My Panasonic 50 inch plasma TV lost all inputs except for the pc input and component video inputs. At first I thought that my cable had gone out, and then thought that the entire set had gone bad. After researching, I found information pointing towards an input board that may have been zapped during a thunderstorm. Did you experience the same thing. How is your set doing after 5 years?
Can you give anymore advice to not getting electrocuted? I'm going to replace my "A Board" myself. I'm leaving the TV unplugged for 4 days in hopes that it will discharge the power. My only issue was all 3 of my HDMI inputs stopped working but the TV menu still works and everything else seems fine. I really like this TV and found a good price for a refurbished "A Board". Your video makes it look fairly easy (minus the 50+ screws and the possible electrocution).
Bake it in the oven for 5-10 minutes. Preheat at 350 and just be sure to use a Pyrex dish to set in and keep a close eye on plastic components of motherboard.
I have a 50PX80U that turns off after just a few minutes, sooner if warmer, longer if colder. It turns itself off and displays the 2 blink code which I looked up and found to mean 15V SOS with a check point of A board. Do you know of a test procedure so I can determine if this is a bad A board, a bad 15V power supply, or just a temperature sensor somewhere? None of the caps are swollen on any of the boards.
Is the MotherBoard for Panasonic TH-P50S10D available in the Asian or Indian Market for I have been informed that this Board is No More available ??? what are the facts about its availability if anyone can help that would be gr8 thanks
Too bad the most important part was "time lapsed". Many differently sized screws and not too likely to remember where they all go exactly. Could have at least mentioned where the oddball screw sizes go. Everything else that is gone over in the video is basic so it turns out the only thing that might need clarification is the screw placements and maybe wire placement. Both of which were fast forwarded way too fast. Very poor call. Now this TV is lost in time so the chance to get a better videos is over.
I had this exact same problem with my panasonic plasma and your video gave me the confidence to replace the board. Thank you!

If a tv were having issues with none of the inputs being recognized, would you expect the whole board being the same issue?
My 50” plasma 2007 TH-50PX75U is not the same as the pic, I need a video for this Panasonic - top 1/2 of screen black with 2 Z electrodes
Didn't mention if there were blink codes....
