I'm from Hannover, the City of the EXPO 2000! Unbelievable, the sound of this song is still 2022...
I remember when Kraftwerk played in the early 1970’s pre Autobahn a concert at my German cousins grammar / gymnasium school in Grossburgwedel nr Hannover

I like how it still sounds futuristic even now. It has stood the test of time.

I was looking for this masterpiece with just these words as a hint "Man, Nature, Technology" and then I have found a history of electronic music and its pionners the kraftwerk. respect
There's something about this song, maybe the pioneer 90s-ish feeling that makes me feel so good, is like a compensation for nostalgia... if that means something to you. I love the fact i can go back to really happy times in my life (usually when i was a lot younger, not that i'm not happy now though) this is great.
Was just casually and accidentaly listening to music while arranging /fixing a word job for university and while listening to this it felt so good, i was focused on my mechanical body functions, everything went smoothly.

I play mostly Electronica at work everyday because of just that, only recently have I started playing this almost daily. It truly does help with the focusing, especially when working in front of a computer for 8 hours a day.

Planet of Vision was 2hrs wait outside just to discover that you have to wait in line for another 2 hrs inside... a wast of time if you only went once to the see the Expo 2000, but at least they played Kraftwerk inside haha

When I was a little boy, electronic music didn't impress me. But Kraftwerk with Expo 2000 .... I started listening. I started to like Drum and bass. I wondered .. where do the sounds come from. And I went back in time with Kraftwerk

the last version (2001 mix) and the radio edit are my favorites. i love the pulse with the beats stripped away, and you can really hear how rich those synths and how strong the melodies are, including some of the coolest and deepest voice processing i've heard. all versions are great though.

I was only 5 when this came out. Brings back a nostalgia feeling. Reminds me of smackdown 2 on ps1. Reminds me of that bowling game when your in space on n64. Reminds of me skaters wearing baggy clothes. Times change.
Expo 2000 (Kling Klang Mix 2002) is my favourite version being a bit more dance floor oriented. Ralf & Florian sure knew how to make a great piece of music! (Think they retitled this 'Planet of visions' for their live shows)

When I first heard this song in the year of 2000 it sounded very futuristic and it still does, but the 21 century is not as exciting as I thought it would be.
