I've been a tad addicted to Suno the past week. I've been feeding it my custom lyrics. I realize fairly quickly the thing with lyrical structured prompts, but was looking for more prompts to fine tune the song to the way I want it, beyond the "chorus," "verse", "bridge" aspects. The musical styles prompt is fun to play with and the use of the word "experimental" has provided me with some fascinating results. At this point, the thing I would like most is for whenever I get a style/melody/vocals render I approve of using it could be edited and re-rendered in that exact style, etc. For instance, I mush too often make a typo and don't see it before rendering a song. The song Suno pops out might be perfect for me other than my own flub, but I apparently cannot correct the flub and still keep that version of the music and vocals. I also sometimes write lyrics on the fly, so to speak, in the program, and often I fine tune the words after hearing the results after rendering. There again, I often would still like to retain the version it gave me, but with the corrections I made. If this is not just something I am overlooking, maybe one day that feature can be added?
I completely agree. We need to be able to make small adjustments without completely regenerating something we already like. I think it’s one of the biggest issues with the current version.
1: Go to the file you liked. 2: Click Extend 3: Set the time back around 00:02 seconds. Or a little after. But before it gets to vocals or any main beat line. This usually keeps the seed values for the track and mostly retains sound quality, and sometimes the voice. Better than rolling random. But I hope they give direct seeds we can input soon.
@@realmattdean Hello, I’m from Brazil. If I make a song, can I monetize it on RUclips or other platforms? How does it work in the United States? I hope you can answer me.

I even put in (Symphony) and that worked as well. So highly impressed in using this for the last 2 days. They generally work. Still playing with these prompts.

great video, at the end you mention rework the lyrics, but how do you keep the same music to the song.. still not quite sure even if that is possible? idk
Hi, I just signed up for the monthly subscription in Suno. I wanted to upload my music without vocals as I can't sing for toffee. Then I would type in my lyrics and have Suno become my vocalist. However as Suno is so very basic this is not possible. Suno messes with your upload and just sticks the vocals in random positions. As such this is no good for me, I need the vocals to come in where I want them. I assume this is impossible? thanks
Great video. Have you found any ways to prescribe meter within verses? A consistent stumbling block for me is the AI going off on a tangent rhythmically and not following what I want to be the timing of the verse/chorus/etc
Thank you! The meter is really tricky. I found that I had to sometimes change the wording slightly to get it to work - but it's one of the problems I most run into. It would be nice if there was a way to denote how to break up each word/ phrase. I did a video running through the entire process of creating a song where you can see where it works and where it does NOT.

@realmattdean Brand new to Suno. NO music background. [Intro] doesn't work for me. Also, the biggest mystery is if it is possible and how (probably not) to amend the lyrics of a song you've generated. Whilst you can extend on it (i.e. add further verses), you can't just amend a couple of lines and re-generate an existing song with exactly the same voice/music/rhythm. That's something Suno has to work on. Extending from inside a generated song also results in slight variations and the results are not quite the same as the originally generated song. At least in the Russian language I've played with.
Agreed. It has a lot of problems. There doesn’t seem to be a way to tell it that you like certain aspects of a song and tell it not to change those while fixing other parts. It’s very much an “All or nothing” approach to making a song.
I've been trying to make 90s eurobeat dance songs for fun and most of those songs have female vocals with a male rap in one of the later verses... i haven't figured out a way to do this and seems like something that should be pretty simple. i try, like, [male rap verse 2] and it never seems to do anything no matter what i try.
@@OODZUTSU it’s still very problematic when it comes to specifics. It’s seems to like style of song first followed by and details. I did an episode of building a song from beginning to end if you’re interested… A.I. music on Suno. Episode 01: Man vs Bear ruclips.net/video/TvamkhqBA4U/видео.html

Useful tips there. I have added to the little I know about Suno. Thank you. I never studied music but want to make money by making and distributing AI musing on all streaming platforms. Is this possible with Suno?
If you are paying for the service then according to them, you own the copyright and can distribute the music. You will have to look at using one of the distribution services like CD Baby to get the music on different platforms, but it is possible! You can also have the song playable on Suno but I don’t think they are paying people to stream on their platform.
I had problems with it doing intros as well. I did a video creating a song from scratch and ran through that exact problem. Perhaps try [instrumental open] as a prompt??
There is an option of instrumental only on Suno, but it doesn’t have a way to bring in your own music (at least not yet). I’ve heard that one of the other AI services can use music that you bring in. I’ll need to research it further.
I have an issue, I'm trying to make a drill song with lyrics but the beat never drops when I want it to. More specifically on exactly what lyric I want the beat to drop on. I've tried putting it at the start, at the end and between the last and second-to-last words in the verse. I've also tried putting it every 2nd verse to see if maybe having it after every verse was an issue. Do you have any tips? Thanks in advance
For these types of issues, I recommend taking pieces of the song and see if you can cut them together yourself. The ai still isn’t great with precise directions. Have the ai make the segments you like - and see if you can make it be closer to what you want by editing those pieces in an audio or audio and video software. (DaVinci free version might be good for that). Let me know how it goes!
I just added a new video about 3.5 and it’s much better at dealing with descriptive prompts. Things like adding drums and things that you are wanting to do is much better.

It'll help and it sounds really good!
I have found that I have to use a separate audio editing software to piece things together. Often sumo will give me a few things I like and others that I don’t and I have to re-edit after.
I would go with (if it is what you are thinking of, idk) “1900th century English” or Irish or whatever after the word “male.” Also i find (a lot of Suno) annoying that I can’t put band’s names as references in the “Style of Music” category just to reverence. ...oh man I am so far away from music that when (3:19) he said 'this is terrible' i, at the exact time in my mind said 'its sounds good' ...i am now sad b/c of my knowledge/taste in music LOL
Don't go by my taste! If I were better at this I'd be making the big money. If you like it - then that's all that matters!!!
@@realmattdean Thanks for the positive words 🙏
Just put up a new video talking about 3.5. This is a great tool to start learning music. You could end up being the new face of music if it’s something you want to pursue.
Trying to learn Suno. I cant watch your videos to the end. Too much extraneous fireside chatter about this and that. For some of us, try putting out a video laser focused on nuts and bolts and how-tos. Point a to point b. I bet that it will get you a good response.
