nice! great idea, i'm planning to do the same w/my kitchen/condo w/the lights on top and also plan to do under the counter/center island too! thanks for sharing your setup! seriously, these bulbs let me live what i had dreamed of as a kid. actually all tech these last few years has been a childhood dream come true. smart watches? google glass? oculus rift? smart led bulbs? life is good!
This would be so much more helpful if, instead of the music (which I immediately muted anyway) you talked us through your video, explaining things as you go. For example: how many lightstrips are above each kitchen cabinet? How useful do you find them in everyday use, etc?
Did the title suggest it would be a how-to guide? I must have missed that. Music is lame but guess what? You probably have at LEAST 2 ways to mute the volume.
Nice demo. They are very expensive indeed. If only Philips made things somewhat more economical then I am sure they would sell a whole load more. All you need is Ambify now :)
Thanks, Though they are a little on the expensive side at $89 six foot strip. But i always wanted something that i could control with my network. Haven't bought any Blu-rays lately, maybe someday i will do a video. Thanks for watching my friend.
Jonathan C The concept is simple as hell. You buy the product. Plug it in. Install the product on your home network by allowing it to access your home's network. (Just like installing a computer). Control via phone through the hue app. You may need a hue controller to control these I'm not sure. Most hue lamps or led fixtures need this hub to control them via phone. Is it simple enough?
Solomon Searle I don’t think I understand what you’re saying? I guess you could use the light strips for your bedroom lights but they’re $89 a light strip.
Nice advert for Philips. Notice you conveniently ignore the fact that APP is impossible to work and is designed and sold by third party with no connection to Philips. CRAP product.
CrimeJail This annoyed me as well. I bought the 199$ starter kit from BestBuy, sure there are cheaper venues like ebay or amazon. I love my light bulbs but THIS was my first outrage. The app that is advertised hints at full control, I mean after all you spend 200$ on 3 light bulbs and the wifi controller. No the generic app is garbage. The premium app wants another 1.99$ for full control. Screw that I just paid 200$. There are tons of user apps on droid market. Most are paid but are a few free-ware ones that have more control than the normal one.

NO Don't listen to this guy. Your talking would have been pretty useless and the music was vibe I liked it more than the video.
What??? Walt Mink??? Wow, you just made this video 100x cooler.
Missed the unboxing on this video, but they lights look cool on the cabinets.
Not informative, and by the way kill the music.

Read my comment. There was nothing said about a how do guide. I said NOT INFORMATIVE. Just another junk vid crowding the internet. Just saying...

Nice Demo!
Wife: Honey!? Why did you make my kitchen look like a disco?
I could do without the music
Wow. I learned a lot...
Did you expect to from the video title?

Why music? Terrible.
Actually I found it uplifting :P
music sucks
I liked it
Anthony Freedman Anthonythearchitect To each his own
Walt Mink is awesome, troll!
Fuck you
This is so damn cool
can you add another foot or 2 to the strip ?
Did you have an outlet above the cabinets? How did you run the electric? Cool setup too!
I drilled a hole on the top of the cabinets and routed the wire down to an outlet using cable management to hide the wire. Thanks for viewing : )
I found the music on this video hugely uninformative! Couldn't you think of anything useful to tell us - like how you put all this together?

Michael Hinchey Well, we'd know if we needed that extra shit if he'd told us...so, no, not simple enough. If he'd told us, your ass would know, too.
Had to stop the video the song was making my ears bleed
Hey, cool video, but can the stripe only be one color at the time? or can it be different colors at the same time?
Kasper Bond I'll say just one color aylt a time.
Is there anyway I could use these as bedroom room lights a posed to a $60 lightbulb?
Solomon Searle I don’t think I understand what you’re saying? I guess you could use the light strips for your bedroom lights but they’re $89 a light strip.
What about put this under your car and record it?
So when you plug it in to the outlet how are you able to split it above the other cabinets or do you have each strip plugged in separately?
TNiss54 He has multiple 100$ strip kits. You only get 1 strip per box.. typical apple over priced item
It's made by Philips not Apple.
+Losttouchjs right 😂😂😂😂😂
Urgent! Do everyone know this philip hue led strip product can be extend/ can be add on another strip with one smart phone control?
As far as I know you can't add anymore.
These things are just beyond over priced currently
Philips hue
Which song is this?
Im not sure what song this is, I just picked one that fit the video, Sorry.
use Shazan in your Smartphone.......
Lama - Walk Mink
why does this video hurt
For the whiners, there's a very modern invention called the mute button.
This music is horrible.

Not a useful video at all...
This is so damn cool
