I have a feeling the raid dens will be limited to party play, they seem to be pushing that feature a lot and it makes sense since it’s also a group of up to 4. We’ll see, I’m still excited to play.
They don't need npcs when they can rework in person raids. Make it so friends that are in proximity of a raid can join their other friends that may be in other countries if they are also in proximity of a raid boss of the same Pokémon. Kinda like remote raids but all the players have to be there in person.
Would be cool if it's like their other monster hunter game that lets you do limited online groups. Like I can use the item and it'll put out a global portal and group me with 3 other ppl. Maybe put a cooldown on the item so it's only useable occasionally and people still do irl meet ups too
Honestly I’d be willing to bet once they start everything up for this they will be at the for front that’s usually their pattern bring the starter right away they only exception I know since I’ve only played a couple years is galar since they really waited to start this up probably with the intention of waiting for when they develop new game mechanics and that does seem to be the case
i think it's safe to say that the opportunity to raise trainer level to 55 or 60 is whenever they drop this feature. with all the medals and xp chances from these types of raids are potentially exponential.
That's what I was thinking because it sounds like they will be special gyms that these happen at, which is like elite raids, so many ex gyms will be converted to the dynamax/gigantamax gyms
I would definitely enjoy it if this added some strategy with changing the stats of raid targets as you mentioned 3/4 of the way through the video Currently in our local community, a lot of people in raid trains use awfully-picked counters because they know there's no challenge when we're in a large group. I want there to be challenging raids / events that require strategy and communication beforehand. Limiting elite raids / Gmax raids to 4 people would still allow for big events, but very strongly reward people who put serious thought into counters, stats, leveling (imagine people flocking to the good players to be in their teams).

Pokemon Shield was one of my first ever Pokemon games and I would love to see it come to raids in Pokemon GO. However, knowing Niantic, I'm worried if they might just put Dynamax Raids in Elite Raids which would absolutely suck. However, I think that this is a great opportunity to add Sobble, Grookey, and Scorbunny to Pokemon GO
If the next season is gonna be Galar focused, hopefully it won't be the same thing for the Paldea themed season. In my opinion, that season lacked Paldea, just did Pokemon debuts the first month then barely touched the region.
The wishing piece can be done like meteorite via special research. Also the whole process can be introduced via a difficult special research like the mega poke balls quests.
I know for sure that they wont do this, but I wish they just combined all these energy/candies into one, mega, dynamax, gigantamax, fusion, and there are a lot more upcoming
I think it would be cool if a meter charged up in battle like how party power does then when you activate it you temporarily dynamic and your charged move gets replaced with the max/gmax variant
I wouldnt recommend maxing out Pokemon for Gigantamax right now. In the Sword and Shield games you had to catch specific mon that could Gigantamax. Wait until the new evolution process comes out and save your XL candy

I'm not super excited about the prospect of Dyna/Gigantamaxing, because I know it will be a mess, but I am excited about the release of Gen 8 mons! I like them a lot more than Gen 9 in general. Dragapult is one of my all-time favorites!
I was thinking about this a few days ago. I feel that the best way to use this feature would be to limit Dynamax to only battles (Gym and PvPs, since in the main series, it is exclusively a Gym / Raid mechanic). Not only will this balance things, but you don't need any energy for this. As for Gigantamax Pokemon, they can be in raids, where once you defeat the raid, you get the Pokemon with the Gigantamax Factor. You can't use a Pokemon with the factor to mega evolve (specifically Gengar and Charizard).
To add to that „skill“ for those special raids could be the need to dodge attacks to be able to win wich is a mechanic wich is pretty underrated at the moment
Sounds nice! I would like more challenging content. I want more ways to track how much damage I do in raids, too. The "top damage" acolade is busted and clearly doesn't work as we think it does. It seems that if the top damage person qualified for a different acolade, like travel distance, etc., it gives the top damage accolade to whoever next. Sometimes I get beat out by friends with low level pokemon that have no chance to top my teams. The lack of damage transparency really sucks since a big motivation is by minmaxing teams for raids. I have to rely on pokiegenie to tell me how much damage I do theoretically. Lame. This isn't something I think they will ever do, though. At least they are making the game better in other ways, but even after a year of playing so far and having done a lot of raids, I'm starting to lose my drive once I get those legendary hundos caught and maxed. The future of power creep via turning everything into a shadow isn't exciting.
Seems like the most likely way they would implement it would be a battle mechanic similar to party power. You build up a meter and activate it, then when activated it slowly drains until gone. I would expect maybe some debuffs to the boss to make it more interesting and change up the meta a little bit. Maybe even some buffs to your party to make it extra spicy. Gmax snorlax ends up healing all friends or something.
Hopefully with giganta-max they don’t create special pokemon which you need specifically for the transformation like rockruff (I think there was a special charmander in sword and shield needed for the g-max transformation)
I've also been collecting good IV shiny versions of these pokemon too! Still need a 3-star shiny Garbodor and maybe a better shiny Melmetal, and I'm set!
I think dynamax/gigantimax should be a more late game feature kinda like xl candies where you have to be level 30-35 to do them and they’ll be much harder to beat than a normal raid boss and yield more rewards. There’d be a small chance to get more premium stuff like elite Tms, star pieces, raid passes, incubators, etc so that there’s a way to get the more exclusive items that you’d normally pay to get but free. This encourages grinding and beating more raids and you could make stuff like wishing pieces paid or very hard to drop.
i would guess as some mentions that the pokestops would turn into mini-raids i mean more availability for those who live far from gyms and they wouldnt compete for the gym spawns + the amount of clutter in big citys would be insane if max raids would pop up between pokestops gyms and a bunch of pokemon, i would probably panic if i opened my phone at that point :D
As long as Niantic doesn't give us Martin with Solrock for an ally NPC, I'm listening. I'd like it if we could deposit a Pokemon into one of these dens when there isn't an active raid, so our Pokemon can help when there is a raid. Then, when the raid is over and our Pokemon returns, they can come back with Max Energy/Candy.

Maybe even add NPCs if you don't have 4 so even a single player or duo could do this. I would like to do local raids, but don't want to rely on needing to summon more players via Campfire. People have different schedules. I don't mind the thought of needing to catch the Gigamax enabled Pokemon from a Max Raid. Hopefully that's not RNG based. Maybe they can provide the mushroom soup from the mainline games at a coin cost in the shop to add Gigamax to your Pokemon that can do that. As far as activating, maybe only in battle. Use crystals similar to shadow raids and collect them via a new mechanic. Or from catching that typing of pokemon in the wild, similar to XL candy. You have a chance.

I've always thought it would be so cool to send free remote invites out to best friends to help in raids. Like a limit of twice a week or something.

Definitely make it so dynamax/gigantamax can solo a top level raid boss , maybe like once or twice per day so its kinda balanced
Hey, daxi, is there any way you could make a video showing how to work your items for pokemon? Like how many pokeballs you should have and so on how many of a set item compared to others. I am asking, and i know it is personal opinion.

If you hit “see more” when searching for Pokemon if you scroll down Niantic already added the way to look for these Pokemon in your Pokédex
The NPC thing would make sense like the Monster Hunter game that Niantic already has so would be easy to implement

Niantic would be better off having “Go” exclusive Mega’s. Mega evolution has and will be the best mechanic in the main-line games.

Finally some new stuff!! However, I do wonder if they release Dynamax Blastoise, and you have already maxed out a 100 % Blastoise and used it as a Mega. Can you still use it as Dynamax to or do you need to get lucky enough to have 2 hundos?
