I have 2 TC-P GT 30's a 55" I bought new in 2011 and a 65" I picked up used in 2019 from the original owners who claimed they never had any failures w/ 9000+ hours on the meter-- the 55" had a 7 flash failure in 2017,took it to a local repair shop that sent a failed board out and had it repaired. As soon as I got the 65" home the back was removed and the loose screws were tightened--Tight. Then the back was removed from the 55, and found screws were loose--2 years after repair so I tightened them--Tight. so far so good for both TV's the LG OLED I bought in 2020 CAN'T compare to the Plasmas w/1080p or lower resolution for color accuracy or picture quality These Panasonic Plasma TV's are the BEST. and I will recheck/retighten the screws and clean the fans regularly w/hopes that they live as long as I do.
So I have a 55 VT series and I have the 7 led flashes...did you have the board repaired or replaced? And if you had it repaired, where did you send it and which board was it?
Thank you for this video, i have Panasonic TX-55CX700 and when i turn it on i get the popup message ( storage is almost full ) and cant do anything whit the remote and i cant find how to manually reset the tv i has only some kinde of mini joystick button down in the middle, any hellp would be greatly appreciated.
I have a TH-50PX75U Panasonic Plasma TV that the outer most glass layer has developed dust or grime on the inside that I am unable to clean off. I am wondering if the front only can be removed or accessed in order to clean the back side of the glass without having to disassemble the whole TV or remove the display panel?
Thanks for the video. I have a TC-P55GT30 Panasonic Plasma and it served me well, but the picture keeps going from light to dark and back again. Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks for the great video. I have a problem with my panasonic TX-P50G30E TV. When I turn on the TV, the green light is on, but there is no picture or sound. What is the problem. Thank you
Congratulations for your Helpful videos! I have the PANASONIC TH37PX80E and in all SCART (AV1,AV2,AV3) i have no video signal I see all option of the TV in the screen and I have noise sound from the scart cable. I have not check the HDMI ports yet . It could be the main board in the Video input section? What you think that I have to look? Any special part to measure or change? Thanks in advance and have a great day!
Hi! This was a great video, especially the preventative maintenance part; I will do those things to my tv. I have a 2009 Panasonic plasma. I have a coax cable plugged in to the antenna jack on the back of the tv, and am getting a great picture and great sound. I also have external speakers hooked up via the optical audio out jack on the tv. However, the audio from those cable channels is only coming out of the tv speakers; it will not come out of my external speakers. I have other sources plugged into my tv (for example, a Blu-ray player) and their audio does come out of my external speakers. So, that tells me that the audio from my cable antenna signal isn’t even making out of the tv. I have tried looking through all of the tv settings, and have also searched online for a solution, but nothing has helped. What are your thoughts on what the problem might be?
I have already tried looking in all of the audio settings and menus, but nothing that I found solved the problem. What would you recommend that I try next?
Whishaw I saw this a year ago.lol. I have a 2009 Panasonic Plasma TC-46G15. It was always over heating my bedroom up in its last few years and made me close my central air ducts so I didn't over heat in bed. It is smart Viero TV but not wireless. But, It had better Picture from any angle better than the 4K LED I have now. It just made a popping sound one day like a fuse and stopped turning on. I am pretty handy and have a complete electronics soldering station with heat gun too and variable temp. But I usually work on game consoles & controllers etc.and used to build computers I'm about your age. Have tried to replace backlighting on LED TV few years ago and was great till last moment as I went to attach bezel for front & screen cracked and ruined my work. I had two of same model one already had cracked screen. So ended my foray into TVs. But This Plasma TV still out shines my 4K in many ways I would like to pull back and see what it needs for repair as not the Screen integrator on side as gave perfect picture until day it just stopped and had no burn smell to it and hoping is a fuse as some have fuse on power supply I noticed from a few channels but am not a super diagnostician with my Good Meter. As I mostly use to check for shorts or broken pcb circuts. Best guess on popping sound when it went out?
Just came across your video, I have a 2009 Panasonic Viera model TCP58v10. The bottom half of my screen is black. Please help. Wish you were closer. I have soldering skills. Do you carry any boards for this model. Love my plasma.
My Panasonic TH-58PX60U when you turn it on clicks for a while and takes time to come on. Sometimes I have to leave it in plugged for a while before it will come on. What do you suggest?
Hello I don't know your soldering skill level only to say you have a cracked solder connection problem. It is highly possible you will find your problem on the power supply board.
I own a Panasonic Viera 50" Plasma (TH-50PX50U) and years ago a black box (approximately 12Hx11W) appeared at the upper right corner. Did some resetting to the factory settings, but it didn't help. I suspect that a power surge caused this problem, but we kept the TV because the picture is simply amazing and we could live with that box. Could it be the closed captions area? I don't know much about electronics, but I am willing to at least try, if replacing a board is what needs to be done, even if at the end we'll get a new TV. Thank you, in advance.
@@Patch1stripeTVParts Thank you very much. I will probably contact you for the part, if I decide to proceed with the repair myself - I am not very adventurous when it comes to electronics :)
I have a Panasonic TCP50S30 and while watching I heard a pop, and the screen went dark with a 14-blink error code. I replaced the SC board with a used one and it now "works" (no blinking codes, green led on SC and SS board), but the screen does not respond to brightness, contrast, etc., changes and colors are off. Orange displays as either red or yellow. Green looks yellow, purple is either magenta or blue. Text and lines are sharp. I would appreciate any advice, so I don't have to toss the TV in a landfill.
Hi, a friend of mine asked me to try repairing his Panasonic TX-40DX600E that stopped working after a power outage during a storm. Nothing happens when you plug it in, not even the red standby led turns on, no response at all. Any tips? Thank you for your time
@@Patch1stripeTVParts Thank you, that was some useful insight, I didn't think about that. Unfortunately I don't know which way it came in. Is there any way to test either the power board or the motherboard before I buy replacement parts? On the outside both look fine. Thanks again for your time and help.
i have the 65” version of this tv circa 2009 it weighs 133lbs just recently i moved it and upon start up it is buzzing significantly i tried taking the back off and tightening all the screws on the electronic boards to no avail.. hmm
patch1stripe.com/product/a-live-repair-help-session-with-patch1stripe/. I can assure you that your TV can be repaired for less than $550. That is if you want to do it yourself. That is a great TV. Don't trash it. Someone near would be very happy to have it.
Hi I have a panasonic viera th-50pe7000u plasma tv and I have a picture defect in a vertical black block about 13-14 inches from right side from top of screen down about 13 inches to mid screen and it's about 1.5 inches wide. It started intermittent color lines in the block section until total failure of the single block of the screen now it's just a black thin block of screen then it did the same thing to the block next to it to the left. Now there's a black block about 3 inches wide from top down to mid screen like that section has no power. I love the picture when comparing to new oled's with bad color representation and not smooth video somet sometimes. Plasma doesn't have these issues. Is there a fix for this if so could a competent person without tv circuitry experience do it? Lol! If not ballpark cost. Thank you.
My ZT60 know as the last and best plasma tv ever made is intensively flickering in bright scenes and also heavily dithering in blacks. Tried replacing main board en ysus but to no avail. I'm Searching the internet and calling people for months now but no one really knows. Although some of these symptoms are normal for plasma but get worse overtime.
Thank You Sir, for your help and knowledge on these TV's , it has helped me get an understanding on what I am doing now ! Take Care and God Bless.
Great to hear!

you need to see if you can find visible component damage next do the process as shown on the video. it will take you to the problem.

How did the surge hit the tv? Was it through the antenna or the power source? Which ever way the surge came in, that is where the damage happened.
