I can vouch for the Nextool scissors. Yesterday for Chinese new years festival, had to rely on the flagship mini scissors for cutting paracord to tie down inflatables. I also used them for nylon cord about finger thick. Cut zip ties as well. Small tool I always carry and they worked when called on. Saved the day because the others didn’t bring anything to cut with.
Just received it last night and this morning I woke up thinking to myself, I missed the simcard eject tool. Eyes half open I couldn't really find it. Did not have my coffee yet and that is a valid excuse! Thanks to your channel it took 1 minute with my coffee to find it. And yes I seriously like the tool itself. For the price it looks really well made. You could also say that for a 1USD device but this falls in the category, really nice for the price and useful. It folds open really nicely, smooth and the tools are yet to be used, but I've used the other Nextool the mini flagship for 2 years now and it still works. There is no substitute for single tools but there is also no substitude for my back and just being able to fix or open things with a tool that you can put in your pocket. And thx again for the awesome channel!
I use the keyport organizer. It has some similar tools. The tools don't lock but it does have some good variety of choices. I'll look into the keysmart.
I have the pliers versions and it's really good for the price. I wonder if you can swap tools with this one to come up with custom one with the tools you need.
Lol I will receive mine soon and I ordered it simply because I wanted a mini tool with big scissors and mini pliers. I think some multitool designers have sometimes to think outside the box and some tool combinations and layouts can be the thing.
I picked up the mini sailor during prime day deals for less than $20 bucks, but I may still pick one of these scissors models up when it hits amazon. Mini sailor is pretty cool so far.
I remember your comparison of mini multitool scissors and the Nextool Mini Flagship did very well, so it's no surprise that the scissors on this also perform well. I was actually going to trade in my Squirt PS4 for a Micra, the scissors spring on broke and LM UK confirmed to me via email that they no longer replace them and send a Micra instead, but I think I'll pass on it, and put the Squirt in a kit instead where scissors aren't essential.
Interesting 🤔 I've been looking at picking up a Nextool product. I have a fair collection of Multitools and SAKs but haven't pulled the trigger on a Nextool. Maybe this is the one.
@@hvacbudget8600 Thank you for your answer) because I can't decide which instrument to buy, now I can buy a mini sailor for $13 or a mini flagship for $16, is it worth the extra money?)
I just got mine last week from Ali! Man this thing is awesome for under 20.00, I like leatherman but geesh this is getting ridiculously embarrassing for them..
Hi again! Question for you I’m really torn between shooting for the micra or just caving and buying the mini sailor scissors. I carry a curl with me everywhere (I felt the wave was to much for a hotel front office) and I want a companion for smaller tasks around the office, and I feel like the mss is maybe just to many things I won’t actually use on the tool, and I kinda hate redundancy (I know the curl has good scissors, but I feel a smaller tool will be less….intimidating?)
I've been considering trading my Leatherman Squirt PS4 for a Micra - the scissor spring on the Squirt broke and if I send it to LM UK under warranty I'll get a Micra in return, I checked with them via email. But the Micra scissors get mixed reviews, there seems to be a lot of variation in the performance and little consistency, so I've decided to keep my Squirt with broken scissors and put it in a survival kit as a last ditch tool. On the other hand the scissors on my Nextool Mini Flagship perform very well. The flattish but profiled Phillips screwdriver on it also performs much better than the completely flat on the Squirt, which gets damaged whenever I've tested using it. So I may well get the Nextool Mini Sailor Scissors version instead.
Finally! I stopped carrying the Micra as the scissors were just sub standard, but I prefer scissors on a key-chain tool. I'll pick this up. It's what I expect of Leatherman products VS the cheap Chinese versions now. The Chinese versions end up being better. Leatherman have a real problem with value for money,
Unfortunately Amazon doesn't yet but Nextool's US website carries the tool and Aliexpress. I will try to add a link to the website underneath the video tonight after work.
Still prefer the classic size of Victorinox, their scissors and overall quality are in a league of their own. My wife has a mini flagship, allthough cool Design and decent quality, the scissors are shit, just like on almost all Leatherman.
I mean when you’re comparing scissors between the two, sharpen your micra scissors instead of comparing one pair of brand new scissors, vs a pair of old, beat up scissors. This is not a fair comparison, by default. Build quality looks pretty good, but all they’re doing is just copying Leatherman.

Nextool is getting better each year, thanks for this video.

@@hvacbudget8600 Your channel was the one I was watching and made me pull the trigger to buy. Your channel deserves all the credit!
..the best mini scissors tool at the moment..
Have you tried the Keysmart key organizer. It has tools you can add to it, like tiny pliers, a driver, usb, bottle opener etc.

It might work. Interesting idea!

I agree!

You've got a good tool!
Aren't the handle edges uncomfortable in hand through ?
@@edwardfletcher7790 No problems with the one I have. I used it to help me take apart a printer head today. Works great
Yea...the micra scissors are just bad...they can't cut fabric cleanly either.

Is this the Nextleatherinox?
LoL! I think so!
How do the scissors on the mini sailor compare to the scissors on the mini flagship?
I may do a short video on this because I think both are really good!
Grind that simcard punch into a micro screwdriver? Or is it pretty soft steel?
It seems a bit thin. It probably is softer steel as well.
Interesting 🤔 I've been looking at picking up a Nextool product. I have a fair collection of Multitools and SAKs but haven't pulled the trigger on a Nextool. Maybe this is the one.
Hi, thx for the video! On your opinion which is best(or most sturdy)? Mini sailor or mini flagship?
I feel like the mini sailor is more streamlined, but the mini flagship is wider and has both sturdy scissors and pliers for it's size.
@@hvacbudget8600 Thank you for your answer) because I can't decide which instrument to buy, now I can buy a mini sailor for $13 or a mini flagship for $16, is it worth the extra money?)

It definitely is a really good competitor!
Is the nextool good for keychain carry?
At 3oz it's pretty light.
Out of curiosity, what’s that copper wire you bent?
looks like it's 14 gauge
If roxon can fit a small plier exactly like this one on the ks2 would be perfect for me.
Good idea!
Same here! I would absolutely love that. It's the only feature that's stopping me from buying one over a SAK Tinker model.

I think the mini sailor has the better scissors but I like my Micra as well. I like the Roxon M2 and M3 as well.
Cool

Oh yeah check out multitool worlds channel on these nextool mini sailor scissors tool, this guy is riot on destruction tests! Lmao!
New version and New function🎉,but lost a can opener, look like not good。
Who the crap needs a sim card ejector on their multi tool lmao
Well, I can tell you it can be very useful to adjust your bracelet at the clasp if you wear a watch :)
