    The idea of playing a historical wargame while actually located WHERE THOSE HISTORICAL EVENTS TOOK PLACE is just too cool

      Little Wars TV played a wargame of the battle of Trenton at the Hessian barracks on the original battlefield.
      I concur, truly brings the battle more to life per se.

    3:09 Christy Beall from WSS spotted. She had a painting series on the WSS RUclips channel that was great. Unfortunately the channel has been dead for 5 years but all of the videos are still there for viewing. That channel still has 15k subscribers. I don't understand why WSS wouldn't use that channel to upload videos to promote each magazine issue at least.

    • @LittleWarsTV
      @LittleWarsTV  Год назад +5

      Christy's painting videos were top notch (and still are, years later!). We asked the WSS team why they stopped producing videos like that and, as you might expect, it takes a ton of time and energy to film and edit them to that standard. Just a question of resource allocation and management. Now all that time and energy goes into the magazine itself

    Oh the possibilities of a multi-table Market Garden (all the bridges) or 'just' the Arnhem battle. Been thinking that would be good since your Malta game.

    Well I asked for Arnhem in your campaign suggestions section and you gave it to me here. So thank you for this segment. This channel just gets more amazing every day and you guys are so much fun to watch. I am also opening up my mind to a lot of historical eras to potentially game in solely due to your outstanding efforts. So thank you and I'm going to stop praising you all before your egos explode!

    Ahh, good to see the TooFatLardies. Been watching their videos on this and I’m enjoying just how well it’s come together with it.
    Hopefully not only will this bring a good remembrance to history, but also bring greater exposure to miniature wargaming - and especially historical wargaming and how it can be used to help us recreate and experience history

    This battle has a special place in my heart as my parents lived for a while in a appartment overlooking Nijmegen and both the bridge and the place where the river crossing took place (they've now built another bridge on that spot). So if I visited I could literally see the whole battlefield. They've know moved across the river on a location that's basically in A Bridge Too Far.

    wargame rules> do you not find its like looking for the "holy Grail" everyone is looking for better rules all the time, the ideal set > the perfect set>>> I suppose being a solo gamer I can alter rules to suit me >the rules I use for WW2 is a vastly expanded Charles Grant> Napoleonic's I have adapted the wonderful Fire and fury and for ACW period again Fire and fury>>> have not found the ideal post war wargame company rules, that I can use for Africa and Vietnam, not keen on FOW Vietnam though its a pretty book
