This patch work is perfect for areas of the world that only have access to small pieces of fabric...some times they buy them in bulk from dress makers, and buy them cheaper than per the yard. I come from Central America, where fabric is very expensive, if purchased by the yard. Thank you for all your work, I think I am going to make a purse, 2 patches, one for the front and another for the back, because I am not a quilter, only a "sampler sewer" I just love this 4 patch block. Josefina
Love your videos, thank you so much! You got me believing that I could do it because your directions are so clear, that even at 71 I could still be creative ;)
Hi, I really appreciate the demonstration for cutting down the quilt blocks using the quilting ruler. I am visually impaired now and was worried about these kinds of details but seems like I will be able to figure this out. :). You make it look so fun and fulfilling, I wish I had a family member to watch doing this growing up. :)
Thank you for showing a scrap buster of 2 1/2 " and 5" squares. I love the border your friend, Jsnet used with 2 1/2 "squares to use up some more scraps. It really framed the quilt nicely. Enjoy your videos very much and your detail of teaching.
I have been quilting for years now. I am self taught. I am missing some vital foundation information. Thank you for going over some of the basics. It was very helpful. I subscribed immediately.
I really love this, most of the square in a square blocks have such odd math involved, and I love how easy this is with all my leftovers! You are always so clever and your instructions are so clear, thanks again, for another wonderful tutorial!
Good idea! So many of us quilters have these square sizes already from charm packs or mini charms, as well as left-overs- this is an easy and adaptable way to use them! Yum!
Thank you for a straight forward approach to making these squares. Your have such wonderful tips and tricks for making any blocks and I have picked up several new (easy) ways to sew my blocks by watching your videos. Please keep up the good work.
Haven't seen your videos in a while. Glad to see Bernini is now supporting your talent. Love your accent and your teaching which is quite clear and easy to follow. Hugs from the US.
Thank you for the floating four patch block. Your tutorials ate wonderfully taught. Great job.....I am going to make this for a baby quilt. Gloria Schleh from Missouri,.
I LOVE all your tutorials, including this one! I have been making four patches as my leader and ender project for the past couple of years, just using leftover 2.5 inch squares and strips, so I have a container of them ready to go! Now to decide on the 5 inch squares from my stash. Thank you so much for your tutorials!
I really love how simple you made this block to make. Some people make the same block needlessly complicated. Can't wait to make some floating four patches! This is a good use for candies....
I love watching your tutorials. You are probably the best quilting instructor I've come upon. Everything is taught in such a relaxed fashion. I actually stumbled upon your tutorials here on youtube and was previously focused on a few US venues that seem to be more focused on selling something extra rather than teaching. I like when you're instructing that you will use a tool, but offer advice if the person doesn't have that particular tool.
Thank you SO much for this tutorial. You explained how to make the block so easily with so many good tips. I especially appreciated your explanation of how to measure and trim the block. I really appreciate your tutorials.
Thanks for that tutorial. What a fantastic and beautiful way to use up those scraps, that normally seems so wasteful to discard. Very inspirational and as a retiree, can't afford to constantly buy new fabric. Stash here I come!!!.
Love the new block and as always your tutorial rocks! I've always loved how you make such delicious quilts using simple tools. Proof that it's not necessary to have a bunch of expensive gadgets to make beautiful quilts. Thanks bunches for all you share! Huggers!
Thank you! I have died to cut both squares & will be using this block to make my leaders & Enders secondary quilt blocks! Perfection! I didn't know how large to cut a triangle to make this type of block... nice ideas!
Yay!!! It's so nice to have you back doing tutorials at your "land" studio. Love this block, and how you explain it's nice for a group quilt. Also like Janet's quilt. Welcome, welcome, welcome back!
Great tutorial very easy to understand & follow. Such a beautiful quilt & as you say no end to the possibilities. Thank you so much as I am new to patchwork and quilting & looking forward to getting started.
Hi, You really made a nice quilt there. I have almost all the fabric(scraps) like the quilt your friend made too. Just need a few yards to finish. Thank you for your tutorial my dear.
Thank you! I'm inspired to go through my stash and cut leftovers into manageable pieces. Going to work on 2/12" and 5" squares to build up enough for a quilt like this. Amazing how much stash leftovers get to be overwhelming if you don't control them! Love your easy to follow tutorials!
Hi I'm a new quilter I like what you've done here it is so attractive and you explain it simply. I do like the scrappy quilts. I've just got a newer used Bernina and can't wait to get started on my first project. It just might be this one.I don't have so many remanants so I might just get some color coordinated groups. Thank you for making it look fun and kinda easy.Bonnie
