  • Special guest this episode! Take a first tour of my new Kettenburg PC32 Harp as I start to look over everything that needs to be done. I also sit down with the previous owner John Getz as we talk about his time with the former PC fleet that once operated in Marina Del Rey.

There is one PCC, Antigua, up in Berkeley. She hasn't sailed in years, but she's still here. I love the lines of both the PC and the PCCs. I'd be curious to see how a PC would do against a San Francisco Bird boat (Alden design #157) I think there might be another PCC in Novato on the hard, she needs a ton of work from what I've heard. Not sure the name of her.
Congratulations on the boat, she's a looker. I look forward to watching the journey ahead. Wooden sailboats are where its at.

Thank you! Yes, from my understanding there aren’t a lot of the 32s left on the water. There’s one that’s been on the hard for nearly a decade that’s down at LAMI in San Pedro… it’s so difficult to get them back into sailing shape when they are that far gone.
And yes… there is nothing like the sound and feel of a wooden sailboat. 🥰

Hi Matt. Contact the San Diego Yacht Club and ask for the PC Fleet Captain contact info or leave yours for them to pass on. The documented history of the PCs is significant down here. I used to own PC18. My dad used to own PC 23 & PC 40.
