), learn how to trim your aircraft mid-flight. Some planes can't trim so you have to set them up in test flight mode.

I'm playing with mouse / keyboard and I have no idea what to do when I'm coming at a plane from the side and when I wanna aim at it (straighten up), my plane goes from one side to the other never being straight.

Do you have your flaps on, on takeoff? If you don't, when you take off usually the plane can't generate enough lift to fly normally and it'll always want to go nose down. In sim battles you have to turn them on at the start of every take off since nothing is done for you like in arcade or RB. Even with take off flaps engaged you still have to pull back on the joystick and hold it until you build up enough speed to turn you flaps off.
Is all this still relevant in 2022 or did they change the rules for EC

When I play simulator battles my plane automatically turns right and doesn't pull up
A bit late. But if you play sim battles, the aircraft behaves more realistic than in RB or AB battles. The airplane pulling to the right is caused by Engine Torque. In order to take off, you need to constantly fight the engine torque by using your rudder.
As for not pulling up, it should pull up once you're fast enough. If you mean it does not react to your input at all (elevators not moving), then it might be a control issue. Be advised that you can only play in mouse joystick mode or with a Hotas. The classic mouse aim mode is disabled for Sim battles.

If you have a stick then full real control is the best way to go.

When you say "cant move" do you mean you cant throttle up?
You first have to turn your engine on. If it's not bound, you need to bind it.
I wonder how so many people don't know how to turn off/on their engines, it saves you from so many fires (not 100%, but it definitely helps); at the very least.

You don't need VR or head tracking, but either one will give you a big advantage, unless you're fine with using a PoV Hat or other controls (numpad) to look around. Because you need to look around a lot. Especially your six above.

Personally I found that M&K was easier than using a gamepad, but using a flight stick is easier than both.
I used to play with controller and did just fine with it and later I bought the thrustmaster t16000m hotas and pedals and they work great and are not super expensive(bit over 200€ combined). Biggest issue I had while playing sim was that I found myself losing track of the enemy I was fighting with, so I also bought trackir 5 which was great purchase but not necessary if you are good at looking around without it. Now I have Oculus Rift as well and gotta say VR simming is a blast. It's also much easier to keep track of the enemies and your own position but the resolution is pretty bad so you need to get close to the enemy if you want to recognize it(vr glasses also tend to be costly so it's probably not possible for everyone to get them)
@@TheJere213 I also had the problem of loosing track of the enemy (have the 16000m), and i fixed it simply by using my left hand on the stick and look with the mouse.When aiming i simply change to my right.
It's incredibly natural for me(im left handed btw) and i dont really feel the need for track IR as of now.
@@TheJere213 also, if you want better precision on the stick try holding it higher when aiming.On the 16000 theres a good difference in the precision
In my first sim match of 2.3-3.3, I brought two 3.3 aircraft and one 3.0 aircraft, however I wasn’t able to fly any of them and it looked like it was locked due to spawn points, how would I get spawn points in sim?

I don’t use a joystick and I do ok as a bomber.
What infuriates me in sim is that even if you destroy a module, they can still repair it.

It means you have not brought in a plane with the minimum BR requirement.
I’m having problems, I play Xbox and air sim, tank sim don’t come up for me. As well as world war mode. Every time I go into switch game modes they are never there. I downloaded war thunder on my friends ps4 and he gets all those things. Some one help
