- Due to a recent article published by the BBC titled, “How A Vegan Diet Could Affect Your Intelligence", there has been a lot of speculation regarding the safety of vegan diets.
Among other false ideas, the author claims that plant-based diets are low in certain nutrients including iron, vitamin B6, and folate. This article is the perfect example of how even reputable news outlets can publish opinion pieces with cherry-picked studies and inaccurate information.
Fortunately, I'm sharing the science-based evidence with you in this video so you can let go of any fears regarding a plant-based diet!

Great info. Got my sub!!
Thanks Robbie!
a friend of mine has a rare condition where she absorbs to much iron from heme sources, and she has dangerous levels of iron in her blood. for her the lower absorption of the plant based iron is beneficial.
Thanks for clarifying. Honestly, after reading that article I was so much confused.
I can simple say that whenever I meet vegan people I see so much positivity and beauty on their faces whereas animal eater look aggressive to me. You would be aggressive in actions too had you not been getting your meat from the store but butchering yourself. Thanks to commercialism non vegetarians are spared from butchering poor animals
Not to mention that B12 deficiencies are pretty common amongst omnivores too.
Plants in moderation are great, but to eat them exclusively? Honestly, every vegan I have known really wasn't banging on all 8... And after a number of years, they seemed pretty sickly too.
Thanks for info
Thanks Giselle!
i follow someone on social media who was following a keto diet, eating predominantly meat, dairy and misc processed items and they just shared that they were tested and had extremely low B and iron----interesting.....
Thank you for debunking the myth.
BBC being unscrupulous again, even when there's overwhelming evidence that a plant-based diet is most healthy. Thanks for the video Whitney.
Glad you enjoyed it!
bruh its healthy to eat meat.milk and vegetables other than only eat vegetables so I'll eat my hamburger thank you very much
@@smartfroggyboi2246 Nope it's not healthy. a lot of studies proves that eating animal products makes people sick. So I'll eat my vegan hamburger. Thank you.
No need to analyze. Data always outweigh logic.
You are right to criticize and did so well 👍🏽
But, the articles makes many valid points and your frequent counter-argument, that a well-planned vegan diet doesn't have this problem, is missing the point. You yourself know best that it isn't easy to understand all this intricate matter and that science itself still doesn't know it all. Therefore, many conclusions of the BCC article may apply to many/most newborn vegans of today. Ergo, clearcut absolute conclusions aren't possible, but a critical view might push some people to inform themselves.
"You are right to criticize and did so well" you make it sound like a teacher praising a student
Do you have any conflict of interest? Can i trust your informationen to be objective and true? Im always sceptical, nothing personal.
Why is it you dont link the studies you reffer to in your description? Can you add them?
I saw the your, expect direct pubmed links for some reason. Dont mind my first post. Thank you for your transparency 👍
